How To Install:
- Download the addon using the big shiny button.
- Download TomTom from WoW Interface or Curse. TomTom is important! Without it, you won’t see the arrow telling you where to go! Get version v70000-1.0.0 or later.
- Unzip the downloaded files into your addons directory. (How do I unzip the file?)Windows 7/8 location:
C:UsersPublicGamesWorld of WarcraftInterfaceAddons
Mac location:
Macintosh Main HD/Applications/World of Warcraft/Interface/Addons
- Log into the game. In the lower left-hand corner of your character select screen, you should see an “Addons” button. Click it. The WoW-Pro addon and TomTom should both be listed. Make sure they are checked, and you’re ready to go!
- If you have any trouble installing the guide, stop by our Addon Help Chat Room to get help!
You can also visit the WoW-Pro Leveling Addon Troubleshooting Guide, where you’ll find a fix for most common issues.

I went AWOL from WoW for aI went AWOL from WoW for a little bit and lost most of what little knowledge I had of it, but I remember using a quest addon to help out. I checked out Curse and saw Quest Helper and thought that was what I used. With it, I became frustrated, annoyed, and finally just gave p using it because it wasn’t up to date and most markers simply were not there. Then I finally figured out it was this addon, the WoW-Pro Quest addon that I had used in the past. I am so thankful you guys are still on it and working hard, and I want to let you all know how great your work is. It’s made questing not only easy, but fun, professional, and very educational in terms of the quirks of the game. This addon is a MUST have, and belongs to a Hall of Fame of WoW addons. Thank you all again for your work!-Micah
i never did i had my cursei never did i had my curse just fully ignored the update so it wont update or tell me but ya iv seen over 7 steps skipped so far in the guide 1 in ashenvale and 6 in desolace whats with this? and i swear the captcha is bugging the heck out of me
A little buggy at timesThis addon is extremely helpful. However, some steps won’t auto-complete (travel steps for example) which wouldn’t be a problem except sometimes the step checkbox is not clickable. Not at all. I spend forever hovering over and no tooltip appears. I click like a madman and it doesn’t progress. The only way to check off that step then would be to open the current guide and manually check off the step that way which is extremely counter-productive.I don’t know whether this is a known bug but as the addon hasn’t received an update yet I’m guessing not. As I side note I use the addon alongside Carbonite and they work together fantastically. A great combination!
Curse UpdateDon’t use curse to update it after you download it from here. Curse only contsains the trial version.
iv tryed to downlaod this andiv tryed to downlaod this and when i used my curse client it says the guide is a 2.1.26 trial version how the i ge tthe 2.2.5 version that iv downaleded 3 times from here? also the guide is skipping steps it has done it twice for me so far once in Ashenvale now once in desloace it skipped 3 parts to kill naga to get the satchel then hearth back and turn in
I think what that isI think what that is referring to is setting your Rank setting to Rank 2 or maybe even 3. This allows you to auto skip some of the quests, and focus on the main quest line of the zone. Since you are getting extra xp from the heirlooms / RAF you will be outleveling each zone if you do every quest, which is what Rank 1 setting does.
Recruit a Friend System (RaF)In the listed features I see that it says the program works with xp adjustments such as, RaF and Heirlooms. However I cannot seem to find a configuration in the pogram for these features. Please Help. Thanks In advanced.
That would be because theThat would be because the syntax of the guide is wrong for that waypoint, resulting in an attempt to send you to the area “Midsummer Fire Festival”, and since that zone does not exist, it’s using the current area, which in your case would have been Durotar, I guess…
Midsummer Fire Festival (Alliance) ErrorStep # 65: asks you to go to ratchet but it sends you to Echo Isles… the correct location is Northern Barrens 70, 73
Midsummer Festival Guide (Addon Version)Step #21 has you go and buy Juggling Torches x20. However the location it sends you to doesn’t have a Midsummer supplier, instead there is nothing here. The location should be changed to Darnassus (61, 48).
WoW AddonI got error page that says “404 or something like that, what can i do?…. perhaps is something bad with my conection but everything seems to work fine…
Work? Haha. It really isWork? Haha. It really is simple.(1) Download and install Grail.(2) Type “/grail verifynpcs” (which will take a couple minutes but you can still play)(3) After logging out or reloading the UI, post the saved variables file <WoW foder>/WTF/Account/<account name>/SavedVariables/Grail.lua to a new forum at http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/grail/forum/ or mail me here.I know you mentioned you do not play in deDE client, and that is why I phrased my request like I did. If you are a German speaker it would be great if you could review the current German localization, but it is not necessary. If any of your friends wants to test out the German localization I have a prerelease page which has the versions in German at http://ns1.mithrandir.com/WorldOfWarcraft/WhollyGrailPrerelease.shtml and I will be updating that with some recent changes, probably today. Thank you for any efforts you make in getting your friends to help. Do not worry about it at all, as there are only about 128 NPCs for the German client that are not localized. It is just a little more difficult for me to get to them, and those playing in deDE client all the time probably have a better chance of encountering them (especially during WoW holidays).
I could of course ask someI could of course ask some friends of mine if they were willing to do that for you, but as I said before, I’m using the english client myself. I don’t even have a german language pack installed, so I won’t be of much help there… I’ll ask around in my guild and friends list, but I don’t think there’s anyone interested in doing actual work for a game 😛 I’ll give you a call when I do meet someone interested though.
Estelyen,
If you are a GermanEstelyen,If you are a German speaker, would you have any interest in helping to localize my frontend to the Grail database, Wholly? Also, there are some German NPCs that I do not have localized in Grail yet, and if any of your friends who run with a deDE client are interested, they can help give me the localized NPC data. Basically they would need to have the latest version of Grail installed. And then they would do the slash command “/grail verifynpcs” which would write any NPCs they encountered (that are quest related) that I do not have localized into a saved variables file that could be sent to me.
Ah I see… Now that I thinkAh I see… Now that I think about what you said in your first post again I realize you were talking about getting a specific piece of gear as a quest reward (“quest item” like you phrased it made me stupidly think only about those “special” items like the companion pets you rarely get for quests… Didn’t about the usual quest rewards at all, my bad 😛 ).Also, localization is something I would really like, I could finally persuade those guildmates of mine that refuse to use any english addons to try WoWPro (playing on a german server but using an english WoW Client myself, as I think the german localization of the game is nothing short of a catastrophe since BC, where they decided to “translate” names of people and places… makes me puke 😡 )And finally, you’re right, the guide logic could really benefit from it… Kind of makes the latest changes you made to the code kind of obsolete since I think Grail could do all that a lot better, doesn’t it?
Cooperation with Grail, not dependencyIt will be an optional possibility. If Grail is installed alongside WoW-Pro:We could enable quest-line selectionWe could enable NPC and quest name localizationWe could more accurately flag quest prerequisites, dependencies and level limitsThe quest parsing logic can see if Grail is active and then use the DB in Grail to “fill in the blanks” and edit the strings as appropriate. But we would not require Grail.
GrailFor those that (like me 😉 ) do not know what the hell Grail is, it’s a database of quests in WoW that could possibly made to communicate with WoWPro about what quests are still missing to get a specific one (if I understand that correctly :P) Link on Curse: http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/grailQuestion though: Does that mean that future versions of WoWPro will be packed together with or dependent on Grail or will that just be an optional possibility for those that want the feature? Because I think a database of all quests in WoW would be quite huge (haven’t tested grail though, so sorry if I’m mistaken) and people with slower computers might run into trouble.
In the works … Wow-Pro + Grail.I have been experimenting with an integration between Wow-Pro and Grail.I was able to use it successfully to pick a quest I wanted to complete and the program chose all the prerequisite quests automatically!Useful for twinks or when you only care about a particular quest item.
Mulgore updateErm….opps! I missed the 2.2.3 release. My “few more tweaks” has now become a lot more!Hopefully I’ll have this ready for the next release, in the meantime I’ll update the source code for the Thunderhorn Cleansing fix.
Release 2.2.3 here!A new release is availible here.I can not seem to update the main page or add a blog posting.Big Changes:Added Argen Dawn, Crusade and an Alliance Night Elf Tournament (yea, it needs some work) guidesFixed a bug when reseting a guide by shift clicking in the guide list panelAdded Valiance Expedition Guide and Ebon Blade GuideFixed a crash in the Dalies module where the guide used a LEAD tagChanged the displayed name of the guide from the default zone, to the name, if the guide has it.There is a bug I am tracking down where if you complete a quest with the addon not enabled, it may not be properly marked as completed.Cheers!
Thunderhorn CleansingHmmm had some others report this bug as well in the past, yet I’d never managed to replicate it…until tonight. The step to complete the quest is in the guide, however for some reason when you accept the quest, it thinks you’ve completed it and removes the completion step (which is after the Kyle the Frenzied turn in). Here’s the code from the guide:T Thunderhorn Totem|QID|24441|M|48.59,59.89|Z|Mulgore|R|Tauren|N|To Mull Thunderhorn.|A Thunderhorn Cleansing|QID|24456|PRE|24441|M|48.59,59.89|Z|Mulgore|R|Tauren|N|From Mull Thunderhorn.|T Mazzranache|QID|26188|M|47.18,56.76|Z|Mulgore|N|To Maur Raincaller.|C Kyle’s Gone Missing!|NC|US|QID|11129|M|47.18,56.76|Z|Mulgore|U|33009|T|Kyle the Frenzied|N|Wait here until you see Kyle the Frenzied. Target him and place the Tender Strider Meat on the ground.|T Kyle’s Gone Missing!|QID|11129|M|48.31,53.17|Z|Mulgore|N|To Ahab Wheathoof.|C Thunderhorn Cleansing|NC|QID|24456|M|44.98,45.25|Z|Mulgore|R|Tauren|N|Use the Thunderhorn Cleansing Totem at the well.|U|5415|QO|Well Cleansed|After doing numerous tweaks to the code to try and find a fix for this, I just had a thought…maybe it had something to do with the previous well cleansing quest (Winterhoof Cleansing), so i removed the |QO| and VIOLA! no more vanishing step. I’ll update the source code as well before the next release as there are a few more tweaks that this guide needs now too.
Thanks for the hard workI am returning to wow after 3 years away, and one of the first things I did was make sure that the Jame guides were still around. So glad to see this alive and kicking! Now for the issue :)I started a Tauren Druid, so this pertains to the Mulgore guide. I can’t remember the actual step numbers, but it points you to pick up the quest Thunderhorn Cleansing, and a bit later there is a step to turn it in. However, there was no step that actually pointed you to the well to perform the cleansing. I had to run back and do it when I realized it was telling me to turn in an unfinished quest. Not a huge deal, but the runback was kind of tedious.
I am having the same problem.I am having the same problem. Did you find a fix to it? I have redownloaded it maybe 7 times, and its the same every time.
Are you using the latestAre you using the latest version of WoWPro? Because I think the check for swatter has been removed in v2.2.0.
It´s coming up in the chatt, “swatter”?I think it´s said that I have to install (swatter)? or somthing to make the guide work proper
Mac Folder PropertiesSelect the Addons folder and then do command (Apple) – I .In the “Sharing & Permissions” section, make sure you have “Read & Write” set for yourself.
It won’t let me move theIt won’t let me move the wow_pro folders into the addons folder. It just makes that noise that means its throwing it in the trash.
Unzipping on the MacIf you downloaded the zip file into your “Downloads” folder, then the folders you need to copy will be inside the folder called “WoWPro v2.2.0“. They will be called “WoWPro“, “WoWPro_Achievements“, “WoWPro_Dailies“, “WoWPro_Leveling“, “WoWPro_Profession” and “WoWPro_WorldEvents“. They need to be dragged into the Addons folder in your “/Applications/World of Warcraft/Interface” folder. If you did that, what error did you get?PS: I am a mac user myself.
Transferring the FileHey,I am on a mac and when I dl the file i unzip it but my comp won’t let me transfer the new folderto my addons folder. Anybody know what’s up with this? Thanks
help plzi have a quetion i got it in the folder but i had to move it from another place to there becuase im using google chrome and when i go to get into my game it isent there could you please tell me what to do it would help alot thanks 🙂
No Need for SwatterWe used to require Swatter as it was the best maintained error trapper. But recenly, Blizzard added a default handler which is not bad.I’ll remove the check for today’s build.
Try right-clicking the step. Try right-clicking the step. Also which guide, Horde or Alliance?EDIT: Ok, if it is the Horde guide I see why, though right-clicking should still work. If it doesn’t open up the guide with Notepad (preferably Notepad++ as it is easier to edit in) and add “|QID|27886|” (without quotes) to the lines talking about the statues.
Badlands GuideI’m doing zones for the achievements and the Badlands one keeps getting stuck on the quest “The Sentinel’s Game” notes. The part where it tells me to turn the first statue specifically.
I’ve tried checking it off but nothing happens. I tried resetting the guide, I tried reinstalling the addon. Nothing worked.
Swatter?Every time I use the LDB icon to open/close the leveling add-on I get a message saying I do not have Swatter installed. Swatter is part of the Auctioneer Suite. I have the most recent version of the Auctioneer Suite loaded and running. This message is becoming spammy and annoying because I often open and close the main leveling add-on on my higher level characters, not to mention it is completely incorrect as I DO have Swatter installed AND running. What if my preferred bug notification is Bug Grabber and Bug Sack? Is this message really necessary?

Molten WoWI was just wondering if the leveling addon will work with Molten WoW and if so what version would I need to install for it to be working correctly. Thanks
Addon folderWhere exactly your addon folder will be will depend on your operating system and where you installed the game on your system (if not installed using the default settings). The default install addon folder locations are:Windows XP: C:Programs FilesWorld of WarcraftInterfaceAddOnsWindows Vista/7: C:UsersPublicGamesWorld of WarcraftInterfaceAddOnsMac: Macintosh Main HD/Applications/World of Warcraft/Interface/AddOnsIf it’s not installed to one of those locations, check the properties of the shortcut you use to launch the game and where it’s target is, that’ll be your install folder, the rest you should be able to find from there. If you’ve run the game at all since you installed it, the addon folder will exsist, as much of the UI itself now is made from Blizzard made addons, which all run from the addon folder.
Addon Folder? Please help!?!?hello i need your help is there an addons folder?? becuase i havent found one and there is no WOTLK folder either if you could tell me were it is or what should i do? thank you..
Re: AddOn not thereCheck your WoW install folder for WOTLK folder, you’ll need to install the addons into it’s interfaceaddons folder.
AddOn not thereI added this guide and tomtom arrow when i loaded WoW a month ago and it worked just fine. This month I upgraded to wrath of the litch king and the guide and tomtom are no longer there. I have tried redownloading it but it did not work. Does this guide not work with wrath of the litch king? Please get back to me because the guide was so helpful
Missing TomTom arrowWow dude 7:25am on Christmas day….you’re keen! 😛 Anyway, if you can tell us what guide were you using at the time, we can then look into your problem.
Missing Waypoint Arrow on TomTom?I recently created a new character and freshly downloaded TomTom and WoW-Pro Addons and started to play once I got in the game there was no waypoint arrow to guide me and when ever I would accept a quest or finish one it wouldn’t say so in the current guide, it looked as if I had completed 0% of the guide.HALP?
You can right-click theYou can right-click the header, then click on ‘Current Guide’, then just scroll and uncheck the ones you skipped by accident. You can also do ‘Reset Guide’, but that can sometimes clear a bunch of quests you’ve done already.
Clicked on next quest by mistakeSo I got a new quest and i by mistake said skip quest and now i dont know what to do in the quest and the way point is set different, how do i go to my previous quest to get my waypoint back and get the details?
WoW Pro and the missing TomTom arrowOk, could you both let me know if the issue still happens with just WoWPro and TomTom enabled. When you cleared the saved variables did you clear both the account and the character ones? Have you tried right clicking the titlebar and resetting the guide, does it help?Try using Carbonite instead of TomTom, does the problem persist?Just firing off ideas here, as I can’t replicate your issuesOn the captcha issue, while we’re sorry about that, it was unfortunately needed due to the amount of spam posts we were getting. Spending over 30 minutes marking posts as spam on each visit to the site isn’t mine or anyone elses idea of fun!
Same problem as VynilI am having the same problem as him with the arrow not showing up but i still have details about the quest from WoWPRO but I have no arrow and TomToms arrow way point is enabled so clearly something is wrong.
It’s on all the steps. I haveIt’s on all the steps. I have updated it again since the patch and still the same thing. The arrow shows when I use Quest Helper but not Wow-Pro. Also Wow-Pro is not completing any step when I finish something (flight point, quest [accept or turn in], etc.). Even if I manually click it (right or left) it does nothing. Opening the guide and clicking off the steps does nothing either.I’ve fresh re-installed the addon, I’ve cleared the wtf saved variables and reinstalled again and nothing has fixed it.On a side note, your captchas frequently had letters too small for me to see to enter them correctly and with no audio option, I had to refresh numerous times to even be able to post.
TomTom problemOk, lets see if we can’t get to the bottom of this. Is the error occuring all the time, or just on a specific guide/step?Have you tried resetting your guide? Right click the titlebar, then click “Reset current guide”Does the error still happen with just TomTom and WoWPro enabled?
I have the same problem and II have the same problem and I have checked and the arrow is not disabled in TomTom. I installed both up-to-date addons today.
Sounds like you’ve disabledSounds like you’ve disabled TomTom’s arrow somehow or it’s not set itself correctly. Open TomTom’s option and see what you can find there
