2 shadowcloths/week starting level 50!
4 shadowcloths/week starting level 60!

You’ll have all the cloth you need for your epic set upon touching level 70

Shadow’s Embrace (Additional mats required: Primal Water – 38, Netherweb Spider Silk – 8 )

You’ll be ready to buy the crafting of other pieces you need:

Spellstrike Infusion (Add. mats: 10 Primal Might)
or Battlecast Garb (Add. mats: 16 Primal Might) depending on your tastes

Girdle of Ruination (Add. mats: 16 Primal Fire) rare world drop epic pattern (thank u Wand3rbr3ad) so depends on server…

Depending on how fast you level your character you will have a variable quantity of cloths to sell at AH.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

You’ll need every week:

92 netherweave cloth (6 Bolts of Imbued Netherweave)
12 Arcane dust
2 x Primal Mana
4 x Primal Fire
2 x Primal Life
2 x Primal Water
2 x Primal Shadow

after level 60 you will tailor twice the shadowcloth at the same price.

You don’t need mooncloths at all but I strongly suggest you to craft all you can for selling/trading.

LOCATIONS:

Shadowcloth crafting needs to be at Altar of Shadows in Shadowmoon 58,70

Spellcloth crafting needs to be in Netherstorm and spawns a 70 elemental

Primal Mooncloth needs to stand by any Moonwell, I suggest the one in Darnassus or Shalandis Isle until you get 60+.

ALLIANCE – Hama, the Master Tailoring Trainer teaches in Honor hold 54,63

HORDE – Dalinna, the Master Tailoring Trainer teaches in Thrallmar 56,37

Nasmara Moonsong, the Mooncloth Specialist, sells the Primal mooncloth pattern
Gidge Spellweaver, the Spellfire Specialist, sells the Spellcloth pattern

GETTING STARTED:

Upon hitting the 50s get a summon to Shattrath.

1 ) Make Shattrath your home! This is crucial to our goal and nice anyway.
You have now hearthstone access to all major cities of your faction, this is awesome.
You can go in every capital from any istance in the game too, when your stone is cooling down.

2 ) Take flighpath at 46,40

3 ) Go 65,67 buy all the recipes for Shadowcloth, Spellcloth, Primal Mooncloth (DO NOT BUY THEM IN AH!)

ALLIANCE – Get summoned to Honor Hold

1 ) Take flighpath at 54,63

2 ) Meet your trainer at 54,63 and become a Master Tailor

HORDE – Get summoned to Thrallmar

1 ) Take flighpath at 56,36

2 ) Meet your trainer at 56,37 and become a Master Tailor

3 ) Fly back to Shattrath

Now get summoned to area 52

1 ) Take flighpath at 34,64

2 ) Fly back to Shattrath fast
You are a sweet tender 50 prey here in Netherstorm

ALLIANCE – Get summoned to:

1 ) Allerian Stronghold – Take flighpath at

2 ) Wildhammer Stronghold – Take flighpath at

HORDE – Get summoned to:

1 ) Stonebreaker hold – Take flighpath at 49,43

2 ) Shadowmoon village – Take flighpath at 30,29

3 ) Get the last summon to Sanctum of the Stars – Take flighpath at 56,58
You need to be neutral or better reputation with Scryers to open/use this flightpath!
All characters should start as neutral with both Aldors and Scryers except for Blood elves (starting friendly) and Draenei (starting unfriendly)
If you’re not able to use this go scryer at lvl 60 – Khadgar in Shattrath 54,42 gives you the quest ‘City of light’

4 ) Fly back to Shattrath fast
You are a sweet tender 50 prey here in Shadowmoon too XD

Powerlevel your tailoring to 350 (Guide below) flying to Honor hold when needed.

Learn all 3 cloth patterns.

Now you are ready. Go back to Azeroth and go on with your levelling.

GUIDE CORE – THE CRAFTING:

1 ) Hearth to Shattrath

2 ) Fly to Area 52

3a) Stick to flight master and craft your spellcloth. Until you are not able to fight the elemental spawn, just fly back fast.

3b) Go near the ogre guards and craft your spellcloth. Until you are not able to fight the elemental spawn, hit the elemental and leave the ogres take care of him.
This is a little bit dangerous but you should be able to loot the drop (needed motes :P). If something goes wrong just take your body and fly back to Shattrath

5 ) whisper a friend for an appointment at Sanctum of the Stars or Wildhammer Stronghold if you are Draenei T_T (this is harder)

6 ) Fly to Sanctum of the Stars

7 ) Let your friend escort you to Altar of Shadows 58,70 (Yes! This is the only help you need)

8 ) Craft your Shadowcloth

9 ) Fly back to Shattrath

ALLIANCE
10) Take portal to Darnassus
11) Enter Temple of the Moon

HORDE
10) Take portal to Undercity
11) Take portal to Ghostlands, moonwell is at Shalandis Isle 13,25

12) Craft your Primal Mooncloth

Repeat every 4 days.

TAILORING POWERLEVEL GUIDE:

the original source is very common on the web (by Highlander on EU-Terenas and Lobotomy on EU-Frostmane) with some personal add.

300 – 310 Bolts of Netherweave (6 x Netherweave Cloth) ALOT OF! You will need hundreds of theese so level and stock up!

310 – 311 Netherweave belt (3 x Bolt of Netherweave, 1 x Rune Thread) Save for low sixties set!

311 – 320 Bolts of Netherweave (6 x Netherweave Cloth) ALOT OF! You will need hundreds of theese so level and stock up!

320 -321 Netherweave Gloves (4 x Bolt of Netherweave, 2x Knothide Leather, 1 x Rune Thread) Save for low sixties set!

321 – 325 Netherweave Bracers (3 x Bolt of Netherweave, Rune Thread) Save one for low sixties set! Disenchant the rest

325 – 326 Netherweave Pants (6 x Bolt of Netherweave, 1 x Rune Thread) Save for low sixties set!

326 – 340 Bolts of Imbued Netherweave (3 x Bolts of Netherweave, 2 x Arcane Dust each) ALOT OF! You will need more than an hundred of theese so level and stock up!

340 – 341 Netherweave Robe (8 x Bolt of Netherweave, 2 x Rune Thread) Save for low sixties set!

341 – 345 Netherweave Boots (6 x Bolts of Netherweave, 2 x Knothide Leather, 1 x Rune Thread each) x 10

345 – 346 Netherweave Tunic (8 x Bolt of Netherweave, 2 x Rune Thread) Save for low sixties set!

346 – 350 Netherweave Boots (6 x Bolts of Netherweave, 2 x Knothide Leather, 1 x Rune Thread each) x 10 Save one for low sixties set!

The cheapest way to have Arcane Dust is to disenchant Netherweave Bracers
2-3 Arcane dust o Lesser Planar Essence every 18 nethercloths
You can sell Essences very fast if u don’t need them and have back the cloth price.

small correction“Girdle of Ruination (Add. mats: 16 Primal Fire) BT recipe so depends on server…”

Good guide but just wanted to point out that this pattern is a world drop epic pattern so it’s sometimes even harder to find than BT drops. However, if you can find someone to make it, it’s still probably the best belt outside of BT/patch2.4

Sure, but here we areSure, but here we are talking about 50 lvl characters, so I suggest to use the most reachable moonwell in Azeroth when possible. Feel free to choose the one u find comfortable of course.

Thanks for your comment, enjoy your playing

My experience.I’m 66 at the moment and just wanted to boost my tailoring.
I reached 300skill, learned nether. I had like 220 of it so started making bolts from it and reached 319. At 315 it becomes green so the lvling to 325 with making bolts is nearly impossible. The items that can be made till 320 skill is useless. Didn’t even try to sell tham in AH, maybe for disenchanting. (tailored items are usually useless until 350). I’ll continnue boosting soon, but it costs a lot. You have to look AH occasionally and buy up cheap rugged leather or other items you need if available and not just when you actually need it.

    nice one^^

    never thought tonice one^^

never thought to powerlevel a profession before reaching the lvl cap, but it’s worth the try, especially if aiming to change main with a warlock, frost mage or a shadow priest.

The only downside I see, is that you always need someone to escort you to craft shadowcloth and spellcloth but.. as we talk about powerleveling that’s not an issue 😉

Thanks a lot for the guideThanks a lot for the guide Ombrosa! We were lacking Tradeskill/Tailoring guides the most and this is definitely a great start. Unfortunately I can’t try the guide myself but I’m sure comments will be posted soon (takes a few days normally).
