Blog #1: WoW-Pro Updates & Activities
Hey folks, this is a full heads up on my plans here on WoW-Pro. I’ll be releasing a bunch of guides in the near future, as well as helping to make the site and content fully up-to-date with the Cataclysm expansion. Read on for more info…
Guides
Warrior Guides:
I will be releasing 3 seperate guides on the Warrior class, one for each of the specs. They will include full evaluations on talents, glyphs, abilities, as well as a couple of other features such as race and profession choices! In the future I will also include both PvE and PvP guides too. These will be seperate from the origional guides as I want those to be accessable and open to all players, therefore I will write those with the mindset of starting from scratch.
The future PvE guides for each spec will include rotaions, talent and glyph choices, gearing options, and gemming and enchanting choices.
The PvP guides will include talent and glyph choices, a gearing (and enchanting and gemming) section, as well as combat tips – battlegrounds and Arenas, as well as duels and specific help against each individual class.
Profession Guides:
I’m also going to be release full comprehensive guides on some professions. They will include information on the profession, rewards, detailed information on everything in the profession, and of course complete guides on levelling from skill level 1 all the way to the max of 525! I’ll be writing these guides for the following professions:
- Archeology
- Engineering
- Mining
- And who knows, maybe other professions in the future too!
WoW-Pro Updates
As some of you may already know, Jiyambi and I have discussed the current content on the site and it’s viability in the new expansion. Jiyambi has a news post already up, located here which I suggest that all guide authors take a minute and read. There are a whole bunch of top quality guides on here. Though with the release of the new expansion and content ingame, they will soon become outdated. Also and sadly, there are guides on here which are completely out of date already, guides which are a repeat of someone else’s guide, or others which are small helpful tips on their own that perhaps don’t quite constitue a full guide, but can be combined with each other’s small guides into one large and comprehensive guide.
We have a great community here and wish for you all to be able to have the best guides and help you can. This means that we will be looking at updating the guides that will be (or already are) out-of-date, and look at combining the smaller 1-tip guides or repeated topics into a collective WIKI page, viewable and controlable, and also updatable, by everyone. I must stress though that NO guides will be outright deleted! We will ensure that all of the origionals are safe and available to the authors of them. And also remember that all of your hard work and effort is greatly appriciated, and whatever action is taken with the content, full notice and credit will be given to the respective authors 🙂
We will be doing this because we want the site to be the best it can be, for you all. This means that it needs to be up-to-date to the current game version that we play and that it is all of relevant value. Also, it needs to be clean, concise, comprehensive, and easy to use and view. The whole process is aimed as a small tidy-up of little bits of clutter, and to ensure that all the content we have available to the community is not only viable and works in the current game, but also the best it can be. Overall, making the site better for you and helping you get that bit more from your gaming.
That’s it from me for now. Feel free to leave me comments and/ or messages, feedback is always greatly appriciated and any questions you have I’ll do my best to answer them 🙂
Peace out!
