I think that if you add something like “For the best leveling way, visit [link]james guide’s[/link]”. Then it’s okay, I guess. I would love to see some grinding spots for a protection paladin 😉 Gonna roll one with RaF this summer 😛

Of course grinding is neverOf course grinding is never going to compete with questing. Or much less likely will a grinding guide compete with Jame’s Leveling Guides, but I think that for those that want to grind, the alternative of guides should be alot better than it is today. If people are negative about an improved grinding guide, then I’ll not write it. I’m just saying the possibility.

I dunno, some people may useI dunno, some people may use Jame’s guides for one character, then roll a mage or prot pally and want to grind. I saw someone complaining of the outdated-ness of the grinding guides here just the other day. I agree it won’t be the most popular guide on here, but I don’t think it’s completely useless.

Err, bad example, I know. But why would we want grinding guide’s, to level? I assume over 90% of the people came here because of Jame his guides, including myself.

I agree, I play as a holyI agree, I play as a holy pally in raids, and they have changed a lot from the ‘Bind all keys to Flash of Light and roll face over keyboard’ style of playing. The main problem with the guide is that everyone has a different style, and all of them are viable.

I’ve seen that there areI’ve seen that there are alot of grinding guides here on wow-pro, but all of them are incomplete and lack details. So I thought that I might aswell take the best parts from all guides, and make a complete 1-70 grinding guide. Grinding 70-80 is just madness.

I know grinding is ALOT slower than questing, but some people prefer grinding instead of questing, and why not just make that grinding easier by giving some tips and good farming locations?

Some comments and thoughts about this would be nice.

A quest guide forA quest guide for Netherstorm would be welcome. You might want to start where Jame’s guide leaves off. Things to consider: efficiency and achievements. Most people at this point who are going to Netherstorm are doing it for the achievement, so make sure you have us do enough quests to earn it. Try to imitate Jame’s guide as much as you can, since his guides are extremely high quality.

Also be aware that he may write this section as well someday, and if that happens you guide might get replaced!

If you still want to write it, I’ll put you on the list, just leave a reply to this 🙂

A guide written in the way your above post is written will not be ranked highly and will most likely eventually be purged from this site. So it will really be a waste of time to write. As I’m going to revampAs I’m going to revamp Boston’s 20-30 Alliance Leveling Guide, I’ve changed my mind about the layout, and I’ve decided to go with Boston’s original layout, and keep most of the original text. I’ll just improve the already existing guide by editing parts that are out of date due to path changes. I will also try to remove errors of all kind as much as I can.

This is somewhat different than what I intended to do in the first place, but I think that my current plans will make the guide better than if I had done what I intended to at first.

EDIT: Ah, btw, could someone please put me up at “Reivising” on Boston’s 20-30 Guide, as I have no idea on how to do that 😛

Anyways, I wasn't thinking so much a separate guide for the addon as working those class quests into the existing guides. This isn't too hard, it's just a pain to look up exactly what quests are available at what level. Which is why, once you have the "paper" guide done, it will be so much easier! 🙂

I like to think of myself as a perfectionist, I will not consider something finished unless I am a billion percent happy with it myself, so don’t worry about the quality 🙂 As for the schedule, I don’t have much time to actually get ingame atm due to my ISP being completely half-witted, so I have alot of free time on my hands and the guide I’m working on can be easily done without physically logging into the game, all bar maybe 1 or 2 sections in some at least. I’d just like to return something to the community that has helped me out so much, and I have knowledge on these subjects and so think that’s the best way for me to do that 🙂

I do have some lua coding experience, but if I get stuck with it I’ll obviously give someone a shout for help lol I think I’ll release it to the site first though, then get to work on the addon version of it.
