Uaseful!Hey Jame, I think this is useful info. I knew someone had asked but I had to hunt through the comments to find it, maybe you should put this up with the main post? That way peeps know at least the best order to do the zones in 🙂

Thanks for a masterpiece of guidesHi,
I googled your guides 2 weeks before the start of wotlk. I have to say they are outstanding and more than useful. Due to our new born son, I had to level both (my own char and my wife’s char) and it worked out brilliant. I invited my wife’s char (paladin) into my group (me I’m a rogue) and we leveled (I opened wow in the window mode 2 times and played on one computer overlayed) togehter. Some quests have only be done by one group member and it counts for both. I think your guide optimses everything.

We are both lvl 76 now (despite teh fact that we played in a group always!), and I finished the the dragonblight guide yesterday. So I’m hardly looking forward getting the grizzly hills today 😉 !

I’m spreading your www. address to everyone who wants to know how to do this or that – it’s even the guild message of the day – everayday 😉 .

    Thanks a lot!!!
    Mathias

Thx james, and a suggestionFor the coming guides, is it possible to add a quest flow chart at the beginning?
    – It could serve as a sneak peek/preview of guides for us who _really_ can’t wait while u’re doing the details. :p
    – It’d be easier for us to check quest chains, because sometimes you’ll want to rush thru a chain first to catch a grp quest LFM
    – It is a good place to check progress, especially with all the phasing in the later zones. (I’m looking at u, icecrown)

Anyway ,thanks james! I was looking for questhelper alternative since I want to level my alt to 80 more effectively, then I come upon this guide, looks awesome!

I just worry what happen after I finish dragonblight – will I be addicted to the guide? Will grizzly hills guide comes in time? And there’s ZD and icecrown afterwards – damn!

Damn these guidesI played wow for about 6 month before i heard about your guides and i managed to level just fine in that time, sure not as fast but a level at a time. Now i’m totally lost without your guides, currently in Grizzly hills and i think i’ll get the explore achivement before i actually finish a quest just by running around trying to find questgivers.
Have you considered publishing the guides in subchapters, more minor releases? That way the pain and suffering of your followers might be somewhat releaved. Just a question from a desperate minion.

Oh and thank you Jame, thank you thank you

Wonderful JobHi James, you did a great job in producing such a wonderful guide that make gamers like us a whole lot more easy to level up.No more time wasting and no more nightmare as to where to obtain and complete quest in the shortest possible time.
Although out in the market there is a mods call quest helper. But one need to hunt for the quest giver first before qh can be put into action.Which means we’re questing blindly without proper follow-up and getting appropriate quest.Which in turn might result in unnecessary waste of time trying to complete a undesirable quest.Really hope we can catch up with your next release from 75-80 .James do hope you don’t leave us alone. Please continue with your guide. How can we survive without
    your guidiance ?
I face this problem when I level my char from 76-80.Without your guide I had to quest blindly, wondering and pondering around trying to get my char to 80.Looking forward for your next release.

    THANK YOU ! James….

Yeah sometimes the guideYeah sometimes the guide says “Now go to here (x,y)” and it can be frustrating finding where that is exactly. With Carbonite you can guess where Jame Meant for us to go because it’s the place with at least 4 colours 😀

Extremely impressive guide!Extremely impressive guide! I just did as you told from 60-70 and ding 72 when finished. I love it very much. Still I have quests in Netherstorm, as well as unexplored Shadowmoon. Shall I keep going in the outland or fly to the northrend abandoning the old quests? Thanks for your advice.

    HeyHey Jame,

Just wanted to stop by and say a big Thank You for all the leveling guides and for all the hard work you did. Heaven knows those guides helped me get to 80 as fast as I did. I finished up the Dragonblight guide at about halfway to 77 and then just roughed it through with Carbonite for the remaining levels.

While I was no where near the time others got to 80 (a guild in my server was already halfway through 25-man Naxxramas when I hit 80) but I am already doing dungeons and heroics with my Tanking Warrior and my guildies.

Once again, a big thank you and hope you get the guides up soon for my DK 😀

    AnxiousJame –

Just finished up with your Dragonblight guide and while I don’t normally try pull times as fast as yours, I still love using your guide because it gets me 100% of the zone in the most efficient way possible.

I think I speak for a lot of people in saying that we’re salivating to read the upcoming Grizzly Hills guide. Hopefully you will be posting it VERY soon, or at least putting up what you have so far. If not, throw us a bone and give us a *rough* ETA.

Thanks Jame – Keep up the amazing and marvelous work you do for the community. We really do appreciate it.

Indeed, questhelper doesn’tIndeed, questhelper doesn’t tell you where the questgivers are or what quests to get. It’s really best to use both – Jame’s guide for the order, tips, etc, and questhelper for really easily finding the quest objective you are looking for. I just don’t understand why people think they are mutually exclusive, they work great together 🙂

  • img
    Nov 24, 2008 @ 16:55 pm

Trust me, it won’t ever beTrust me, it won’t ever be superior in leveling speed than with my guides, even if you were flying on a space shuttle directly to quest objectives.

And in any case, I’ll be releasing an in-game addon version of my guides shortly after I’m done with the paper versions.

enjoyed guidesI enjoyed the guides and think they’re well put together. However, switched over to questhelper and cartographer for the higher level 70s. I think at 77+ when you get cold weather flying which makes this addon combo superior since you can fly everywhere fast and directly.

Another fantastic job :jawdrop: Another fantastic job Jame! I have leveled 4 toons to 70 with ease following your guide as a reference. Almost 80, can’t wait to look over the new guides and see what I missed.

follow what Jame says in his guides and you’ll have a blast leveling. Don’t be afraid to speak out in general/looking for group to get those pesky Group quests done.

    Amazing!Hi Jame,

I just wanted to stop by and say that your guides are pretty awesome! They really helped me level to almost 76 in such short time. Working 40 hours a week means I’m not really able to play that much, but your guide made sure that my time spent leveling is spent in the most efficient way possible.

I’m really looking forward to the 75-80 guides!

Great JobYour guide is really amazing. Clear, exact, easy to follow. It helped me getting through from 70~76 and now I am out of guide probably have to follow QuestHelper, but I think your guide is so much better in terms of sequencing that this UI is no match to yours.

Thank you and keep up the good work, it must have taken you a lot of time to produce it. Good Job =)

Just Want to say Thanks From Europe !Hello James,

I just created an account to thank you for these absolute amazing guide you have done. I just dinged 80 yesterday morning and your guides helped me to go 70-76. These are just great and it allowed me to have the “quests” achievments in all the 3 areas.

I had a lot more difficulies past these levels and areas without your guides. Waiting so much for them to use them for my alts and as well to be able to see where I missed quest in Sholazar Basin. I never been able to have the achievment there. I probably missed something.

Anyway. Thanks for your great work !!!

In the meantimeI highly recommend doing the bottom portion of Zul’drak for the end of 76 and then the upper portion after you can fly. Amazingly straight forward quest lines that provided me with about 360k/hr (and I’m easily distracted to boot)

I’ve got my entire guild using your guides now that I’ve passed most of them with my DK.

Question and Thanks. First of all, I want to say thanks for all the great work that you do putting these guides together. I first discovered your guides about a month and a half ago and used them to level my warlock up really quickly. I already had a 70 warrior that I leveled with no guides and I wish I had found your guides when I first leveled him since it would have been much quicker.

I have been following your Northrend guides with my warrior and have managed to get him from 70 to 100k experience short of level 76. I have done all the quests listed in your guides solo, with the exception of a few of the harder elite quests in Dragonblight, which I grouped up for. I’ve leveled the whole way as prot spec, so if that’s not a testament to how good your guides are, then I don’t know what is.

Since your Grizzly Hills guide is not out yet and I want to get to 80 soon, I am going to have to try to level up on my own. I’m going to use Quest Helper, but I’ve already noticed that it’s not as efficient as your guides are.

Once I get to 80, I’m going to stop questing and will wait until your guides catch up to where I am. What I would like to know is what the release order is going to be for your remaining guides (what order of zones should I go to after Grizzly Hills)? Thanks for all your great work and I look forward to your upcoming guides.

Hello Kostada , let meHello Kostada :), let me suggest you to run some dungeons while you wait for the guides! If you are already level 75 then you can join groups for several instances, the drops-rewards are nice and the xp from quest is good. You will have fun and maybe you’ll end ahead of the guides, which is GOOD.

You should also take some time for leveling a crafting profession, if you have one, or just PvP a bit if you don’t care about the /played time. Oh, another thing, you can always roll a Death knight and start leveling him in the outlands!

    Bye ^^

Please release the last few guides as a groupHi Jame,

I am begging you to release the Grizzly Hills guides sooner, or at least release the Horde at the same time as Alliance. Reason being, is that I am in Australia and planning on speed levelling to 80. And with the dates that you are going to be releasing the last guide for Horde, I won’t get that until Saturday morning, and given your projected XP rate, I will be at level 75 on Friday night and would have to wait until Saturday morning to continue levelling. I know I’m just one person, but I would love to be able to just keep on levelling without having to break.

    Cheers,
    Musu
