Now also available as an in-game leveling addon. Please check out the following page to try the WoW-Pro Leveling Addon!

If you need guides for any other level range (or race) please check out this page.

Tips

If you don’t want to try our WoW Leveling Addon, here’s how to enjoy the paper version of the guides as much as possible, even if you don’t have a 2nd monitor, you can either:

1. Print the guides. There is a “Printer Friendly Version” link at the bottom of every guide, you just have to click on it. However, that might be expansive (and probably expensive), because the guides are big, very big. Another downside is that my guides are updated very frequently, so if you print it you’ll miss the latest updates.

2. Playing WOW in Windowed Mode feels very comfortable while following along with this guide.

  • Keep the guide opened in an internet window
  • Log in to World of Warcraft, press Escape and go to Video Options, tick the following boxes:

Click on “Apply”.

Your screen will look exactly as if you were playing wow in full screen mode, besides you will be able to ALT-TAB to the guide INSTANTLY.

This is how I play wow while following my guide, when I don’t feel like booting up my 2nd computer 🙂

People complained aboutPeople complained about being behind in levels months back, now people are complaining about being ahead in levels.

Are you expecting that everybody is going to kill the EXACT same amount of monsters to achieve their quest objectives? Are you expecting that people are going to have the same amount of rested XP throughout their entire leveling career? Some people might kill more monsters on the way to their required destination than others. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Just be happy that you’re ahead and cut Jame some slack. He worked hard on these guides and it’s silly that people are complaining that they’re ahead of the guide.

Excellent work on all of your guides, Jame.

OutlandAm I just missing something? When I go to “1-70 Alliance & Horde Leveling Guides!” Submitted by Snowflake, It says that this leveling guide goes up to 70. but i don’t see anything after 60. Also I remember a comment (posted by Jame) that lead me to believe that an outland guide existed. I am really looking forward to it, but can’t find it 🙁

Hmm are you 100% sure aboutHmm are you 100% sure about this? I don’t recall having to do this and I never had any problem with the items dropping. All I had to do was turn in the Ashenvale hunt, get the follow up and turn in the next Ashenvale hunt again.

Being ahead of my guide inBeing ahead of my guide in levels is a GOOD thing. If you end up level 70 before the end of my guide, keep following it anyway, because you will get a lot of easy gold from questing that way.

You need to…This guide misses a very important part to those three quests… for you to be able to recieve that loot from those animals, you need to speak to the person in front of the inn. That person has three convorsation options. You need to ask about those three creatures, and get their descriptions, and then you can loot from them.

The FREE guides…I wanted to leave a comment to the people who apparently don’t know how good they have it. These guides are FREE. I have read far too many comments complaining about mistakes Jame has made or things they don’t like about the guides. Ignore the mistakes. So what. Everyone makes them. As for what you don’t like, don’t do it or do it a different way. You don’t need to leave a comment talking about how you hate it. Keep it to yourself.

Jame and everyone at Wow-pro is doing us a huge favor. I for one am VERY greatful for the work that has been put into these guides. If it were not for them, I would still be in my 40s wondering what to do next. These guides gave me direction. Something, I felt, the game didn’t have a lot of pre-Outlands. I now have a 70 and several others making there way up there. So thank you Jame and Wow-pro for everything you’ve done. I truly appreciate it. Even though there are some who do not. Keep up the excellent work.

Outleveling the guideWhen it comes to me outlvling the guide, at lvl 52 I was still on the lvl 48 quests so I just decided I’d skip up to the Azshara part. I didn’t really feel like hitting burning steppes for some reason and I was getting sick of Feralas lol. But, yeah this guide has been amazing 3 days 18hrs at lvl 53 seems good to me. Good guide Jame.

Oh sorry, i thought iOh sorry, i thought i included the names.
Ursangous killed 3 times, and Shadumbra x2.
I didnt try more then that because i felt it was a waste of time.. but found it odd that it didnt drop. I though the first named mob was bugged, but when i tried Shadumbra twice, i figured it was changed on blizzards side since both didnt drop.

named mobs?In your guide 21-31. there are a few named mobs you ask to find and kill and loot something to start the quest. I find them, kill them, but they dont drop the loot u mentioned. I waited and tried killing the named mob 3 times and they never dropped the item for the quest. is this because of the new patch?

Well…I agree that the faster levels are very nice, but I would not consider it dumbing down the guide to address the issue of out-leveling. There are several quests in the guide that have you killing gray monsters when you are 3 levels ahead of the guide. You would think you could skip that quest, but what if it is part of a chain? It throws off the whole flow.

Obviously this is not a deal breaker on an amazing guide, but it is worth looking at IMO.

hi jamesif for some reason you go back and correct all the lvls because of the new 2.3 patch. please please please leave the old guide up and a link to it. I enjoy the old guide myself. now I can pick and choose which quest I want to do. thanks for all the hard work bro.

Jintha’alor as wellIt’s worth getting all the Jintha’Alor quests (Vile Priestess Hexx, Captain of the Guard etc) since all the mobs in the troll capital are now non-elite as well, and those quests have good rewards for the 50s. There’s a couple parts that might be a little tough to solo, but in any kind of group it should be a breeze.

I’m currently 4 levels aheadI’m currently 4 levels ahead of the guide since I was already two levels ahead before the patch. I’m now 58 and doing the 54 portion. So, instead I’m skipping all of the guide until plaguelands then heading to outlands I think. Great guide though, Jame. I’ve used it on my character since I made him.

Sage Words on OutlevelingThanks Jame for addressing the outleveling issue. Your guide was the fastest way to level prior to the patch, now it is even faster and more versatile. Simply amazing!

“What are other people doing about this?”? They are cranking through the levels with big smiles on their faces!

Keep up the good work Jame, you make the game playable.

P.S. Please don’t dumb down the revisions for the people who get confused if they are 2 levels higher than the guide.

Outleveling the guide is aOutleveling the guide is a good thing. It means you won’t have to grind, you can abandon some quests if you don’t like them etc.

Most importantly, it means that when you hit level 70, you will still have a LOT of quests to do and will be able to finance your epic flying mount with ease.

Outleveling the GuideWith the changes in 2.3, I’m WAY out leveling the guide. I just dinged 60 at the start of the level 57 chapter. What is everyone else doing about this? Skipping some quests?

2.3 came out when I was in my late 40s, so I imagine the problem is worse if you start the guide at 50.

Never the less, this guide has been absolutely great and I’d like to give a huge thanks to Jame for providing it to everyone!

Is there an In-game version? Is there an in-game version of this guide? Searching around I found Azuarc’s ingame leveling guide, which was a very nice addon that had a leveling guide that was organized in chapters and seachable pages, which is all used ingame. The only problem is that its an alliance guide >< and alliance is for chumps.

Does anyone know of an ingame horde leveling addon? Or has anyone imported this guide into NotesUNeed and is willing to share it?

60-65I’m guessing he will put out a horde 60-65 once he is done with the alliance 65-70 guide. More people tend to play alliance so I’m guessing that’s why they get their outlands guide first.

Great guide Jame. Love using it. The only problem I have is when friends want to quest with me. They don’t understand that I don’t want to group up with them. I like to follow the guide step by step and if I’m questing with friends it all goes out of order.

Like the others I’ll be looking forward to the outlands version. I doubt it will be done in time for my horde though, I’m leveling really really fast!

“Outdated” GuidesPlease keep up Jame’s old leveling guides once you’ve gone through and revamped them with the new quests! I’m not sure about anyone else, but I’ve found that since there’s less experience to level with and more quest exp per level, instead of coasting you literally fly due to the amount of experience the pre-2.13 guides packed into them.

SteelsnapIn the guide part 31-40 theres a mistake.
“we’re now gonna look for a named hyena named Steelsnap. I generally find her at (13,28). She’s a level 30 hyena with two hyena guarding her.”
Its nothing, but Steelsnap is a Male, as far as i know.

Now when thats told, im happy again.

Dizzy’s eyeFor the quest keep an eye out, i don’t think dizzy’s eye drops where you said it does. i cleared the whole coast area, and got tired of waiting for it drop, so i checked thottbot. someone said that every character they’ve had, the eye has droped from the group around “pretty boy”, who is west right as you exit booty bay. i went there and, lo and behold, it was there! just thought id at this for anyone else who is having trouble with the eye

But then the horde guide came along and made me level super fast.
Only when i was 30 you weren’t finished with then 31-60 and so slow as a snail i got 70 with my first horde 🙂
Now i made another char which actually got past 20 and its using your 31-40 guide now but only a day or 2 back i was 21!
Now i have to get back leveling 😀

I got to 60 on my Priest with this guide in a short amount of time. I truly appreciate the work you put into this guide, because it definately helped a ton. If you ever come out with a guide for 61-70, I’d love to have a stab at it. 🙂

Again, thanks, this guide will surely help many others out there.

    Thanks!Hey there,

Just wanted to say thanks for writing such a great and complete guide. I’ve powerleveled a few Ally characters, but never played Horde past level 20 before. So when my brother asked me to level a Horde Priest for his guild, I knew I was going to need a guide if I was going to get to the Outlands as fast as we both wanted me to.

This guide was perfect! I’m now level 61 and enjoying BC from a different point of view, and I know guide writers like yourself don’t necessarily get the recognition they deserve. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t one of those people. 🙂

    Thanks again, mate.
