If you have a character in that level range and a little spare time, please test the above mentioned guide and tell us the following things:
- Race of the character you leveled with
- Did you follow any guide to get to level 21? If yes, which.
- How much exp did you have in level 21 when you started.
- Was the guide off when it said you “should” ding? If yes, at which levels and by how much experience points was it off (approximately).
- Any other suggestions you might have.
(Just make a quick reply to this post, you don’t even need to answer all points if you don’t have the info)
This would really help us to see if the guide has any flaws and if we still need to make any adjustments for it to become as accurate as possible.
Thanks!

Feels great to help improveFeels great to help improve such an outstanding work, if even a little :).
The coordinates for the path into the mountains are (38,67), and I saw you forgot to remove the mention to bind in Orgrimmar from the next part, so it’s pretty funny when you say to “Heartstone to Orgrimmar. And make the inn your home…”
Great suggestion, going toGreat suggestion, going to add that.

As it were I had a lvl 19As it were I had a lvl 19 orc warrior lying around, so I had him test this guide for you. I was level 21 sharp when started on the guide, not having used any guides to reach 21. I had about 70% of level 21 rested when I started.
The general feel of this guide is that I’m always abit ahead of it, which is a GOOD thing:-) No grinding, no instancing, just the way leveling should be. However since I was close to level 33 when I ended the guide (with little rested along the way) I might suggest maybe making it a 21-33 guide, or we’ll just have to admit that WoW currently have too much leveling content:-) Which is quite something considering how it used to be 20-40.
Anyways, if you can’t adapt this guide to the later ones and make it something like 21-33, I suggest finding some of the less effective content/quests and remove them.
FeedbackI’ve been following this guide with an Orc Hunter. I started it just after dinging 21, and I didn’t follow any guide to get there, just quested in the Barrens up to that level.
But for the first couple of levels, I’ve been almost one level ahead of the guide in respect to dinging, and now I’m 30 with 15 bubbles of exp and I’ve barely started the level 29 section. I play in short sessions, doing about one circuit each, but I’ve never had more than a bubble or two of rested exp.
Maybe I was just unlucky with the Hillsbrad drops, I swear I must have slaughtered one hundred bears and lions to get the drops for those quests. Also, since I play a hunter I thought it would be fitting to track down and kill the three named beasts in the Southern Barrens that drop quest-starting items (Lakota’mani, Owatanka, and Washte Pawne).
Overall, maybe it’s a bit too much content for this level range, but the guide is great and even if I’m ahead in level it’s nice to follow and know what to do and when.
If I may give a small suggestion, for the Stonetalon Mountains circuit at level 27, you tell us to bind in Sun Rock Retreat before starting it and then heartstoning back there from the Charred Vale. If instead you just tell us to go back there through the back entrance in the northeast of the Vale, we get straight to one of the NPCs where you need to turn in a quest and we can heartstone back to Orgrimmar and avoid the lengthy flight back.
Great guideI used this guide from lvl 21 to lvl 31, I was a Undead Warlock, I started with 4 bars in lvl 21, due to an Instance run, I always dinged a bit before the guide told me to, i experienced that some of the content may be left out and you still would have no problems dinging from 21-31. In my opinion its a bit much content for just dinging 21-31.
As said above i started with 4 bars in lvl 21 but at the end of the guide i was lvl 32 with 5 bars in lvl 32.
Maybe some of the Hillsbrad content may be left out? Its a horrible place atleast on PvP servers and its really not effecient to lvl there, atleast skip going there in lvl 22, in my opinion there are other places that suit better at that level, and i myself also experienced a hard time in Hillsbrad at lvl 22, im not saying it can’t be done cause it can and i did it, im just saying that lets say Durnholde Keep is hard for certain classes at that lvl.
Also i want to tell you that ive been using this and the old 21-31 guide on 4 characters and i almost always have the hardest time in Durnholde keep at lvl 22, this is due to a very very fast respawn time in there, and it also very crowded, so on my next alt i might skip that place.
Anyway great guide!
This is just my opinions if i forgot something i may go and edit later.
Have a good new year!
Great guideYes i did this guide, i enjoyed it too. I did it with an Orc warlock. instead of doing the second and third round through Tarren Mill (because of ridiculous ganking) i had my friend run me through each section of SM. other than that there were very few flaws in the sections i used the guide, except a few spelling errors, but who cares about that :P.
My friend who was a Blood elf hunter followed this guide all the way through, and i know that he level extremely fast, 7 and 8 levels in a few hours, using this same guide. he told me he enjoyed it also and he did get to level 21 using it
