Tips
If you don’t want to try our WoW Leveling Addon, here’s how to enjoy the paper version of the guides as much as possible, even if you don’t have a 2nd monitor, you can either:
1. Print the guides. There is a “Printer Friendly Version” link at the bottom of every guide, you just have to click on it. However, that might be expansive (and probably expensive), because the guides are big, very big. Another downside is that my guides are updated very frequently, so if you print it you’ll miss the latest updates.
2. Playing WOW in Windowed Mode feels very comfortable while following along with this guide.
- Keep the guide opened in an internet window
- Log in to World of Warcraft, press Escape and go to Video Options, tick the following boxes:
Click on “Apply”.
Your screen will look exactly as if you were playing wow in full screen mode, besides you will be able to ALT-TAB to the guide INSTANTLY.
This is how I play wow while following my guide, when I don’t feel like booting up my 2nd computer 🙂
Thank you, Jame of awesomeness!Dinged my first 70 today (Undead Rogue)! I found the guide to be incredibly helpful, and very well thought out. I took a little extra leisure time to bg and run a few instances, but managed to utilize the guide from 21-70. I used the quest tracker addon and it helped expediate the search for certain quest items/mobs, it complemented the guide perfectly. I just wanted to say thanks and keep up the good work!
I’ll think about it, sadlyI’ll think about it, sadly for now I’ve to focus on revamping the alliance guide and do extra level 70 quest circuits for gold making :p
I can’t really say. I’veI can’t really say. I’ve leveled a priest (shadow) and followed my guide and died very rarely. Are you properly specced and geared?
Thanks a lot!Thanks a lot!
Guide with instances.Heya Jame 🙂
First off, great guide. Started my Tauren Druid on the 21-31 one (29 atm)and he’s powering through the levels faster than I could have ever imagined tbh 🙂
One thing though, it could be an improvement actually? I’ve also ran a few instances with a few guildies whilst following the guide, and have found myself to be well, near enough dead on track woth the guide – I’ve only had to skip one section so far (the run of Stonetalon at level 27). I haven’t been killing everything I have run into so that’s also another area I’m losing out on the exp and so the instance is keeping me ‘topped up’.
Anyway, I thought maybe perhaps you’d be interested in either accomadating more group play and socialising in-game into your existing guide or adapting it into a second version for those of us who love to instance and such. The gear looted on the runs only makes the leveling go that much faster 😛
Either way I’d be glad to offer any feedback regarding this as I believe it would benefit more people – getting to use the awesome guide without sacrificing other social aspects of the game means smiles all round imo 🙂
New PriestI have religiously followed your guide to 70 with my partner and we loved it! (Both hunters) Now I am trying to lvl a priest with it and I keep running into spots where something just seems too hard. I die almost constantly and I’m wondering if it’s just my ability to play the character, or if this is a common concern of others?
Best Guide on the NetI am now using this guide for my third playthrough. Both previous times I leveled faster, more efficiently and easily by using the guide. Now I am on my third go and am beating both of my previous /played records. This guide makes it simple and hassle-free to level up. I have used guides that cost money such as Joana’s, but if you look at what those are really based around, they are not for a typical, any class run through the game. This guide, however, is a blueprint for quick and efficient leveling. I can’t thank you enough Jame for making this guide. It has been a great help to myself and thousands of others.
Thank youThank you 🙂
The GuideI’ve been using this guide since 21 and I really want to thank you, it has been so easy. Since I dont have to worry about looking up quests, figuring out what to do next or anything like that. Thank you, and i’ll look forward to seeing you in northrend.
ThanksJames,
As a veteran player (3+years) i want to tell you how invaluable this guide has become to me when leveling alts ( alliance and horde)
It provides a nice overview of where to quest at what levels while i dont follow it to the letter ( im usually ahead of the leveling curve)it gives me a good direction when i notice my quest log beginning to empty.
3 days played and just hit level 49! ( hunter :P)
Thanks for all your work.
Why would you not want toWhy would you not want to talk to the mob inside to finish it? Once you talk to him you get 8150 xp from EACH totem quest. If you don’t go talk to him you’re just throwing away 16300 xp.
Thank you for taking theThank you for taking the time to write these guides. Without them I wouldn’t have been able to keep interest in WoW as a casual player as it takes too long to get a 70 without knowing anything about the areas. I’ve gone from 23-65 entirely with your guides, can’t wait for Chapter VI.
No, don’t drop it.Having a quest marked as “Complete” in your log does not mean you are done with it. You still need to turn it in, you just can’t turn that one in until you hit Neutral. Turning the quest in will give you 700 more Timbermaw rep and 8150 xp. Why would you not want to turn that in?
Deadwood Ritual Totem QuestIf a Deadwood Ritual Totem drops while doing the quests in Felwood and Winterspring. I’d recommend you take the quest that goes with it, because by the time you’re done with the L57 part of the guide you’ll be neutral with the Timbermaw and the quest will be complete. Just delete the quest after you complete it, No need to talk with the mob inside the path from Felwood to Winterspring to ‘finish’ it either.
EDIT: I thought I posted this in the L51-60 section. Can this be moved there?
Very niceNo problems there. I still have about 8 pages of the 60-65 guide to go and I have a new alt to start working on. I should be plenty occupied until mid-March 😉
Somewhere mid-march, sorrySomewhere mid-march, sorry guys can’t make it faster, quite busy atm. 🙁
For the Horde?Hey Jame, any ETA on the 65-70 guide for Horde? I’ve been using the 60-65 with great results so far; I’ll be pushing 67 when I’m done with Terokkar thanks to running a few instances and always having rested bonus. I can’t wait for the final installment. I should have not only SMV and Netherstorm to do at 70, but a good bit of Blade’s Edge I imagine.
Hey,What time are your 65-70 horde guide coming out? 🙂
Great WorkGreat work on the guides mate!
Really great stuff=) I’ve now used both of your guides, due to certain events meaning that my alliance character was hacked 😛
I’m sure you put alot of time and effort into it and I would just like to say a big thanks to Everyone who wrote these guides, they’re all awesome!

I think Jame planned onI think Jame planned on making a Netherstorm/SMV farming guide once he’s done but that might take a while.

Thank you JameThank you Jame for all the hard work you’ve put in to these guides! This will be my 3rd 70, but thanks to your guide this one has been leveled much faster than the first two. I have followed your guide since level 21, and I am really looking forward to your 65-70 horde guide. Thanks again!
First let me say thanks forFirst let me say thanks for the guide… you have made leveling alts that much easier to deal with.
Do you have any(incoming) or can suggest any Nagrand/Blades Edge/Netherstorm/SMV guide?
Thanks! Thanks to you Jame for a great leveling guide. It has kept me from the boredom of grinding and has given me a renewed interest in the game. Just getting ready to hit the Outlands and will be using your 60-65 guide.
Thanks again!
You are jesus.You are jesus.
Great StuffI just decided to roll Horde after leveling 3 alliance to 70 (2 of them followed your guide) and decided to use your guide for *edit* Horde. I wanna say great work Snowflake, you have a great style when writing the revisions I enjoyed them a lot. However as soon as i entered realm of 60-65 I could tell I was back with Jame again. You guys both are both very good at what you do, and the whole experience was like I had done all this horde business before!! (which i have not)
One thing I would like to say, I understand why outlands take along time, because so far reading thru level 60-65 the quests are kinda like how I ran them without the guide… but the order you put them in just makes so much more sense.
One thing about the revisions… It’s a shame in some ways we dont get to run the instances as a manditory step because the instance guides you write were amazing too.
I babble… Thanks for the hard work and see you in Northrend 😀
SweetHey, thanks a bunch for this guide. You get pretty much everything Brian and every other con artist claim to have. And best of all…You have an actual Horde guide!
~Unaki
Thanks for your feedback,Thanks for your feedback, I’ve never heard reports on my guide with groups of 3+, so it’s welcome 🙂 Really happy to hear it works well.
Great guide for a group of 3!Jame,
I would like to thank you so much for taking the time to write this guide. My two dormmates and I rerolled a Warrior, Rogue, and Paladin. We picked the guide up at level 21 after going through Ghostlands with no troubles.
I just followed the guide word for word and had my group follow.
We have not yet fallen behind, in fact we are usually half-way into the next level when you say we should ding.
Wish you included some of the really good EXP group quests, but this is meant for solo play anyways.
Just wanted to let everyone who is wondering about this guide or even if you, Jame, needed some hard data.
Group of Warrior, Rogue, and Paladin(Ret) are pounding out levels with ease, and haven’t fallen behind. This guide supports quest groups too, not just solo play.
Thanks again!

Ohhh you should see my badOhhh you should see my bad English …. and im an American…
Thank you, it’s alwaysThank you, it’s always reassuring when people say that they have no problems following the guide, because I sometimes wonder if my english is understandable 😛
Thank youThank you 🙂
As I mostly play on restedAs I mostly play on rested mode,
I am now level 53.
I did level 52 in 2 hours 16 minutes and couple of seconds.
Totally I think I have played with the guilde for about 5 days or so.
can’t tell exactly, but an average for 2-3 hours is what I have per level.
Great guides!Just had to drop by to say thank you.
I’ve leveled 2 chars side by side with these guides, another being at 60 now (still getting AV marks for the mount) and the other I got to lvl 67, tho your guide says ‘ding 65’.
Most likely because I followed the (old) guide in Azeroth until I was lvl 61½. You have very good and easy to understand content in your guides all along the way.
Now waiting for lvl 65-70 content, and as I’ve leveled chars to 70 before without guides, I clearly understand how much effortless it is with a guide like this. Playing in windowed mode on widescreen monitor, switching every then and that to see what’s next on the list. Ah! Simple life. So thank you for your effort to make our leveling experience easier. ^^

Jame’s Leveling GuideI recently opened a new account and decided to level up yet another hunter on the horde side. I can usually level myself rather quickly and have never had issues in the past, but I was pointed at this guide and decided to give it a shot. Long story short, I went from level 22 to level 29 over the past few days with very little time spent actually levelling. I would say that I spent 50% of the time doing auction house scanning, in transit or crafting. This guide is VERY effective. I even found myself doing quest chains I avoided because of either difficulty or annoyance of the PVP around me.
Nice work. I’ll more than likely use this guide throughout.
Thank youThank you 🙂
Check which areas areCheck which areas are covered in the levels 22-25. If there’s any place you haven’t been yet, start from there. If not, start from level 25.
Sadly I’ve been so busySadly I’ve been so busy lately I didn’t get time to do speed runs to try it.
It should be somewhere in between 6-8 days /played.
hmmwhats the estimated time of play while leveling with this guide; (1 to 70)
i meant jame’s should did this several times while writing guide, whats his record :p
btw great guide, most detailed ever…
thanks
You are AwesomeJame.. You are the best guide maker ever!!!
I am now a 56 orc shaman (first horde) and followed all your guide even ally 30-60.
They all work well and i want to say THANKS SO MUCH <3<3<3<3<3 😉
You worked so hard on it.. thanks for it!

This looks really Awesome! But….=(I have a lvl 25 War right now, i’ve been following another guide and i’ve been playing for like 5 days……
Because of how slow im leveling and how frustrated im constantly getting, i’ve decided to search for a new guide, and this is what i’ve just ran into.
Since im level 25 and im at Stonetalon mountains, where and how should i start on this guide?
10 year old?
Isn’t that10 year old?
Isn’t that against the game rules?
😛
Avian,
Try and convince himAvian,
Try and convince him that instances are mostly for easy blues at the end. Not many quests in low level give blue items as rewards.
Cheers
I am following the guideI am following the guide from level 25~. Since it’s an alt, I usually play at rested mode. I am on an average of 1 – 1.5 levels ahead of the guide.
Until now (level 51) I think I only had 1 grey quest.
I don’t think that been ahead of the guide is bad, and defintly since I want to hit outlands on the highest level possible (read your 60-65 comments already) I think I’ll just continue and RESTED PLAY this char.
Thanks,
Holysheet, Level 70, Executus, EU, Horde (ofc)
What a great guide. I’m nowWhat a great guide. I’m now level 33 using the guides. One quick tip, I didn’t start using the guide until I was a full level higher than recommended. I’ve levelled up all the way through dinging a level above each time and has made things a little easier, not that it’s all that difficult anyway.
Give it a try if you’re struggling, the guide still matches for XP even if you are a level higher 🙂
Just a thanks.I just felt that I HAD to thank you for all this work you’ve done for everyone. I played WoW for about 6 months once and managed to get a character to lvl 40. Then I left for a year and then went back, I took the old lvl 40 char to lvl 41, and rolled probably about 14 different alts!!! I kept getting bored, confused, and frustrated with the whole process. Since discovering your guides, it’s all different. I’ve rolled a new character and am already a lvl 46! In less than 1 month! I even feel assured enough now to bring a friend of mine into the game who is well, a bit older than the usual players^^ He’s from the before computer games era^^ And yet with your guide he’s only ever thrown up his hands in frustration once, and that was when I pushed him into an instance, lol. So, long story short, thanks soooo much. I was at the point of leaving the game for good, and I was sad about it. But now, it’s really just awesome! Thanks!
From what he told me itFrom what he told me it could very well be released mid/end February if all goes well.

65-70 HordeHey Jame! I’ve been using your guide from 21-51, and then from 60-65. Now I’m currently grinding honor and marks for the future S1 while waiting for your guide (I don’t mean to put any pressure on you by this).
Since the release of 60-65 was ahead of schedule I was wondering if you’re releasing 65-70 any time soon, or is it still in march? I was thinking maybe in late or mid february, where are you currently in the guide? I heard from snowflake that you can copy a big chunk from the alliance version!
Thanks for the amazing guides and props to Snowflake for the awesome remakes!
Landow
Indeed I’ll add this, thankIndeed 🙂 I’ll add this, thank you
Excited to use this to rush to 70I just found this guide and I’m pretty psyched about using it. I’m lvl 25(priest) so I’ll just pick up around there in the guide. So I was looking around there in the guide and I noticed the quest for helping Torek that I did yesterday.

7. Go further west on the other side of the road you should find a path to Silverwing Outpost (66,73). Kill all the nightelves on the path and inside the house, as soon as this is done, sprint back to Torek and start his quest. The way being clear, he’ll directly run to the house. When inside 4 elves will spawn – let the orcs tank them and focus on one, Torrek must survive so kill as fast as you can, and use all the abilities / consumables you have.
Note: If you are a healer this should be easy, you can heal the NPCs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My first instinct was to heal Torek since he needed to live. I’ve lvled a 70 priest before so I know that some npc’s can be buffed/healed and some can’t. I hit Torek with Power Word: Fortitude and Renew to see and it worked. Renew didn’t work on his guards though. Just a minor correction to the guide but every bit helps, right?
GREAT GUIDE 😀
on 65 shaman still going strong
THANKYOU!
