1-70 Alliance & Horde Leveling Guides!
Submitted by Snowflake on Thu, 2007-01-18 16:19.
This is a collection of leveling guides from our WoW-Pro community. As Jame's popular guides only start at level 20/30, other members have submitted guides to help players get to the stage where they can use Jame's guides. Enjoy, and please don't forget to leave feedback.

Draenei starting guide & more
Submitted by Snowflake on Mon, 2008-02-11 16:49.
After 2 weeks of RL stress I'm finally back to work and I got around to making maps for the Draenei starting guide. After putting last finishing touches on it you can view it here. Please don't forget to leave feedback etc. The guide is still in beta as I haven't gone through it with a second character yet. Especially leveling estimations might need some adjustment still.

Revamp of Jame's Leveling Guides: Release dates
Submitted by Snowflake on Thu, 2007-11-22 16:50.
As mentioned in this news post, all of Jame's Leveling Guides will be revamped, to adapt to the changes that were introduced with patch v2.3.
Since many have been asking, I'm going to list approximate release dates as I'm in charge of testing the guides and adapting them. I'm currently running through the horde guides with a Blood Elf character and making leveling guides for blood elves at the same time, because they were lacking.

Jame's Guides to be Revamped
Submitted by Snowflake on Mon, 2007-11-05 18:37.
As soon as patch 2.3.0 goes live, the WoW-Pro team will level through both Jame's Alliance Leveling Guide and Jame's Horde Leveling Guide to adapt them to the new changes that have been made. Everything will be updated from scratch.
- "The amount of experience needed to gain a level has been decreased between levels 20 and 60. In addition, the amount of experience granted by quests has been increased between levels 30 and 60."

How to work with "Projects"
Submitted by Snowflake on Sat, 2007-06-30 20:00.
A little guide I typed explaining how to use our project system at the example of the "best item out of raid and how to get it" project.
- Click on Projects (in the navigation menu) and choose the project you want to contribute to.
- For now the project we are talking about has only been started, and no contributions have been made yet. This means that before starting to write anything, we need to make a clear list of features we want the guide to have. Imagine it like a program that needs to be written and several programmers are willing to help but need guidelines that tell them what to do.
- So click on "Request New Feature".

Poll Results on Guides: Let's Get to Work!
Submitted by Snowflake on Wed, 2007-06-27 14:59.
I hope that over the past week, everyone got around to cast their vote about guides we want to see next on WoW-Pro. This are the results:
- Best items outside of raid and how to get them (25%)
- Tips for epic flying mount farming (20%)
- Money farming in TBC (18%)
- How to farm the different TBC factions (+rewards) (14%)
- Guides to PVP battlegrounds/arena by class (10%)
- Tradeskill Guides (6%)
- Dungeon Strategy Guides (TBC) (4%)
- Guide on Druit Epic Flight Form (3%)
What to do now
Personally I've already started the guide project about best items and how to get them. You can now contribute in 3 ways:
- Either you take one of the subjects above and submit a guide project. People will be able to submit parts of the guide with you and correct errors in collaboration with you. Click here to start a guide project.
- You contribute to existing guide projects. To view all current guide projects, click on projects in the navigation menu to the right. You can request features, submit error reports, work on solutions and write portions of the guides.
- Make donations to the ones writing the guides through Paypal. The publishers of the projects will have their email addresses attached to the project (if they don't appear openly, contact us and we'll put you in relation). You'll be able to send direct donations to the people who work on portions of the guide, submit releases or fix bugs.
(Note though that WoW-Pro doesn't take any responsibility for donations made this way and does not promise anything, we just offer you a place to host your guide)
If you need help for your guide project or if you'd like to ask questions, please post on our forums.

Projects: Easier Participation
Submitted by Snowflake on Mon, 2007-06-25 11:13.
We've noticed lately that our old guide project system didn't work quite well. Also guides themselves are often submitted and then abandoned. (no updates, not finished, etc.)
But we are proud to announce that we have implemented a new guide project system that allows everyone to easily participate in improving, writing and maintaining guides.
What to do
Guides where people wish collaboration and active feedback, should from now on be submitted as guide projects.
An example for such a guide project can be found here: click.

Ideas for new guides?
Submitted by Snowflake on Sun, 2007-06-10 02:57.
Jame has started working on leveling guides. Meanwhile several people have asked me for ideas they could write guides about.
So if you know a particular topic you'd very much like a guide about (beside leveling) please post in a comment to this thread.
We'll use this post to collect ideas from everyone and in a few days we'll hold a vote to determine which guides are the most wanted at the moment. The projects will then be devided amongst guide writers (people can work together if they want). Anyone can grab any of the projects and start working on them immediately.
A few ideas I had in mind:
- How to get your Netherdrake mount
- Best items outside of raid and how to get them
- How to farm the different TBC factions and what are the rewards you can get
Please post ahead
The more suggestions we get the better.
