RE: Missing StepsDid you try resetting the guide (from the title bar or addons menu)? I have noticed sometimes guides will for no reason I can figure out advance to the middle when I first open them, but once I reset (not /reload) it will behave. As to the starting in Dalaran, Guide has no way of knowing where you are to detect which steps to display. That line is to get everyone starting at the same point.
Missing step(s)?Don’t know if I’m missing something, I get the message starting in Dalaran (even though I’m in Dalaran), I right click on Treasure, Rares and Ranks tab, then it jumps straight to Field of Dreamers. Hovering over icons, it says Not all the pre-reqs were met, so I presume something needs doing before one can do this guide?
*duh* not minus, upto….ah.. okay.. so like the LVL|-109| means up to.. 😉
No, there is no rank -1No the minus is just a flag to indicate an upper limit instead of a lower limit.
That’s a 50 dkp MINUSBlanck was wondering why it say MINUS one as a rank on that line, though. There is no rank “minus one”, is there? 😉
Re:Rank -1It means the line only shows if you have the guide set to Rank 1

RecorderIt is wierd to get used to. I always have scroll mode on so I can go back up and see what I was doing. (Then I forget to move my focus highlight back and steps get recorded in the wrong place… /sigh)In this release Ludovicus made some improvements to recorder. Im crossing my fingers that he fixed the move up bug in the process. If he didnt, DONT use the move up feature. Its ok if you put extra steps in (i.e. forget to turn off recorder) just remember to delete them from the final version after you copy it out to the text editor of choice. Its a lot easier to delete the extra stuff, than recreate the not recorded stuff !!
W/QI under stand… I TRIED to start a guide for Suramar.. but I kept forgetting to either turn on the recorder, or stop it when doing / not doing quests in that area…. and for some reason, the box always stays empty for Me so I couldn’t figure oiut what step I was working on…
RE: world questMakes sense, I hadnt gotten that far in my thinking 🙂
RE: Number of stepsI usually keep it at 4, (altho right now I think I have it at 8) makes for a manageable window size. Even on guides I wrote, sometimes I want to do things in a differant order than written. (like if the named is currently dead or look.. a shiney…)
sorry.. no I was thinkingsorry.. no I was thinking something along the lines that ‘*Possible World Quest* in the note… or just leave as is, and when we eventually get to making the 110 guide we have parts of the coord and objectives done in the other guides, so as not to have to ‘retype’ it all
Guide Box..No I have it set to auto expand as needed. … mutters.. just seen the ‘number of steps slide bar…
RE:World QuestI admit to totally lack of knowledge of the 110 game. On beta I had 3 characters to 109… On live my pally (Emmaleah) is currently 109. So… Im getting there, but at the moment I don’t know anything other than what I have read about world quests. Are they random on differant days, diff ones available (like in WoD) or are they one time quests but without the scaling of rewards– like we see in the lvl 98-109 part of Legion?More to the point, does you comment mean something in the guide needs changed? I know most World Quests (at least the go Kill whoever) have differant QIDs than the non world quest, scaling – silver elite version
RE: quest flow / treasure huntOK, Im convinced 🙂
RE: not sure why but…1) I need to think about this one… not sure what you are asking? What comes to mind is because of the |S|tag it may be there isn’t room on your guide window (size) to show more than one Sticky item.2)may be the same issue as both have to do with quests that come from dropped items. I will try it with the |O|tag (which i think suppresses that step to not show until you have the item. Since with this expansion you dont have to do anything to accept those kind of quests, they just automatically pop up, putting them in the guide is more of a formality, much like bonus objectives — you may recall forgetting to click on the item until you are totally out of the area /sigh — no that never happened to me —3)Yes, you are absolutely right. I came in and added the treasures/rares (that werent right in the area questing) after doing the quests/writing the guides, and clearly the line about clicking on the totem should be AFTER killing the chiefton.I am guessing from your description of only one line showing you play with the Guide Box only showing one step at a time? What happens with sticky items, do you check off the sticky step manually or do you leave them in the shaded area at the top of the window? (I personally prefer to leave them, but if there are too many/too long of explanations sometimes I have to check them off to make room for more steps.)

Treasure isssueI think that means you dont have the latest version. Changing them to R steps means you have to manually check them off and if you are ok with that… it works. If I were you I would make sure you are on 7.03N (or 7.03O if its realeased before you come check). The change to using $ for Treasure was a very recent one. Working fine at the momentNow im 100% a noob to this and was a first time getting this guide added so i’d thought id let you know, probably an error on my behalf but doesn’t effect the guide at all, when i load it i get “$” error on a good few lines, not a clue what it means or how it effects the guide but its working great for me, working my way through it :), even though i never knew what a lua file was before this it only took me 10 mins to get it added then 5 mins to add it to the guide list because im a noob :), thanks for the effort though :).Zero <3
