Tips
If you don’t want to try our WoW Leveling Addon, here’s how to enjoy the paper guides as much as possible, even if you don’t have a 2nd monitor, you can either:
1. Print the guides. There is a “Printer Friendly Version” link at the bottom of every guide, you just have to click on it. However, that might be expansive (and probably expensive), because the guides are big, very big. Another downside is that my guides are updated very frequently, so if you print it you’ll miss the latest updates.
2. Playing WOW in Windowed Mode feels very comfortable while following along with this guide.
- Keep the guide opened in an internet window
- Log in to World of Warcraft, press Escape and go to Video Options, tick the following boxes:
Click on “Apply“.
Your screen will look exactly as if you were playing wow in full screen mode, besides you will be able to ALT-TAB to the guide INSTANTLY.
This is how I play wow while following my guide, when I don’t feel like booting up my 2nd computer 🙂

I have just turned 76 all thanks to you, I am currently working through the quests in Dragonblight and was wondering when an up date and follow on guild might be published? As I can see myself aimlessly wandering the Frozen wastes grinding my way to 80 which will not be a pretty site 🙂

Just jump in the guide atJust jump in the guide at the beginning of a circuit close to your current level, and ignore the quests you can’t get. It might be a little slower at the start, but after a while, you’ll be back on track, and those quests won’t matter anymore.

My levelling on PvP server strategy…Simply, I don’t do it. It is just too frustrating dealing with the ganking. If I’m leveling a character, I’ll level him on a PvE server and then transfer the toon to the desired PvP server once I’ve reached the target level. For my twinks, I don’t do the transfer until I’ve geared them as well.
Of course, the cost of the transfer is not really important to me, and not dealing with the frustration of gankers is worth every cent (to me).

I’ve never really felt theI’ve never really felt the need to post something. Everyone who has commented before me has pretty much said it to a point where it goes without saying. Your guides are awesome and the fact you release them for free has surely made you popular with a large portion of the wow community. I know i recommend your guides to anyone who asks. Although i haven’t done it sometimes I just feel like having a macro steadily spamming the general channel with the URL for your guides. Seriously the amount of people who spam general with “OMG where is ‘insert quest mob\'” is rediculous. But anyway i felt like i needed to sign up and thankyou personally for all the hard work you’ve put in. I hit server first dwarf and missed server first paladin by an hour 90% because the other paladin didn’t sleep in days :P…but i was able to hit server first dwarf solely because of this guide so to reiterate. Thankyou for your guide and I can’t wait for the rest of it to come out. I felt lost without it after 76!

There is no Quest named “I have an Airplane”But maybe you was talking about “I’ve got an Flying Machine”.
And Yes, It has been confirmed that the quest is not Working as intended. According to Some WoWhead users its when you look around with your mouse it bugs out, It works if you use your Arrowkeys to steer and Spacebar to fly upwards and X to fly downwards.
Some of the bags are bugged, too. But there is one bag that you can get. It’s along the wall on the south side of the site. You should be able to pick it up.

Also, when you finish this quest, it will be come a daily quest, that you can repeat every day.

This quest is a reference to an old game by blizzard, Warcraft 2. It was so that when you finished building a Gnomish Flying Machine, You’d here a gnome shouting “I’ve got a Flying Machine”. If you played Warcraft 2 you’d remember it 🙂

As advertisedI’ve been using this leveling guide for my current character, and am very pleased with the results. If anything, I’m finding that I level well before completing a circuit given for the level even if I am following the guide to the letter. I’d say this is a strong selling point for the guide.

Quest?I couldn’t find I have an airplane, but if you mean “I’ve got a Flying Machine!” (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=11390) – that’s bugged. Maybe blizz will fix it at the maintence, but for now, that quest is bugged 🙁 (Confirmed by GM i asked)

Awesome guide. I did find anAwesome guide. I did find an issue with Howling Fjord, at Steal Gate.
Quest: I have an airplane.
This quest now places you pvp flagged. Horde also now camp this quest. You also, at least currently on Zangarmarsh, cannot loot the baggies. I’ve had multiple friends test it and none of the bags work.

Quarry QuestsIn the coldrock quarry section of the guide, you say that the elder has all of the quests. I didn’t go to NR in the beta, but it might have changed because reclaiming the quarry, and hampering their escape are both given from Etaruk at 54,36. Thought I’d point it out 🙂

Oh, I was reading comments from other users as well – great to see all the compliments, you deserve ’em! I was a little amused by some of the requests some had for changes to your guides. It appears most of them would not benefit the “other 97%” of users so may not be worth your time. I think the guides are “just right” for their intended audience.
Looking forward to trying out the new 70+ guides in Northrend! They do seem more…brief. Lots of “get quest, turn in quest”. Did you find the quests more straightforward in Northrend so you didn’t need as much detail in the guide? Just curious. As far as I’m concerned, the less verbose, the better! 😛

This Guide Rocksive used this guide since lvl 30 and it has been very helpfull I recommend it to all my friends. Totally rules.
50-60In the comment section of the 50-60 guide I wrote the pre quests to the starting quests in that chapter because i was bored and Blizzard is stupid for doing a 12 hour maintence on a national U.S. holiday.

Alliance PVP serverI’m writing this comment in consideration of others who haven’t read the guides before.
When you start off as an alliance at lvl 30, you should be prepared to get ganked alot until, lets say lvl 34-35. If you play on a pvp server where the opposite faction actually is alot higher, try start the guide of at lvl 34-35 and start after the Stranglethorn Vale circuit. If you don’t you will probably end up doing some runs in Scarlet Monastery anyway. If you play on a well balanced pvp server or a pvp server where you’re faction is overpowering the other, don’t mind this comment. This goes for all none pvp servers aswell.
Sorry if you get offended by this comment Jame, but it’s nothing against the guide itself, just a little help from a player who dealt with this himself.

First, let me congratulate you on yet another incredible guide. I have 2 lvl 70’s and I used your guide in both cases and I recommended your guide to my guide as a reference to level other toons they may have. It is amazingly well organized and entertaining. I think your objective of creating a guide that is easy to use and doesn’t miss lore / areas / content and is soloable was nailed.
Ok that was the gushing praise part…now the problem. I am leveling very quickly – perhaps too quickly. I am currently lvl 41 but i have only made it too the level 36-37 area of the guide. Can I ask for one favor?
Can you create a list of the quests you should have as you start a new chapter? In my case, it would be those that you should have as you enter chapter 2 (40-50). I think I need to skip all the remaining quests from 37 – 40 and start at Chapter 2.
Given the efficiency of your guide, this might be a good thing to add to all new chapters. Not to say your guide isn’t perfect. 🙂

After you dinged 47 you tell warlocks to go ti IF by go auberdine-menthil-IF. In the new patch you can actually take the boat from auberdine straight to stormwind harbour! And i think that benefits most if not all classes that cannot train in darnassus.

Hey jame, love your guides.Hey jame, love your guides. I have a little tip though they may/ may not help. I started using your guide at level 40 for my palladin, so obviously I had to get the chain quests from the beginning, which I am not complaining about, but it took forever to find. Maybe you could, at the beginning of your guides, list what quests are chained and where to start them, it would save some people a lot of time. Again, love your guides.

What kind of cap are weWhat kind of cap are we talking about? Does your internet provider has a cap on how much bandwidth you can use every month?
If yes, the answer is: it depends. Some addons add a lot of data transfer (DPS meters for example). On the other hand, cartographer and fubar don’t add much, it’s insignificant.
Im not sure I understandIm not sure I understand that you don’t understand =) uhm… like when you play wile you have addons up,does it take extra cap? :p for instance,say you use 100mb in 1day’s playtime of wow,and this time i used addons,and it takes like 120mb a day, is it like this?

About the /played needed from 70-80, I’d say in between 4 and 5 days from 70 to 80. Without rested XP bonus that is. It’s hard to say for now though, I’m not there yet 😛

They don’t have plans toThey don’t have plans to reduce the XP curves for level 30-60. But they are reducing the XP curve from 60-70, with today’s patch.

Level 70-80?Will there be a guide for 70-80 someday? i followed the alliance guide from 30-70 on 6 chars now, and found them wonderfull fast and easy, was just wondering if there will be a new fast leveling guide from Jame’s =)

Grinding is faster thanGrinding is faster than questing IF you’re totally clueless about questing. If you follow my guide, I guarantee you you’ll level faster than with grinding, but I also guarantee you that you’ll get a lot more gold, rep, items and more importantly, you won’t be bored out of your mind!
It’s quite simple, my guide makes you do quests in such an optimized order that you don’t have to run around much, and in the end you’re almost always killing stuff as if you were grinding, besides you’re also completing a bunch of quests while doing it!
No need to buy leveling guides, my guide is better than those other guides you have to pay for, it has been tested and proved many many times by hundreds of players over the past 3 years 😛
