In your opinion, what is the best "hybrid" class? (Classes that have more than just a DPS role)

IMO Hunter because:
1.We have one of the highest DPS in the game.
2.Our pets are really good tanks and keep aggro.
3.Things like Spirit Bond, Mend Pet, Heart of the Pheonix and Lick your Wounds heal the pet loads.

In my Opininon the Mage is the best hybrid class.

1. We are great dps
2. As fire It's no problem stealing aggro from a tank aka imba tanks
3. Melee dps... Well we can use a big sword.
4. Healing... I'll show you my bandage skill

I'm the first one to comment and say shammy ^^. Even if shamans can't tank they got herosim/bloodlust in any specc. Awsome group healing (with chain heal). As dps they do very high dps both as melee and ranged (think elemental is bit better).
In Pvp all speccs are good... unlike paladins where prot tree is useless in pvp Sticking out tongue lille of my opinion ofc the other classes are good too ^^

Well I have never played a druid above level 30. God only knows I wish I had stuck with it.
Anyway I have to ask about this

Tank - Well, they got nerfed but still superior offtanks, and maintanks. Also got the 5% melee crit buff.

So how big was this nerf? Can they still main tank or is that only for op super geared players?

Druids MT no prob

The nerf was a big hit but not nearly asmuch as every one thinks aslong as u know u needa gem for agi/dodge/stam aswell as chant for the same. For the longest time my guild used a Druid MT and it worked really well we still use him 80% of the time.

apart from the healing part, they are superior in every way.

and in the healing part they are doing very nicely as well

dps wise druids dont have a chance

and shamans arent a hybrid anymore than a priest

Druids the best hybrid (palas are good too). They can do a good job tanking, they are one of the best healer, boomkins have nice DPS and feral DPS are really good too. Im feral DPS and im always in top 3(5-8k DPS), on almost every boss (ulduar10+25) So stop saying that druids dont have a chance in DPS!

Anything other then the 'pure' classes (Rogues, Hunters, Warlocks and Mages) are considered Hybrids, 'cuz they can do more then one role. Don't come up with half polls, please.

I would have to agree. Now, I could see you saying only druids and paladins, since they are the true hybrids, but if you put Shamans up there, you probably ought to put priests, DKs, and warriors. Though I guess shamans are a bit more hybrid-like due to their possibility of both ranged and melee DPS.

That said, Troll, it's his poll and he can do what he wants with it! They are just for fun anwyays, if you don't like it make your own Eye

I'm afraid I had to vote paladin, even though I have to admit Druids are prehaps the most versatile,

  • Healing, we are quite simply the best at single target healing.

  • As tanks we are pretty much the the best AOE tanks.

  • As DPS the burst damage that we deliver is incredible

Warriors are able to tank or to dps - would you consider them a "hybrid" class too? For me hybrid classes are only the three you mentioned.

Apart from that I totally agree that druids are the best hybrid class although I think shamans should be. Sticking out tongue
I mean, honestly, druids are the only class that is capable of filling every possible role in the game - tank, healer, caster dps, melee dps - and deliever a great job doing it. It's almost like they had 4 talent trees! Laughing out loud Isn't that a bit unfair? What do you think?

I found Druids best 'cause they can be

Casters - Balance is a powerful heavy damage spec which got a unique caster buff (5% spell crit).

Healers - They are the masters of HoT, overall a good healer class.

Melee DPS/PvP - Feral can bring both tank and high DPS. Using catform will bring you almost the same DPS as a normal Melee DPS class, and a very powerful PvP play style. Also got the melee DPS boost, a 5% crit buff.

Tank - Well, they got nerfed but still superior offtanks, and maintanks. Also got the 5% melee crit buff.
