Update: The WoW-Pro addon should now work correctly if you follow these steps:
- Download the update to Tour Guide and extract it into your addon folder.
- Download the update to TomTom and extract it into your addon folder.
- Download the update to Lightheaded and extract it into your addon folder.
- On the character selection screen, select “Load out of date addons” (for now our guides are listed as out of date, but they still work fine. This will be fixed soon)
Please let us know if you still have trouble after following these steps!
Thanks to everyone who left feedback, and sorry that it took me a while to respond… I may or may not have been screwing around in WoW with my new cat form 🙂
Tried that with no success…Tried that with no success…
I have heard others complainI have heard others complain about this. I use cartographer instead of tomtom, and it’s working fine. If you can’t get TomTom to work, that might be an alternative (though cartographer is a much bigger addon with functionality that you may not want.
TomTomI was wondering if anyone else tom tom isn’t pulling the coords for some reason. I have no arrow anyhow. I have lightheaded set to autosend info to tomtom. Is it meant to happen automatically with this guide or am I suppose to click on the coords in lightheaded each time? It’s weird cause if I chose a different guide out of the list the arrow would show…
And I have all the most up to date versions of all the addons.
Add OnsI haven’t seen any add ons like this, I would try this one when I play my account in WOW, this is such a helpful device. I woulod like to try this one and send feedbacks on what will happen soon. I love druids lol! Hope there’s WOW Druid Guide too.

Wow-Pro Addon Potential FixHello everyone, I believe I may have a solution to the problem of the addon not showing up on the in-game UI.
Here is what I did, step by step:
-I installed all the updated addons into both the C drive WOW folder and the Public folder on my computer.
-I then located James Alliance and Horde guides addon using the path: computer-(c:)-program files-WOW-Interface-Addon
-I then opened the Alliance folder and RIGHT CLICKED on one of the LUA guide files, and selected options, and changed the program it opened with to notepad. (the big change button)
-I then right clicked on the only TOC file in the folder and did that same thing as above.
-I then did the same thing to the Horde folder
-I did the same thing to the Alliance and Horde folders in the Public folder.
-I logged into the game and made sure all of the addons were in the log after i clicked the addon buttin in the character selection screen ( the addons that should be there are: Lightheaded, Lightheaded Data A-E, Lightheaded NPC, Lightheaded QID…,TomTom, Tourguide,WOW-Pro Alliance and/or Horde.
-Then make sure “load out-of-date addon” is checked
-Log into any character
-Open Game Menu (escape key)
-Click interface, followed by clicking the addon tab on the top of the left hand column
-Click the tiny plus icon next to the word “Tourguide”
-Click on the guides option
-James guides should be shown there, select the one you wish to follow
-Log out of your character without doing anything else
-Log back into the same character and the addon should be up and telling you what to do
You can most likely skip the first 5 bullets as I was mostly messing with it at that point, but I wanted to include them in case those steps were needed. Feel free to contact me.
Darn, I just don’t know whatDarn, I just don’t know what the problem could be. My knowledge of addons is from a user perspective only, and this is going beyond it. If anyone knows why this wouldn’t be working, for this user specifically, let us know.
Yes I’ve updated everything,Yes I’ve updated everything, and the box is checked to load the out of date wow-pro addon. I tried something though. I went into the game both with the wowpro addon on, and off. It seems I get the same result either way. Its like it doesn’t even know the addon is there.
I really hate both hearingI really hate both hearing and giving this answer, but it may be an addon conflict or something. I know I am able to load the Horde guides fine, as are others. Try re-downloading the horde guide if you haven’t already done so, otherwise I’m not sure what to try next.
I did more testing. ItI did more testing. It appears to be specific to the horde guide. I tried loading just the alliance and everything was fine. If I try just the horde or horde & alliance, I get the lua error.
Yes the guides show up inYes the guides show up in the Addon selection screen. I did disable the WOW-Pro guides and I don’t get the error. If I re-enable the guide, the error comes back. So it appears to be something with the outdated guide.
Hmmm, are the WoW-Pro guideHmmm, are the WoW-Pro guide addons showing up in your addon selection screen? That might help us determine where the problem is.
Haha, yeah cat is my newHaha, yeah cat is my new solo spec for my druid 🙂 I’m glad everything is working!
Sorry to add to the problems…I don’t mean to add more heat to the fire but it seems I’m having a different problem entirely. I downloaded and replaced all of the addons, and enabled the guides to run through as out of date. Everything works but for some reason none of Jame’s guides appear in the list of guides. It seems that they are just generic leveling guides. Anyone have any ideas?
Thank you Jiyambi for theThank you Jiyambi for the links 🙂 Got everything working, so far so good! Loving my new cat form look!! lol
lua:430 error with tourguideI downloaded all the new components and set everything up per the instructions but when I log into WOW, I get a 7 page window with errors having to do wit TourGuide lua errors. When I close the window, the program doesn’t load. Is anyone else having this issue?
still not workingI wonder if in my efforts to get the tom tom arrow up and working I changed some sort of setting in either tomtom or tourguide… anyone know of any issues I might have caused myself in the settings?
Re: TomTom isn’t workingIt might just be a setting mixup, if you can get the green dot on the map try right-clicking it and clicking “Add To Arrow”.
Awesome, thanks for theAwesome, thanks for the info. I’ll get some download links going here for convenience.
Everything works perfectlyI downloaded the newest Tourguide and Tomtom from Curse and the newest Lightheaded from Wowinterface.
First I thought Jame’s guide did not work, but after ticking “load out of date addons” it did work.
Now I can continue leveling again 😀
Lightheaded updatedLightheaded also was not loading properly for me, but there is an update that I just got. Not tested. No guarantees. Just letting you know. 🙂

It sounds like there areIt sounds like there are still some bugs with the group of addons. If *anyone* has this working perfectly, could you provide links to the download sites where you got your updates?
I can’t test them out right now, but I might be able to tonight. Sorry folks.
Good point. I’ll release aGood point. I’ll release a quick fix for this sometime soon, but until then you can either do this, or just “load out of date addons” until it comes out. I might be a bit busy for the next few days though, and don’t have access to the guide files from this computer.
TomTom isn’t workingI get the guide to work but not TomTom even if I load out of date addons, anyone knows how to get the arrow back?
Its Up NowDownload TourGuide for 3.2 from http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info7674. If it isn’t named Tourguide after rename it and then move it to your addon folder and click “replace all”. Do not replace the wow-pro folder though.
For me the TourGuide folder was named TourGuide-1, you cannot delete the old folder and then move the new one in because that might cause the loss of your progress in the guides.
I tested it and it works fine, just like it did before the update.
The addonTourguide is updated and works fine. I was wrong it does work I forgot to load out of date addons.
tom tomIt seems my issue is with the tom tom arrow… downloaded the updates in the posts below, but still I am not getting the arrow directing me to the next stop/quest. Any thoughts on why it appears everything is working except the arrow?
Quick Fix for the Guide addonI ran into trouble today when trying to use Jame’s guide inside of Tourguide. After updating Tourguide, the wowHorde guide was still showing up as Out of Date.
So I went digging inside the C:Program FilesWorld of WarcraftInterfaceAddOnsWoW-Pro_TourGuide_Horde folder and found the WoW-Pro_TourGuide_Horde.toc file in that directory. I then changed the first line from:
## Interface: 30100
to
## Interface: 30200
After that the Addon was not Out of Date anymore and I could select the guide from tourguide. Hope this helps out a few people.
Well , I don’t really knowWell , I don’t really know how to code an addon so I can’t help but for sure some of our plug ins may need to be converted in order to work with the new version of the addon.
Also, I hate you americans >.< you get patches 1 day before us, poor dwellers of ol' Country 🙁 I also have a level 62 druid so I'm excited to see the new forms, but I'm more focused on leveling my warlock 😉
Tourguide UpdatedI have gone to the TourGuide download page, it is showing to be updated for the 3.2 patch. Not sure though if James addon will work with it. It shows to be out of date and gray for me in my addons folder.

Updated 4 hrs ago.
Update for TourGuide hasUpdate for TourGuide has been released on Curse. The add-on is now working. At least for me.
TourGuide has been patchedTourGuide has been patched and it is both. My tourguide is working now but your plug-in isn’t.
Tah Da!http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=7674
it’s only the beta version of the update but it is 3.2 compatible.
TourGuideWoWInterface has an updated version of TourGuide for 3.2, installing this made my WoW-Pro Addon work.
Confirmed, updated TourGuideConfirmed, updated TourGuide fixes the addon issue. Works just fine now 🙂
TourGuideOkay, I have confirmed that all the guides on TourGuide work, and it is updated. The link on the home page is sort of broken. If you click on it, it says that the link is broken but it redirects you to Tekkub’s home page. Then you can click the TourGuide link on the right of the page to download it from the next page.
The link on the alliance and horde addon download pages to tourguide work correctly.

TourGuide is Updated!TourGuide is updated! The link on Jame’s post on the home page works and links you to the correct download of TourGuide. I suppose the guides in-game work correctly, but I will check it and inform you on another post if all the guides are working correctly on the updated patch.

TomTomThere is now a new version out. I downloaded it and it doesn’t show as out of date.
TourGuide apparently updatedTourGuide apparently updated with a 3.2.0 beta version about an hour ago on CurseGaming.

I take Cash Checks and gold 😀
Btw Tomtom is outdated also so No arrows.
I’ll try to find that one next.
Tourguide updateJust wanted to give a heads up tourguide has been updated on wowinterface. 🙂
Curse had a new beta of TourCurse had a new beta of Tour Guide
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/tourguide.aspx
Everything seems to work fine with everything else once, I downloaded this!
Thanks as always for the great work everyone.
Just downloaded the up-toJust downloaded the up-to date TourGuide from Curse.com
Temporary fixOpen your interfaceaddonstourguidebroker.lua file with wordpad
Line 72 should read:
WatchFrame_Update()
put –(space) in front of that so that it reads:
— WatchFrame_Update()
it should work fine. I don’t claim credit for that, I got it off the TourGuide board.
WoW-Pro AddOnIt appears that the WoW-Pro AddOn does not have any problems. When you click any of the WoW-Pro guides in the TourGuide options in-game, and click the built-in guides, both of them have the same errors. So I would just send notice to Tekkub and wait for the updated version. In the meantime, everyone should just stick to the online guides.

UPDATESany idea of an ETA for a update?? 🙁
