Current Version: 2.1.8
Last Update: Apr 20, 2011
Next Update: Mar 04, 2011
We’ve got another update!
The highlights for this update include:
- Updates to some guides, as we incorporate the suggestions and bug fixes from YOU, our community! There are 118 guides, of which 8 had updates.
- Yet another round of bug fixes.
- A Beta version of the Dailies is now bundled in.
- A promise to update the guides every other week.
The updated guides include:
- Alliance Swamp_of_Sorrows Tweaks (Crackerhead22)
- Alliance Nagrand Update (Crackerhead22)
- Alliance Dragonblight Major Update (Crackerhead22)
- Alliance Grizzly_Hills Major Update (Crackerhead22)
- Alliance Icecrown Tweaks (LM)
- Alliance Hyjal Tweaks (LM)
- Alliance Deepholm Tweaks (LM)
- Alliance Uldum Tweaks (LM)
I guess everyone is playing Alliance these past two weeks. I also wish to apologize for the comments submitted to the guide source pages that have not yet been incorporated. We are running behind there.
We also have a few general bug fixes in this update:
- Track errors in location for later data mining. (LM)
- Tried to make transition easier for people who switch from using the Curse addon. (LM)
During release testing I discovered one bug of note. There are over 400 steps scattered throughout the guides that have syntax errors, as reported by my new consistency checking tool. This will be addressed in the next release.
While the current guides are pretty good, we will be working constantly to improve and update these guides. Remember that if you notice a bug, you can help us by reporting it!
Also, Version 2.2.0 is going in the oven soon. It will change the guide syntax slightly and include a new parser to facilitate the elimination of duplicate code in the addons. However, it will not go live until we have a clean set of guides and are all caught up with comment changes. Stay tuned for more news on this later.
If you have trouble getting our addon to work, please check our “Troubleshooting Page” first. If you still need help, you can always stop by our “Friendly Chat Room“!

We are both not so smartWell, at least testing for your bug made me find another, legit bug in code that I had recently added.I’ll cut a release just cause it will make people feel good.
Like I said, I’m an idiot. Like I said, I’m an idiot. You were right about the rank thing. When I had edited a line to put the item usage on it for accepting a quest, I put it right where the rank is. XDThanks for figuring out my goof up.
Compatability issues?I did run the addon on the 4.1 PTR and found no problems. That being said, I spun up a new Org Warrior to test and found an error with an R step with no QID.The code I added to catch errors on step completion errored in the print. The problem you are seeing seems to RANK tag related. Either you have a string for the rank or you have corrupted WoWProDB.profile.rank in your settings.
Don’t mind me, I’m an idiot. Don’t mind me, I’m an idiot. Apparently I forgot to update the core part of the addon. That or it has something to do with the edits I’ve made. O_oEDIT: Apparently it is the edits I had made to mine, I’ll have to figure what I did. o.O
Exact errorEDIT: On further testing, it seems it is only doing it with the Deepholm (Alliance), which is the only guide I actually updated recently.
EDIT2: Switched Deepholm back to the 2.1.7 version, and it works now. o.O

Sadly with the changes to 4.1Sadly with the changes to 4.1, it is broken. I think it has to do with the way addon messages are filtered/called now. More info-http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/2228413591 since I am lost on what the hell that means.
