| Jame's Horde Leveling Guide - Chapter VI (65-70)
5 Average: 5 (1 vote) Chapter 6 - [Level 65 - 70] Journey from Terokkar to Netherstorm Introduction This guide is made for FAST leveling through the use of Optimized Quest Circuits. With this guide, questing will be very efficient and you'll not waste any second running around and trying to figure out in which order to do your quests. Follow each instruction carefully and you will see for yourself. The quest choices and order to do them are optimal so that you run as few as possible while doing the most possible, turning several quests at the same time. It will be like grinding, because you'll be killing stuff almost non-stop, besides you'll also be completing a bunch of quests at the same time! Everything described in this guide can be done solo (beside when I say otherwise). You can, of course, follow this guide while duoing, grouping, it's not a problem, it works too. DISCLAIMER: This guide does NOT take into account tradeskills, class specific quests or PvP. It's 100% focused on getting the most experience possible in the shortest possible time while doing a lot of quests and enjoying as much content as possible. Any race/class combination can do this guide. Any complaints about PvP, tradeskills, or class specific issues will be ignored. Basic rules
Useful Addons To get the most out of my guide, you should get an addon which displays coordinates, because I use them to describe locations in my guide (x,y). You can use any addon you like, but here's a very simple one I use. Recommended
Optional Below is a list of other addons I use, this is 100% optional though, it's mostly for people who are curious to know which addons I use:
Side Note: In case you don't know how to install add-ons, simply download an addon from one of the links above and unzip it. Then drag the unziped folder in your Addon folder (full path is c:\\Program Files\\World of Warcraft\\Interface\\Addons). Then, restart World of Warcraft and it should be working. If it isn't working, you might need to log out to your character selection screen and click on "Addons" in the lower-left corner. Tick the box that says "Load out of date Addons". Re-launch WoW. Level 60-70 XP Curve Changes As of patch 3.0, it takes much less XP to level from 60 to 70. That means you will probably ding much faster than what my guide says. That's not a problem at all though, just keep following the guide normally. I strongly recommend achieving level 70 before going to Northrend, I've explained many times why on my blog. In a nutshell, it's much more efficient and easy to go to Northrend at level 70. You'll level faster that way and also get more gold. I actually recommend going until the very end of my Outland guide before moving to Northrend, even if that means going there at level 71 or 72. That's if you want more gold. However it's up to you, going to Northrend at level 70 is fine too, you'll just get less gold in the end. Color Code
The Guide If you followed my previous chapter, you should have the following quests:
You should be in Shattrath as well, if not, go there. Right next to Rilak stands Defender Grashna, he should have a quest now: [65] The Skettis Offensive. Certain classes probably can't solo it, but you can give it a try. There are 4 waves: 2 birds, 2 birds, 3 birds, 1 big bird. The normal birds hit reasonably hard but have very few HPs. Make sure you eat/drink or bandage in between waves. Save your potion and cooldown abilities for the big bird. He hits for 1000 on cloth but he can be kited, polymorphed, hibernated, stunned, feared, etc. If you can’t manage it, ask for help, there’s a lot of people in Shattrath doing nothing but standing there and looking pretty
1. In Nagrand follow the road northwest and then west until you find a goblin on the left side of the road called Wazat (62,67). Get his quest [66] I Must Have Them! Start to kill Windrocs, Clefthoofs, Talbuk Stags and Dust Howlers in the area. Stay relatively close to the Nesingwary Safari and keep checking if a gnome NPC named Kristen Dipswitch shows up. When she comes, she will get attacked by an undead NPC, defend her and she will have a quest for you: [65] I'm Saved!, turn it in immediately for 11000 easy XP. If Kristen still hasn't shown up when you find a Howling Wind, just go to the next step. We'll come back here soon. 3. Go west to Garadar (57,35). Get the new flight path.
Gather the following quests:
4. Go northeast to the Throne of the Elements (61,23). Turn in:
Get the other quests:
There's a big rock giant called "Gordawg" at the throne of the elements. Go talk to him and turn in [65] The Underneath, get the follow up [65] The Tortured Earth. 5. Now go back to the area around Nesingwary Safari. Here is a little map to help you find everything quickly: Kill everything there, including Tortured Earth Spirits and Dust Howlers, until you complete the following objectives:
If you still haven't seen Kristen Dipswitch at this point, just forget it. She's just a single quest with no follow up, so it doesn't matter. Go back to Nesingwary Safari, turn in the 3 quests and get the 3 follow ups. ==Note== You don't need to kill Dust Howlers on the way anymore. 6. Go south then southwest to Wazat (62,67). Turn in [66] I Must Have Them! get the follow up [66] Bring Me The Egg! Once you got help, go back to the goblin, and now you have to use the Jump-a-tron 4000 to land on that tree branch with the big egg called "Mysterious Egg". The trick is to position yourself exactly in the middle of the Jump-a-tron and have your character face the middle of the nest. Then click the Jump-a-tron 4000, change your camera view so you can see below and as soon as you're almost above the nest, click off the levitation buff. It should take a few tries to get the timing right and you might die from falling if you click it off too early, so be careful with that. If you really can't manage it, there is another way, but it requires a 100% speed mount: 7. Get back on the road, ride east and then southeast and enter Terokkar. After entering Terokkar, go south and stick to the right. You should soon see a yellow "?" on the minimap. Go there and find Kilrath (20,60). Turn in [65] The Impotent Leader, get the follow up [65] Don't Kill the Fat One. South of Kilrath is an ogre camp called Bleeding Hollow Ruins. Go there, kill 10 Boulderfist Invaders and then find Unkor the Ruthless (20,63). Beat him down until he turns friendly and you'll be able to turn in [65] Don't Kill the Fat One. Get the follow up [65] Success! Go back to Kilrath, turn in [65] Success! and get the follow up [65] Because Kilrath is a Coward. Hearthstone back to Garadar.
Turn in [65] Because Kilrath is a Coward, get the follow up [65] Message in a Battle. Also get the other quest which just became available, [65] Standards and Practices.
1. Exit Garadar by the western gate and grab the quest [66] The Consortium Needs You! on the way. 2. Just north of the consortium NPC, you should find an area with a lot of Clefthoof Bulls and Talbuk Thorngrazers. Kill them while gathering 15 Digested Caracoli for the quest [65] A Rare Bean. They are glowing piles of dung, easy to spot 3. As soon as you have finished [65] A Rare Bean, go northeast around the lake, to the Throne of the Elements. Turn in [65] A Rare Bean, get the follow up [65] Agitated Spirits of Skysong. 4. Go dive in the lake south, use a Nagrand Cherry and kill 12 Lake Spirits. 5. Go west/southwest, killing Clefthoof Bulls, Talbuk Thorngrazers and Enraged Crushers on the way (you can see their locations on the map), until you reach the ledge at (41,29).
6. Stay in the area with the number 2. on the map and kill stuff until you finish [66] Talbuk Mastery and [67] Clefthoof Mastery, and you should also be at least 9/15 done with [66] Eating Damnation. 7. Go south/southeast to The Abandoned Armory (51,57). Go inside, turn in [67] The Master's Grand Design? and get the follow up [67] Vision of the Dead. 8. Just southwest of here lay large plains with a lot of Ravenous Windrocs (49,62). First kill the 3 Enraged Crushers near the northern ledge of the plains (they are marked on the map). Then stay in this area and kill 30 Ravenous Windrocs and kill the 3 Enraged Crushers another time when they respawn. You should be done with [66] Eating Damnation and [67] Windroc Mastery.
1. Go southeast and find the bridge to cross the Telari Basin at (55,63). Cross the bridge and ride east to the Burning Blade Ruins (73,70). at this location you should find the First Burning Blade Pyre, stand close to it and use the Mag'har Battle Standard from your inventory.
2. Clear the way up the mountain, to the Second Burning Blade Pyre (75,70). Use the battle standard.
3. Go further up and east in the mountain and you should quickly find the Third Burning Blade Pyre (76,68). Use the battle standard.
Now all we have left to do is to kill ogres until we finish [65] Message in a Battle. 4. Clear the way out of the Burning Blade Ruins and ride north to Windyreed Village (72,50). Set the four huts on fire with your Living Fire, which should be in your inventory. You have to stand inside the huts and in the middle of them for it to work. 5. Ride north to Nesingwary Camp, turn in the 3 mastery quests, get the 3 follow ups. 6. Ride northwest to the Throne of the Elements, turn in:
7. Hearthstone back to Garadar (or run back). Turn in:
1. Ride west to the ogre cave at (40,32) just north of Halaa. Clear the way to the cave. Kill ogres in this area until you finish [66] An Audacious Advance and have gathered 20 Bleeding Hollow Supply Crate.
2. Go south to Halaani Basin (41,38). Kill Muck Spawns until you get 5 Muck-ridden Cores. 3. When you're done, find the exit on the northwestern side of the basin (37,38). Mount up and go west to the Mag'hari Procession (33,36). Turn in:
Also get [67] Finding the Survivors. 4. Go south through Sunspring Post, killing as many murkblood agents as possible on the way until you reach Sunspring Lake (35,43). Dive in, pop a Nagrand Cherry and complete the following 2 objectives :
5. Go back to Sunspring Post, clear the way to the biggest building (31,42) and kill Ortor of Murkblood, then loot the Head of Ortor of Murkblood. 6. Just south of the big building you should find a small destroyed house (31,44). Inside the house should be 2 Murkblood Brutes next to a Mag'har Captive. Kill the two brutes and the captive should have a quest for you. Before you accept the quest, clear everything around the house and get full health, because as soon as you accept the quest [67] The Totem of Kardash you’ll get ambushed by 2 Murkblood Raider and 1 Murkblood Putrifier. Kill the putrifier first. Make sure you don’t let the Mag'har Captive die, as he is rather weak, compared to the usual escort quest NPCs. Don’t even think about looting, you probably won’t have the time, bandage or drink right after you finish the first fight and follow the captive. Note: This quest is also one of the pre-requisites for the very cool quest chain involving Thrall. When done with the escort, go back to Sunspring Village and kill stuff until you complete [66] Vile Idolatry, [67] Murkblood Corrupters and [67] Once Were Warriors. 7. Go back to the Mag'hari Procession, turn in [67] Once Were Warriors, get the follow up [67] He Will Walk The Earth... 8. Ride to the Throne of the Elements, turn in:
9. Ride to Garadar, turn in:
This should easily make you ding level 66. If for some reason you are not 66, you should go do an instance or grind. You should also be honored with the Mag'har now, so you might want to go see the Quartermaster in Garadar and see if there's anything good for you. Fly to Shattrath, take a portal to a main city and go train your new skills, visit the AH, make space in your bags, re-stock on consumables, etc. When you're ready to go again, hearthstone back to Garadar. Level 66 ==Note== From now on, if you see a Caverns of Time: Old Hillsbrad group forming up, try to join it. This is the right level for it, it's a fun instance and it gives a lot of xp, about ~20% of a level per run. Your quest log should look like this at the moment:
1. Follow the road southeast to the Burning Blade Ruins. This time we're not here to kill ogres, but to find Lantresor of the Blade, who is located at the northernmost point of the ruins at (74,63). When you find him, listen to his tale and then turn in the quest [66] Diplomatic Measures, get the 2 follow ups:
2. Exit the ruins and go southwest to Kil'sorrow Fortress (70,76). In this fortress, complete those 4 objectives:
3. Go back to Lantresor and turn in the two quests, get the two follow ups:
4. Mount up, ride back to Garadar. Turn in [66] Wanted: Giselda the Crone.
Now that you're level 66, the quest [68] He Called Himself Altruis... should be available, pick it up. ==Note== By now you should have a lot of Oshu'gun Crystal Powder Sample. Whenever Halaa is under Horde control, you should go there and turn in each 20 Crystals you got at the Chief Researcher Amereldine. This quest is repeatable and gives an extra 8750XP everytime, so it's quite a nice source of XP.
1. Exit Garadar by the west gate and go northwest to the Laughing Skull Ruins (50,22). Kill ogres and plant Kil'sorrow Banners on their corpses. First, clear the way to the Blazing Warmaul Pyre (46,24). Use the Damp Woolen Blanket from your inventory, 2 ogres will spawn, defend them while they do their thing until you get a complete message. Now clear the way towards the northernmost cave of Laughing Skull Ruins, which can be found higher up the hills at (46,19). Inside the cave you should see Zorbo the Advisor, kill him. Kill ogres and plant banners into their corpses until you finish [66] Wanted: Zorbo the Advisor and [66] Returning the Favor. 2. Next part is probably the funniest, quickiest and most rewarding quest line of all times, but it is also difficult even for a full group of 65-67s: The Ring of Blood. You can find the quest giver for this 5-man quest line just west of the Laughing Skull Ring (43,21). You will have to complete 6 quests, each consisting in defeating a boss mob in the pit just below the quest giver. You will need a full group of level 65+s, including a decent tank and a healer. Setting up such a group can take time, so we're gonna do other things while we try to build up a group for this event. Grind on the ogres while looking for a group. You also need to finish your mastery quests now, and the last two mobs we need to kill can't be soloed by most classes, but can be duo'd by any class mix. So look for help for those last two mastery quests while also looking for a Ring of Blood group. The map below shows where Gutripper (windroc mastery) and Bach'lor (Talbuk Mastery) are. So this is the time to call for help from your guild and friends, since you've got plenty of elite quests to do, you could do them all in one bunch.
3. In the meantime, grinding on those ogres is a good thing because they give good money, cloth, Mag'har reputation and ogre warbeads (for Consortium or Mag'Har rep). Aldors: You should grind at the Kil'Sorrow Fortress for more Aldor faction. Both: If you really can't find help and are tired of grinding, go to the next paragraph and proceed with the guide, but keep looking for help for the above mentioned elite quests! We need to finish all 3 mastery quests before the end of this long circuit.
1. Head west of the Laughing Skull Ruins, to an area with Greater Windrocs and Aged Clefthoofs (36,19). Kill them all, luckily one of them will drop what we need for [67] Vision of the Dead. If not, just move on, we'll kill more of them later on. 2. Head further west to another area with Windrocs and Clefhoofs (33,22), kill them too if you still need either of their drops. Still no luck? No problem, move on. 3. Go south, stay close to the mountain on your right-hand side, kill windrocs and clefthoofs as you go (if you still need them). You should soon find a path going up to Warmaul Hills (30,32). You should find a Mountain Gronn roaming up and down that path. Kill one, they are elite but can be soloed rather easily if you use everything you got. Loot a Mountain Gronn Eyeball from it. 4. Go further up inside the hills, kill ogres and loot Warmaul Prison Keys from them. Then use those keys to free Mag'har Prisoners.
Keep killing ogres in this area until you finish [67] War on the Warmaul and [67] Finding the Survivors. ==Note== You should already have 10 Obsidian Warbeads for the quest [67] Proving Your Strength at this point. If you don't, kill ogres in this area and finish it before you leave. 5. Get off the mountain, kill Windrocs if you still need their drop. 6. Head south to the Mag'hari Procession (32,36). Turn in [67] Finding the Survivors and [67] War on the Warmaul, get the follow up [67] Cho'war the Pillager. 7. Follow the road southwest until you find Altruis the Sufferer (27,43). Turn in [68] He Called Himself Altruis..., get the follow up [68] Survey the Land. Enjoy the ride and turn in the quest at the end. Do not get the follow up, we'll do it later. However, if you already have a group willing to do the chain, feel free to do so now. 8. If you still need the drop from the Aged Clefthoof, a couple of them can be found near Forge Camp: Fear and Forge Camp: Hate. 9. Mount up, get back on the road and follow it south until you find Aeris Landing (31,58). Get the following quests:
Turn in:
If you got extra sets of 3 tusks, you can turn in more of them for Consortium reputation, until you are friendly with them.
1. Go south to the Spirit Fields (34,65). The first thing you're gonna do is look for a group to kill Banthar, a named clefthoof you need for the last clefthoof mastery quest. You can see his patrol route here:
Most classes can’t solo it, but you can always try. He’s immune to movement impairing effects and fear, but can be stunned. In the meantime, you have plenty of things to do in this area :
If after that you still haven’t found help for Banthar, do the next steps, and keep looking for help, they are still relatively close. 2. Go southeast of Oshu’gun and kill Gava’xi, who spawns at (42,72) and walks to the top of the nearby hill. 3. Go southwest until you reach the edge of the zone (38,82). You can find Shattered Rumblers all along the edge if you go northwest from here. Use your Gordawg's Boulder on them and they will split into several Minions of Gurok. Kill 30 of them. 4. Go northeast to the Abandoned Armory (52,57). Turn in [67] Vision of the Dead, get the follow up [67] Levixus the Soul Caller. We won't be doing this quest in the guide, save it for level 70. 5. Go southeast and find the bridge to cross the Telari Basin at (55,63). Cross the bridge and ride east to the Burning Blade Ruins, go to Lantresor of the Blade. Turn in [66] Body of Evidence and [66] Returning the Favor, get the follow up [66] Message to Garadar. 6. Go north to Nesingwary Safari, turn in the 3 mastery quests, get the follow up [68] The Ultimate Bloodsport. 7. Go northeast to the Throne of the Elements, turn in [67] Shattering the Veil, get the follow up [67] Gurok the Usurper. 8. Ride to Garadar, turn in:
Get the new available quest [67] Wanted: Durn the Hungerer.
The next circuit is special, because you can do the follow steps in any order, it doesn't matter. Some of them are optional.
1. Ride to Aeris Landing, turn in:
2. (Optional) Find a group for [67] The Ultimate Bloodsport. Tusker is easily duoable (and can even be soloed by some classes). He's located at the top of a hill northeast of Oshu'gun at (43,65). 3. (Optional) [67] Durn the Hungerer: that one requires at least 3 people, including a tank and a healer. 4. (Optional) [67] Gurok the Usurper: You need at least 2 people to kill this one, 3 makes it significantly easier. Once you have a group, go to Warmaul Hills (30,32). Move up the slope, ater a little while, on your right-hand side you should see a path going up and northwest. Follow it. You should soon reach a plateau, on the southern side of it is a cave entrance (27,23). To the left of the cave is a path going up, that's where the giant you need to summon and kill for [67] Gurok the Usurper is. One thing about Gurok if you do it, make sure to tell your group to fight with their backs to the mountain, because Gurok likes to knockback, and it will throw you off the mountain to a certain death. 5. (Optional) [67] Cho'war the Pillager: You need 2 or 3 people for this one. He's also found at Warmaul Hills, in the last cave on top of the mountain, to access it you have to go back to the plateau and go through the nothern cave (27,18). We're done with Nagrand, before you go, turn in all the quests above if you did them, and also try to turn in all your Oshu'gun Fragments in Halaa for extra XP.
Fly to Zabra'jin, Zangarmarsh. Go to the 2nd floor of the inn, get the quest [65] The Ogre Threat. Fly to Swamprat Post. Ride northwest to path (69,35) leading to a tunnel entrance. Get the quest [65] Killing the Crawlers from Grunt Grahk. Go through the tunnel while killing 6 Cavern Crawler. After you get out of the tunnel, mount up and ride north until Thunderlord Stronghold (52,59). Turn in [65] Killing the Crawlers and [65] The Ogre Threat. Get the following quests:
Get the new flight path.
1. Go south of Thunderlord Stronghold and kill 12 Bladewing Bloodletter. 2. Go back to Thunderlord Stronghold, turn in [66] The Encroaching Wilderness, get the follow up [66] Dust from the Drakes. 3. Go northwest of Thunderlord Stronghold, where you should find a path going down the mountain. 4. At the bottom you'll find an area called Bladespire Grounds (48,50). Kill Bladespire Ogres and Bladespire Raptors. The raptors will sometimes drop Raptor Ribs. Put 3 of those somewhere safe in your inventory to make sure you won't vendor them. They will be used in a quest later on. Keep killing ogres and raptors until one of them drops a Thunderlord Clan Artifact. Right-click it and start the quest [66] Thunderlord Clan Artifacts. 5. Go southwest deep inside Bladespire Hold, to a hut at (40,58). Inside the hut you'll find the Thunderlord Clan Drum.
6. Go directly north until (41,53). There you should see a big stone gate, go on top of it and you should find the Thunderlord Clan Arrow.
7. Go directly north until (41,47) and you should find the Thunderlord Clan Tablet inside a hut.
After that is done, keep killing Ogres and Raptors until you finish [66] The Bladespire Threat, then go back to Thunderlord Stronghold. Turn in:
Stay in front of the NPC where you turned in the last quest, Rokgah Bloodgrip and right-click the Fiery Soul Fragment from your inventory. Let yourself be guided by the wisp. After 2 minutes you'll be back to your character, turn in the quest [66] Vision Guide, get the follow up [67] The Thunderspike. This should easily make you ding level 67, if you have done the instances I recommended so far. If not, it doesn't matter for now, keep following the guide, but try to do some extra killing on the way or an instance. ==Note== Speaking of instance, you should try doing the Auchindoun: Sethekk Halls instance from now on. The two quests can be picked up in front of the instance. So if you see a group forming up, feel free to join it. Level 67 Fly to Shattrath, take a portal to a city and train your new skills, visit the AH, etc. ==Note== You need to have the cooking skill for the raptor ribs quest to be available. It doesn't matter if you have just 1 point in the skill, so just find a cooking trainer and become an apprentice cook, this will unlock the quest for you. When you're ready to go again, hearthstone back to Thunderlord Stronghold.
1. Go southwest to the bridge crossing Bloodmaul Ravine (48,65) and go to the other side. This will take you to the Living Grove (40,67). Kill every Fey Drake on your way from now on and loot Dust of the Fey Drake from them. 2. Find and kill Stronglimb Deeproot. He walks up and down the path in between Sylvanaar and the cave to the south. Loot Stronglimb Deeproot's Trunk.
After that, kill Fey Drakes until you complete the quest [66] Dust from the Drakes. 3. Go southeast and find the path at (39,74) leading down to the Bloodmaul Ravine. ==Note== Kill every ogre you find on your way from now on, until you finish [66] The Bloodmaul Ogres. 4. Go northeast and you should find T'chali the Witch Doctor at (45,72). Get his quest [66] They Stole Me Hookah and Me Brews! While doing the next steps, look for Bloodmaul Brew Kegs, until you have at least 11 of them. (Yes, at least one more than what the quest requires).
5. Clear the way south until the end of the ravine where you should find a cave. Outside of the cave you should find T'chali's Hookah (42,81).
6. Enter the cave, clear till the end of it and you should find the Thunderspike.
Get full HP/mana and then right-click it, this will spawn Gor Grimgut, kill him and loot The Thunderspike. 7. Kill ogres and gather kegs until you finish [66] The Bloodmaul Ogres and [66] They Stole Me Hookah and Me Brews!. Then go back to T'chali, turn in the quest and get the follow up [66] Bladespire Kegger. 8. Go northwest to Bladespire Hold. Get close to an ogre, but without aggroing it. Right-click the Bloodmaul Brutebane Keg from your inventory. The ogre will come for the keg and you'll get a quest update. It doesn't matter if you kill the ogre or not. Do this again 4 more times and you should finish [66] Bladespire Kegger.
9. Go back to T'chali, turn in [66] Bladespire Kegger, get the follow up [67] Grimnok and Korgaah, I Am For You! 10. Ride south to Southmaul Tower (45,80). Clear the way to the top of the tower and kill Grimnok Battleborn. 11. Ride northwest Bladespire Hold and find a house at (43,47). There is a ramp on the left side of the house taking you to the 2nd floor. Go up there and you should see Korgaah, 2 elite "sober" ogres, and one normal ogre. Pull the normal ogre first and kill it. Then use one of your Bloodmaul Brutebane Brew to lure Korgaah out solo. (This is why we gathered more than 10 of those earlier). 12. Ride back to T'chali, turn in [67] Grimnok and Korgaah, I Am For You!, get the follow up [66] A Curse Upon Both of Your Clans! 13. Ride southeast to Bloodmaul Outpost, clear the way to a building (any house will do). Get back to full HP/mana and use the Wicked Strong Fetish from your inventory in front of a building. A spirit will spawn, kill it and you'll get a quest update. Stay at the same building and do this again until you have Bloodmaul Outpost building cursed: 2/2. 14. Hearthstone back to Thunderlord Stronghold. Turn in:
You can turn in this quest right away at Rexxar and get the follow up [66] Whispers on the Wind.
1. Go south just outside of Thunderlord Stronghold, look for Thunderlord Dire Wolves and use Gor'drek's Ointment on 5 of them. 2. Now we're gonna go to Mok'nathal Village and kill Scalewing Serpents on the way until we find 3 Serpent Flesh. In Mok'nathal, turn in [66] Whispers on the Wind, get the follow up [67] Reunion. Gather all the available quests:
Get the new flight path. ==Note== From now on, kill every Silkwing Larva on sight. If the larva begins to metamorphose, let them do it, that way you have a chance to get a cocoon + an Iridescent Wing from the Silkwing which spawns out of the larva, and these are very easy to kill.
1. Go south to Veil Vekh (76,75). Kill birdmen until one drops a Vekh'nir Crystal, then go to the arcane circle in the middle of the camp and right-click the crystal from your inventory. 2. Go back to Mok'Nathal, turn in [66] The Stones of Vekh'nir. Watch the orc do his speech (about 20 seconds) and then take the follow up [66] Trial and Error. Also get the new quest from Leoroxx, [67] Understanding the Mok'Nathal. 3. Go to the southwestern corner of Vekhaar Stand (73,74). Kill birdmen on your way, try to avoid killing the ogres though. As soon as one of the birdmen drops an Infused Vekh'nir Crystal, look for Dertrok's Wand Case in your bags and open it, you'll receive 4 wands in your bags. Find an ogre and use the first wand on him, he'll become your pet for 2 minutes. 4. Go to the cave at the end of the valley (72,74). Inside the cave, go straight ahead at the first fork and you should quickly find Vekh at the end of this tunnel. Kill him. By now you should have a few Infused Vekh'nir Crystals, so use the other wands on ogres until you finish [66] Trial and Error. 5. Once you've finished [66] Trial and Error, go back towards Mok'Nathal Village while killing Silkwing Larvaes until you finish [66] Silkwing Cocoons and [65] The Softest Wings. In Mok'Nathal, turn in:
Another quest should now be available, [67] The Totems of My Enemy, get it.
6. Ride west, follow the road and turn left at the first fork, shortly after you should find Bladespire Outpost (60,55). Kill ogres while clearing a path to the northwestern corner of the outpost, there you should find Gnosh Brognat (58,55). Kill him. Now kill ogres until you have 5 Bladespire Totems. They can drop from any type of ogre here. 7. Ride back to Mok'Nathal Village. Turn in:
8. Mount up and ride west, up the mountains, this time go south to Singing Ridge (67,77). Find a spot with several Lesser Nether Drakes and then use the Spirit Calling Totems from your inventory. Now kill as many Lesser Nether Drakes as you can, while being close to your totem, you should get a buff icon if you are close enough. If you do it properly, the drakes should drop Nether Drake Spirits. You need 8 of those. 9. Find and kill Dreadwing, a named Netherdrake which can found at (65,78). She sometimes takes a walk towards the west, but always comes back to take a nap here. 10. Go back to Mok'Nathal Village. Turn in:
11. Go to Razaan's Landing (66,47). Clear the way inside the camp, put the Orb Collecting Totem on a hotkey and use it regularly to attract nearby Razzani Light Orbs, which look like pink floating light balls. I generally find a lot of them near those big "stargates". 12. Go north of Razaan's Landing and kill Fel Corrupters until one drops a Damaged Mask. Right-click it to start the quest [68] Damaged Mask. 13. Get back on the road and go to Evergrove (63,40). Turn in [64] Ruuan Weald and [68] Damaged Mask, get the follow ups. Gather all the quests in Evergrove. Get the new flight path. Fly to Thunderlord Stronghold. Turn in:
Your quest log should look like this at the moment:
1. Mount up, ride north, off the mountain and then further north/northeast to Daggermaw Canyon. There you need to find two ogres having a chat at (58,33).
Right-click Rexxar's Whistle from your inventory, make sure the target circle covers both ogres and then left-click. This should complete the quest [67] On Spirit's Wings. Hearthstone back to Thunderlord Stronghold. Turn in [67] On Spirit's Wings, get [67] Baron Sablemane. 2. Mount up, go north and off the mountain again, this time ride north until you reach the Circle of Blood, where you should find Baron Sablemane (53,41). Turn in the quest and get the follow up [67] Into the Churning Gulch. 3. Go southwest to the Churning Gulch (50,42). Kill Crust Bursters until you got 7 Crust Burster Venom Glands. Go back to Baron Sablemane, turn in and get the follow up [67] Baron Sablemane's Poison. 4. Ride back to Thunderlord Stronghold, turn in [67] Baron Sablemane's Poison, get the follow up [67] The Smallest Creatures. Also get the new available quest [67] Crush the Bloodmaul Camp. 5. Go down the ravine again and ride north/northeast until you find a marmot's den at (57,29).
Right-click the Kodohide Drum from your inventory and you will take control of a marmot. You should get a new action bar with the marmot's abilities. First use stealth. Go to the Bloodmaul Camp which is just a little northwest of the marmot's den. First find the Keg of Ripe Moonshine at (55,28).
Stand next to it and use the marmot's Poison Keg ability. A little northwest of here you should find the Green Spot Grog Keg, behind a bonfire (55,26). Poison it. Further north you should find the Fermented Seed Beer Keg (56,23). Poison it. When you're done with all 3 kegs, right-click the "Coax Marmot" buff to get back to your character. 6. Go to the same ogre camp, kill 10 Bloodmaul Mauler and 5 Bloodmaul Warlock. 7. Ride back to Thunderlord Stronghold, turn in [67] Crush the Bloodmaul Camp and [67] The Smallest Creatures, get the follow up [67] A Boaring Time for Grulloc.
8. Go back down in the ravine, this time go east until you see a big gronn called Grulloc (61,47). You should see Grulloc's Sack at his feet. Get as close as you can without aggroing Grulloc, then use Huffer's Whistle. The boar will distract Grulloc for about 30 seconds, in the meantime loot Grulloc's Sack and run away. You can destroy Huffer's Whistle now. 9. Go to Baron Sablemane, turn in the quest get the follow up [67] It's a Trap! 10. Go southwest to Bladespire Hold, clear the way to a building (any house will do). Get back to full HP/mana and use the Wicked Strong Fetish from your inventory in front of a building. A spirit will spawn, kill it and you'll get a quest update. Stay at the same building and do this again until you have Bladespire Hold building cursed: 5/5. 11. Get back on the main path and ride south to T'chali. Turn in [66] A Curse Upon Both of Your Clans!. Hearthstone back to Thunderlord Stronghold (or ride there if your stone is on cooldown). Turn in [67] It's a Trap!, get the follow up [68] Gorgrom the Dragon-Eater and the other quest [68] Slaughter at Boulder'mok.
Fly to Mok'Nathal Village, turn in [67] Gather the Orbs, get the follow up [68] Inform Leoroxx!, which can turn in immediately, get the follow up [68] There Can Be Only One Response. Fly to Evergrove.
1. First we're going to find Overseer Nuaar, an NPC who walks up and down the path west of Evergrove, and also south of Evergrove. Talk to him and go back to Evergrove, turn in the quest and get the follow up [67] ...and a Time for Action. Also get [67] Poaching from Poachers from Samia Inkling. 2. Start west of the town and go north, killing every Wyrmcult Poacher and Wyrmcult Hewer on your way. You should also find a meeting note on one of the Wyrmcult agents, right-click it to start the quest [67] Did You Get The Note?. 3. When you're done with [67] ...and a Time for Action and [67] Poaching from Poachers, go to Veil Ruan (65,31), which is just northeast of Evergrove. Kill arrakoas there until you got 6 Ruuan'ok Claws. Then go to the arcane circle in the middle of the pond, clear the mobs around it, get full HP/mana and use the claws. A Harbinger of the Raven will fly down and attack you, kill it and loot the Harbinger's Pendant. 4. Go back to Evergrove, turn in:
5. Go to Wildlord Antelarion and ask him for a new Gas Mask. Destroy the old one if you still have it, they have a one hour duration. ==Note== From now on, kill Felsworn Daggermaws, Felsworn Scalewings and Fel Corrupters on sight, until ou finish the quest [67] Culling the Wild. When you're up on the plateau, go east/southeast to Forge Camp: Anger. Clear the way to the legion communicator (73,40).
You must not be on your mount and you must not be in any shapeshifted form before you put on the Gas Mask. Put on the gas mask and a question mark should pop above the Legion Communicator. Right-click it, turn in the quest and get the follow up [68] Deceive thy Enemy.
Once you know where they are, you must activate all 5 as fast as you can. I suggest to start with the southernmost one. If you are fast enough, the 5 obelisks will activate a demon gate and Doomcryer will come through it. Kill her, she's elite but can be soloed by most classes, she can be kited, stunned, rooted, etc. Just make sure you fight her solo. 6. Go southwest to Razaan's Landing. This time go to the middle of the camp at (66,44), where you should see a stargate. Kill a lot of Razaani agents in this area and Nexus-Prince Razaan will come through the stargate eventually. There's a trick to know approximately how much more you need to kill. Behind the gate is a tube with white smoke in it. When the tube is full, that means the prince is about to come.
Kill him, and then a cube will appear above his corpse, loot it and you'll receive a Collection of Souls. 7. Go north while killing everything you still need for [67] Culling the Wild. When done with that, go further north to Skald (73,24). In skald, you must find the 3 Fertile Volcanic Soils and right-click them. The southern one is at (72,22), the central one is at (72,20), the northern one is at (72,19). Hearthstone back to Evergrove. Turn in all quests, get the follow up [68] Death's Door.
1. Follow the path west of Evergrove and cross Wyrmskull Bridge. At the other end of it you should find Watcher Moonshade (50,36). Turn in and get the follow up [67] Longtail is the Lynchpin. This should make you ding level 68, if you've been doing the instances I recommended. If you're still level 67, it's not a problem, keep following the guide, but try to kill more things on the way or do an instance. Level 68 2. Go back in the tunnel and go through it until find the exit. Then go north/northwest to Grishnath (42,23). Kill arrakoas until you receive a 2 minute buff called Understanding Ravenspeech. With that buff, you should be able to see where the prophecies are on your minimap. The prophecies look like this.
While gathering prophecies, you should find an Orb of the Grishna on one of the arrakoas. Right-click it to start the quest [68] The Truth Unorbed. 3. Go southwest and follow the road towards the cave at (32,31). Kill Wyrmcult Agents and enter the cave. Inside the cave always keep right, kill wyrmcult agents and use your Blackwhelp Net on the Wyrmcult Blackwhelps to trap them. You can also walk near the eggs on the floor to spawn more whelps. 4. Hearthstone back to Evergrove. Turn in all 4 quests, get the follow ups:
1. Go back through the tunnel, exit it and follow the road until you find Treebole (37,23), he should appear on your minimap. Turn in [68] Treebole Must Know, get the follow up [68] Exorcising the Trees. 2. Go northeast to Grishnath, gather 5 Grishnath Orbs
3. Go southwest to the area shown on the map (37,29) and look for Dire Ravens. Kill them until one drops a Dire Pinfeather. Right-click your Grishnath Orbs and it will combine it with a Dire Pinfeather to create an Exorcism Feather. Use this Exorcism Feather on a Raven's Wood Leafbeards (found in the same area) and kill the Koi-Koi Spirit which spawns. 4. Go back to Treebole, turn in [68] Exorcising the Trees. 5. Go west to Boulder'mok (31,24). Locate Gorgrom's Altar.
Clear all the ogres in a large radius around it and keep killing ogres until you got 3 Grisly Totems. 6. Go south to the wyrmcult cave. Enter the cave and keep going right, you can hug the left wall so that you don't have to fight Kolphis Darkscale. If you managed to gather another 5 costume scraps, use them and disguise yourself, this will save us much time. Go to the end of the cave and kill Maxnar the Ashmaw (34,36). Hearthstone back to Evergrove. Turn in [68] Maxnar Must Die!
Fly to Thunderlord Stronghold. Turn in:
1. (Optional) You'll need a group for the next two steps. 3 people would be nice. So start to LFG [67] Prisoner of the Bladespire + [70] Showdown. In the meantime you can go grind on ogres or on demons at Forge Camp Anger if you want Aldor reputation. If you want cash, you can go grind on the fire elementals at Skald. Anyway, once you have a group, go to area close to Gruul's Lair and kill the elite ogres there until one drops a Wyvern Cage Key. Be warned, the drop rate on the key is quite low, I'd estimate it at 10% chance to drop. So if you're unlucky, it can take a long time. Once one member of your group has the key, you must find Leokk's Cage, which is located at (66,20). It's quite high up in the air so look above.
The person who looted the key must stand under the cage and right-click Spirit's Whistle from his inventory. This will free Leokk and complete the quest [67] Prisoner of the Bladespire. 2. (Optional) Go back to Thunderlord Stronghold, turn in [67] Prisoner of the Bladespire and get the follow up [70] Showdown. You also need a group for this, so hopefully the group you had for the previous quest didn't disband. You don't even need a healer for this step, because Rexxar will tank for you. However, you still need a decent amount of dps to ensure that you do more than 50% of the damage, or Rexxar will claim the kill and you won't finish the quest. Once you have a group ready to go, go to (64,19) where you'll find the Altar of Goc, just a little west of where you found Leokk's Cage in the previous quest.
Before you start the script, tell your group the following: Rexxar will come and tank Goc for you. So to make sure that HE tanks and not one of your group member, tell everyone to stand back at the start and to do nothing for the first 10 seconds of the fight so that Rexxar can build aggro. After, just kill Goc, be careful not to overdo it and pull aggro though, or you'll most likely go "splat!". When everyone is ready, right-click Rexxar's Battle Horn. Once Goc is dead, go back to Thunderlord Stronghold, use hearthstone if it's up. Turn in [70] Showdown.
Fly to Mok'Nathal Village. Turn in [68] There Can Be Only One Response.
1. Go southwest and find the cave entrance to Death's Door at (72,70). Go through the tunnel and you should be in Death's Door. 2. In Death's Door, right-click the Druid Signal in your bags, an Evergrove Druid should fly down to you. Turn in [68] Death's Door, get the follow up [68] Harvesting the Fel Ammunition. 3. Clear the way to the southern fel cannon (65,68). Once you've located it, read the next paragraph before you take control of the cannon. To destroy the warp-gate, you have to take control of a fel cannon. When you use your Naturalized Ammunition, you will take control of the cannon and a pet bar will appear (this also means hunters, frost mages and warlocks cannot use their pets). The pet bar looks like this:
We will mostly use the ability #4 "Artillery on the warp gate". Imps will come out of the warp-gate and suicide-bomb the cannon. Each time an imp manages to explode on the cannon, it will take out about 6-7% of the cannon's total health. So you can let about 15 imps reach the cannon, which is more than enough, since you should be able to kill most of them beore they reach it anyway. Tips: Mages: Scorch / Fireblast is enough to kill imps. Easy job. When you're ready, clear around the cannon, get full HP/mana and right-click your Naturalized Ammunition. 4. Go to the northern cannon (62,60) and do the same thing. When done, call your druid and turn in [68] Fire At Will!, get the follow up [68] The Hound-Master. 5. Clear to the demon portal northeast of the canon, and when only Baelmon the Hound-Master is left, get full HP/mana, target Baelmon the Hound Master and use the Evergrove Wand. Two treants will attack him, let them tank and help them kill Baelmon, just be careful not to pull aggro from them and it will be an easy fight. Turn in [68] The Hound-Master. We're done with Blade's Edge Mountains!
1. In Netherstorm, while crossing the bridge, get the quest [68] Off To Area 52. (If the quest doesn't appear, check your quest log to see if you have [67] A Strange Vision or [67] Out of This World Produce!. If you do, abandon it and the quest should now be available) 2. Ride southeast to Area 52 (32,66). Turn in [68] Off To Area 52 and get all the quests. You should have 7 quests listed under Netherstorm in your quest log.
3. Go southeast to (35,74). You should find plenty of Shaleskin Flayers in this area, kill them till you got 5 Shaleskin Shale. Then go back to Area 52, turn in and get the follow up [68] That Little Extra Kick. 4. Go southeast to the Arklon Ruins and clear the way to (41,72) where you should see a brazier.
Clear the mobs around it and then use your Conjuring Powder, which will summon Ekkorash the Inquisitor. Kill her and loot Archmage Vargoth's Staff. Just a little further east in the ruins you should find Pentatharon (43,72). Kill him and loot Arklon Crystal Artifact. 5. Just east of where you fought Pentatharon you should find Nether Rays (45,72). There should be half a dozen of them here, kill them all, it doesn't matter if you don't complete [68] That Little Extra Kick. Don't wait on respawns.
==Note== Green is for Scryers / Orange is for Aldors 1. Scryers: Go west and find Captain Arathyn. He's on a small hill with 2 ballistas at (28,65). Kill him and loot the B'Naar Personnel Roster. Aldors: Go west to Manaforge B'naar (27,65), kill 8 Sunfury Magisters and 8 Sunfury Bloodwarders. Both: While near Manaforge B'naar, if you find an Arcane Annihilator, try to kill it and loot an Annihilator Servo from it. It is elite ranged classes can kite it to death. For other classes, it might be more difficult, try to get help and kill one. If you can't find help, no worries for now, we'll have more opportunities to kill one later. 2. Go southeast to The Heap (29,78). Kill Zaxxis agents until you have 10 Zaxxis Insignias and gather up 10 pieces of Ethereal Technology
3. (Optional) While in the area, you might see Netherock, a big elite rock giant. He roams goes back and forth along the southern edge of this island, in between The Heap and the Arklon Ruins. Most classes can solo him. He's immune to movement impairing effects but doesn't hit that hard. He can also be kited to Area 52 where the guards will help you. At 75%/50%/25% HP he spawns an add, ignore them and just burn Netherock down. Just make sure you don't attack him if there's any thunder elemental or rock elemental near him, because they will link. 4. Ride back to Area 52, turn in all quests and get all follows ups. No map needed for the next circuit. 1. Scryers: Go to Manaforge B'naar (25,67). Kill Sunfury Magisters until one drops a Bloodgem Shard and also kill what you need for [68] High Value Targets. The warp-masters and warp-engineers can mostly be found inside the building. The geologists are mostly on the southeastern side of the manaforge (26,70).
Use the Bloodgem Shard, this should complete [68] Blood Gem Crystals. Aldors: Go back to Manaforge B'naar, clear the way till you're inside the manaforge. Find the controle console in the center of the room, it is a big purple crystal, can't miss it. Right-click it and you should get a quest complete message for [68] Naaru Technology.
Both: 2. (optional) Southeast of Manaforge B'Naar you should find a goblin at (26,77) with a quest [68] It's a Fel Reaver, But with Heart. Normally you can't solo it, but there's a trick. Here's how: go next to the Scrapped Fel Reaver and use the Fel Zapper, then go back quickly to the goblin. Wait there and do not attack the fel reaver or the zaxxis ambusher and after about 5-6 minutes they will despawn. Then just kill the Scrapped Fel Reaver and loot its heart. Simple enough? You can even kill the Zaxxis agents east of the goblin while waiting, since you need them for the next step, but don't go too far though. Another thing, you must not get out of combat once you've attacked the Fel Reaver, or it will reset the whole thing. 3. Just a little southeast of the goblin tent you should find Warp-Raider Nesaad (28,79). Kill him. 4. Hearthstone back to Area 52, turn in all quests, get all the follow ups.
1. Go north to the Ruins of Enkkat (31,57) where you should find two quest givers. Don't take the quest given by the robot yet, just take [68] Recharging the Batteries. Read this paragraph first. The quest given by the robot is an escort, and the cool thing is, you can pretty much complete the 2 following quests while doing the escort:
Just let the robot go infront and take the first hit, he's pretty tough and you can let him tank stuff while looting crystals. After completing the escort, turn it in. 2. Go north until you hit the edge (31,51). You should find Phase Hunters and Nether Rays there. You have to kill both, however, you must use your Battery Recharging Blaster on the Phase Hunters when they are below 30% HP before killing them. 3. You should be rather close to Manaforge B'naar after finishing the two quests above. So go further south/southeast and enter the Manaforge building.
Kill any nearby sunfury agent, get full HP/mana. 4. Hearthstone back to Area 52. Turn in all quests and get all follow ups.
1. Go north to (33,59) where you'll find a long crack with Mana Wraiths around. Kill them until you got 7 Mana Wraith Essences. 2. Go northwest to Bot-Specialist Alley (31,57), turn in [68] Recharging the Batteries. 3. Go back to Area 52, turn in and get the follow up [68] Elemental Power Extraction. 4. Go south of area 52, all the way down to the cliff edge (36,78). Kill Sundered Rumblers and Warp Aberrations and use your Elemental Power Extractor on them before they die. After their death, look for a blue shard next to their corpse and loot it.
Do this 5 times and you should complete [68] Elemental Power Extraction. 5. Go northeast to the Ruins of Arklon (40,73). Look for the following 4 items and right-click them:
They are rather big and easy to see. 6. Scryers: 6.a Hearthstone back to Area 52. Go talk to Veronia, who stands next to the flight master. Tell her you're ready. This will make you fly to Manaforge Coruu. Turn in [69] Behind Enemy Lines, get the follow up [68] A Convincing Disguise. ==Note== If you didn't kill an Arcane Annihilator yet, now is your chance, there is one roaming inside manaforge Coruu, try to kill one while doing the following steps. 6.b Go kill Sunfury Arcanists just northwest of where you landed, until one of them drops a Sunfury Arcanist Robes. Then go kill Guardsmen and Researchers until they drop their respective item. Guardsmen are mostly found guarding the doors of Manaforge Coruu. Researchers are mostly found inside the building. Once you have completed [68] A Convincing Disguise, go back to Caledis at the previous landing spot (48,87) and turn in, get the follow up [68] Information Gathering. 6.c Use your Sunfury Disguise, go back inside the Manaforge and go listen to the conversation between Arcanist Ardonis and Commander Dawnforge, who are in the southwestern wing (48,84). Beware of the Arcane Annihilators, they can see through the disguise. When you got the quest complete message, go back to Caledis, turn in the quest, get the follow up [69] Shutting Down Manaforge Coruu. Aldors: 6.d Go southeast across the bridge and further southeast to Manaforge Coruu (47,84) ==Note== If you didn't kill an Arcane Annihilator yet, now is your chance, there is one roaming inside manaforge Coruu, try to kill one while doing the following step. Both: 7. Go inside Manaforge Coruu. Find and kill Overseer Seylanna, who can generally be found near the center of the building. Loot the Coruu Access Crystal from her. Clear any nearby mob, get full HP/mana, and then right-click the Controle Console, start the emergency shut down. Kill technicians as they come until you get a complete message. Scryers: Go back to Caledis, turn in [69] Shutting Down Manaforge Coruu, get the follow up [68] Return to Thalodien. [b]Both: 8.[/b] Exit Manaforge Coruu by the eastern gate, find Spellbinder Maryana (52,82), she's in the camp just northeast of the eastern gate. Loot the Sigil of Krasus from her. 9. Go east/southeast to the Violet Tower (58,86). Take all 6 quests:
1. Go southwest of the tower, to the area called Wizard Row (56,87). Kill 10 Mana Seekers and 10 Mageslayers. Also pick up the Mana Bomb Fragment on the floor at (55.7,87.3).
2. Go southeast to the area called Town Square, you should find Krasus's Compendium - Chapter 2 inside a one-room house at (57.5,89.6)
Kill every Severed Spirits on your way, as well as Abjurist Belmara if you find her. Find and loot the other two chapters, they are also inside one-room houses at the following locations:
Kill stuff in this area until you find Abjurist Belmara, she roams in this area. Kill her, loot her book and right-click it to start the quest [69] Abjurist Belmara. 3. Go east/northeast until you find a town hall building at (60,87). Kill stuff in the area infront of it until you find Cohlien Frotweaver and Conjurer Luminrath. They both walk up and down the path leading to the town hall.
4. Go further east/northeast until you see a smith-house (61,85). Kill Kirin'Var Apprentices there until one drops a Smithing Hammer. Now kill Severed Spirits until you finish [68] Malevolent Remnants. 5. Use Archmage Vargoth's Staff, turn in [69] Krasus's Compendium, get the follow up [69] Unlocking the Compendium.
This should make you ding level 69. If it doesn't, no problem, just keep following the guide, you can do everything from now on even if you're one level behind. Level 69
1. Go west to the blood elf camps outside of Manaforge Coruu (52,82). Gather 10 Energy Isolation Cubes

Go to the smith-house (61,85), which is directly east of the rune. Kill Rhonsus. 7. Northwest of the smith-house you should see a bridge, go there, cross the bridge and make a sharp left turn at the end of it, go up the hill and you should find the last rune at (57,83). Activate the Northeastern Rune. 8. Northwest of this rune you should see Sunfury Hold (55,81). Go there. First, find and kill a Sunfury Flamekeeper, which should drop a Flaming Torch.
and Tents
==Note== You can be lazy and burn the same ballista / tent 4 times, you just have to wait till it stops burning and you can use the torch again. However, you need to kill 10 Sunfury Archers in this area, so you might as well clear the place while looking for various ballistas and tents. 9. East of the Sunfury Hold you should find a cow called Bessy (59,79). Turn in [69] Needs More Cowbell, don't get the follow up yet, read the next few lines before. At the end of the escort, you should be back at the violet tower. Summon Archmage Vargoth, turn in [69] Unlocking the Compendium, get the follow up [69] Summoner Kanthin's Prize. You might die once while trying to get up there, but the graveyard is close, and you can easily climb on top of the barrel as a ghost and then resurrect on top of the barrel safely. You'll be 100% safe once you're on this barrel. 2. Go east/southeast until you find a bridge going to the next island, then go northeast to the Eco-dome Midrealm, and keep going east/northeast till you find Midrealm Post (47,57). Turn in the quests you have and get all the available quests. 3. First,go directly northeast of the camp and you'll find Diagnostic Equipments (48,55).
Go back to the camp, turn in [68] Run a Diagnostic!, get the follow up [68] Deal With the Saboteurs. 4. Now do the following things, all of this is at the same place inside the dome:
When you've finished all 3 quests, go back to Midrealm Post, turn them in and get all the follow ups. 5. Go southeast, just outside of the dome you should find a camp with Gan'arg Engineers and Mo'arg Doomsmithes in it (49,59).
Go back to Midrealm Post, turn in and get the follow ups. 6. Go east/southeast to Manaforge Duro (57,64). Outside of it, you'll find camps of blood elves. Look on the floor for Boxes of Surveying Equipment.
Scyers Kill 8 Sunfury Conjurers, 6 Sunfury Bowmen and 4 Sunfury Centurions. Aldors Kill Sunfury Bowmen and Sunfury Centurion until one drops a Sunfury Military Briefing. Both Centurions are mostly found guarding the gate to the manaforge. Summon Archmage Vargoth, turn in the quest and get the follow up [68] Ar'kelos the Guardian. 7. Further up at the next camp just south of this one you should find a named bowman called Master Daellis Dawnstrike (57,66). Kill him. 8. Go inside Manaforge Duro. Clear the way to the southeastern wing (60,68) and kill Overseer Athanel, loot the the Duro Access Crystal. 9. Mount up, ride east until you find Cosmowrench (65,67), get the new flight path and the quest [69] Bloody Imp-ossible! 10. Go north of Cosmowrench where you should find a lot of Warp Chasers (66,63). Right-click Zeppit's Crystal and start killing Warp Chasers. You must be very close (almost in melee range) to the warp chasers are they die, or the imp won't gather their blood. Keep doing this until you have 8 Warp Chaser Blood. Go back to Cosmowrench, turn in the quest. 11. Hearthstone back to Area 52. Turn in all the quests, get the follow ups. Don't forget to turn in [68] Dr.Boom at the pit southeast of Area 52. Congratulations on level 70! If you're not level 70 by now, don't worry, I'll be adding more circuits from Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley as soon as possible. I hope you enjoyed this guide, now I leave the rest up to you. I highly recommend finishing all the quests in Netherstorm and doing all those in Shadowmoon Valley. This should get you your 280% speed flying mount, or at least close to it. NEW: I highly recommend following Krowa's Shadowmoon Valley Guide before going to Northrend. If you're interested in getting more gold and the Shadowmoon Valley quest achievement, you should definitely do it. The quality of this guide is very high. See you in Northrend for the next chapter! I hope you enjoyed this guide. If you want to return the favor, please try to contribute. -Jame © Copyrights www.wow-pro.com All Rights Reserved

misplaced hearth
I have used your guides for 4 toons, counting the one i am on now, and they are fantastic. However, close to the start of this guide, after visiting windyreed, nes's camp and on to throne of the ele's, you say to hearth, when garadar is only a 1 min. SWIM
to the south. Perhaps a hearth should be placed somewhere so it can be used more effectively?
just a suggestion, and keep up the GREAT work!

great guide though, its got me racing through the levels.
Just a side note...
First let me say Thank You. What an awesome service you have provided here. I have used your guide non-stop from level 21 and I am now 67 and just entering Nagrand. Which brings me to the "little side note". When I first zoned into Nagrand I noticed I was running low on ammo and decided to run to Garadar first. When I got there I chose to grab the quests you had listed but I found an extra one. Apparently if you go to Garadar before going to the Nestingway camp there is a quest to find the Nestingway camp given by the Tauren sitting around the campfire across from the Wanted poster named Ohlorn Farstrider. I don't know if you omitted it on purpose but I thought it was worth mentioning for those trying to get achievements. Thanks again

Good to know, the Nagrand
Good to know, the Nagrand achievement REALLY sucks. I finally managed to get it last week after doing all group quests including the Thrall quest chain, and I still had one quest left with no quests available! I was prepared to camp the Nessingwary area for that hunter who gets attacked, but luckily she had just been saved when I arrived. I got the quest and the achievement!
Moving on to Northrend
I've seen several people ask this in various parts of Jame's guides, so I thought I would share my experience for anyone wondering whether to move on to Northrend when they hit 70 or to stay and finish Outland.
I followed Jame's guides to build a toon from level 21 to 80. I hit level 70 long before finishing Blade's Edge and Netherstorm, but kept going in Outland and finished Netherstorm and then did Shadowmoon Valley. While you do not get as much experience for quests in Outland compared to Northrend, I hit level 75 before heading to Northrend and continuing with Jame's guides. Doing so, I was level 80 before finishing the Borean Tundra guide (meaning that every quest I completed in the rest of Northrend gave me a hefty sum of gold instead of experience).
So when Jame recommends finishing a section before moving on to the next one, do not dismiss it lightly. The amount of gold you can pull in from just quest turn ins later in Northrend makes saving for your flying training, epic flyers, gear upgrades, bigger bags, etc., a piece of cake.
I am doing the same thing
I am on level 70 and am about 1/2 way through Blades Edge Mountains. It is good to know this is going to work for me. I did pick op the standard flying mount and let me say that makes Outland even easier to level in. The other thing about staying in Outland is that at level 70 you are a big fish in a small pond. I find I rarely run accross Alliance player charecters that I can destroy with ease. The quests are much easier and still provide full XP.
I do have a question about one thing for anyone who cares to answer. I have been considering taking a break from leveling so I can try and get some T6 Onslaught Battlegear. I have a few questions:
- Can my level 70 DK use the Onslaught Battlegear? The DPS Config for a warrior looks great for my DK but the tokens they discuss seem class specific.
- Is there anything else tied to this (like reputation) or is it get a raid together and go kill the bosses and then yo uget the toekns to buy the armor.
- Is it worth taking a break from leveling to try and get this armor? I would think having a full set of T6 armor would make the journey to 80 a whole lot easier. But I am not certain if it is achievable (is this a pipe dream) and is it worth it because when I hit 80 I will be looking for new armor.

-I don't think the DK can
-I don't think the DK can use any tier gear below tier 7.
-No reputation is tied to those raids, you can go there no matter your rep, there are just some special rep items that require you to clear the raids multiple time to receive them, but the tier pieces are not part of that.
-While doing those old raids would be fun, I really don't think it would be worth it at all. Leveling from 70-80 is honestly really freaking easy, and as a DK even mnore so. The gear you get from questing alone will be plenty good enough. Yes, T6 gear could tide you over for a large portion of 70-80, but it's not necessary in any way. Of course, getting that gear would be fun, and if you can get a group of people together to do it, then go for it!

Thanks Jame!
Hey Jame
I've been following your guide on my paladin from the beginning now at level 21! The guides have been great and made questing alot more fun than pure grinding!
I decided do leave Blades Edge out completly, as I hate the zone. I went to Netherstorm at 69 with a few bars untill 70. I've finally reached 70 and am now going to start on your Northrend guide, so thank you very much for writing them!
Regards,
Ryuzaki.
Question on 65-70 guide for you Jame
Okay well I was a little ahead on my DK but im on your 3rd round in netherstorm and just got 70. I was wondering when I finish your guide should I go to northrend or finish outlands...Really I want to get a ton of gold for this chars epic flyer and my main's but I dont want to get left behind in quests and have northrend slow and boring. Thanks

That said, do what is most fun for you. It's a game after all, being slightly more efficient in money or gold making won't make up for you not having fun while playing!
A Newbie Question
I know this is going to be a stupid question but: I am currently 69 and halfway to 70. I have just started Nagrand and am up to the second set of Hemingway's quests. The quests I'm doing are giving around the 11,000-13,500xp mark.
My friend said I should move to Northrend at 70 or 71 because all the quests there give around 20,000xp and says I will level there much faster.
I'm a newbie to Outland and Northrend, so can anyone give this newb some advice? Whether I should continue in Outland or go straight to Northrend?
Thanks, Haytred

Keep in mind, while the
Keep in mind, while the quests in Outland may give less XP, you also can complete them much faster since you are a higher level than they are!
Plus, if you ever want to get the achievements for these areas, now is the time, while you still get XP from the quests.
However, if you get sick of Outland, then by all means move on!

Jame's advice always is to
Jame's advice always is to follow his outland guides until the end, even if you'll be level 73 when you get to northrend. This will make you ding 80 really early in nothrend and you'll earn tons of gold finishing the quests in the last zones. Also you will level quicker if you are some levels ahead of the northrend zones. In the end it's up to you, but advice is to stay in outland.
Gurok the Usurper
Something I ran across following the guide:
For the Gurok the Usurper quest [end of Nagrand section], I would recommend three additional details:
1) You require 7 War Maul Skulls to summon him. I only had one when I got there.
2) In reference to "fighting with the mountain behind you" this does not mean the high mountainous outcroppings as he can boot you right over the top of these.
3) If you do die...you have to have *another* 7 War Maul Skulls to start over again.
Hopefully helpful comments.
Thanks as usual for the wonderful guides!

What do I do next
Hey Jame, I've been lvl 70 for quite a while (Since the end of Nagrand to be exact) and I'm currently in Netherstorm, should I skip the rest of the guide and go to northrend or should i stay until i finish the guide?
Great guide as always, Jame.
More circuits
According to the guide:
"If you're not level 70 by now, don't worry, I'll be adding more circuits from Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley as soon as possible."
I know Northrend is available now, but I'm continuing in Outlands to get as much xp as possible before moving on and was wondering if these said circuits would ever be added?

Missed turning in a quest
Hi Jame,
Dont know if this has been mentioned before. I missed turning in a quest in your guide. The guide says for questing in Blade Edge Mountains:
----
13. Get back on the road and go to Evergrove (63,40). Turn in [64] Ruuan Weald and [68] Damaged Mask, get the follow ups.
Gather all the quests in Evergrove.
Get the new flight path.
Fly to Thunderlord Stronghold.
----
What I missed in the guide is that you need to turn in the follow up of [68] Damaged Mask right away to get the quest [68] Felsworn Gas Mask. This followup which you need to turn in is [68] Mystery Mask and can be turned in at Wildlord Antelarion. First time I skipped it and had to fly back to Evergrove to turn it in and get the right quest...
Hope this helps

Thanks, fixing it Love
Thanks, fixing it
Love your avatar btw, Kenpachi as the KFC mascot? WTF ^^
i have some questions :p..
well the first one
"1. In Netherstorm, while crossing the bridge, get the quest [68] Off To Area 52. (If the quest doesn't appear, check your quest log to see if you have [67] A Strange Vision or [67] Out of This World Produce!. If you do, abandon it and the quest should now be available)"
1-i accidentally take the quest "a strange vision" and turn it in at area 52
....... what can i do .. ?
2- the second one is.. well since the level cap is 80 i can still make the outland and netherstorm quests and have the all the money they give ? i mean if i am lvl 70 they're going to give gold instahead of exp ? help pls =)..
Administrator
1. Ignore it, it's not a big
1. Ignore it, it's not a big deal. The follow ups are the same.
2. No, level 70 is no longer the cap, so you only get XP if you do those quests at level 70.
However, if you do those quests at 80, you will get no XP at all and no gold converted because those quests will be grey to you. That's why it's better to do them while they're still giving you xp, and then you'll ding level 80 much earlier in Northrend. The earlier you ding 80 in Northrend, the more quests you'll have left to do at level 80, and those will give you extra gold instead of exp thanks to being level capped.

Northrend questing
Hi Jame! Thanks so much for the guides but i have just ONE question if i go to northrend at 70 you say that ill get to 80 faster right? that makes sense, but if you go there at 68 are you going to get to 70 faster than if you kept questing in outlands? because My main is a Blood Elf DK level 67 and he is my highest toon and i have never flown a flying mount so i really wanna ding 70!
And also, do you think buying the DK flying mount will pay off in the long run or should i just get the regular mount?
~BE DK on Argent Dawn~
Northrend
Hi Jame. first id like to thank you for your guides. have been following them with my DK all the way to lvl 69 where iam now.
i am 80% into lvl 69 and ive just come to the part in the guide when it says that i should go to Blade's edge mountains...well the guide says that i should be lvl 66 soon but when i hit lvl 70...should i go to northrend or stick to your guide...hope to here from you
Do all the quests?
I haven't gotten here yet, but should we go to Northrend right after we finish this guide, or should we finish Netherstorm and Shadowmoon, then go to Northrend?
Administrator
It's up to you, I would
It's up to you, I would recommend just going to Northrend once you finish this guide. But yes of course, you'll get some extra gold in the end if you finish all the Outland quests while they are still yellow or green to you.
However, you'll get to 80 faster if you go to Northrend as soon as you finish this guide.
Aldor vs. Scryer
Long time reader, first time poster...great guides. I really appreciate all the work put in.
If I may make a fast suggestion to people using these it would be to be sure to choose Aldor as your faction while going through the guides. 2 reasons for this:
1. The rep. rewards really do not matter much anymore since the release of WotLK.
2. The amount of exp. required to level now from 60 to 70 is quite a bit lower then it was when these guides were first crafted. All of the low level reputation quests are related to the Aldor faction. The Scryer quests do not come in to the picture until much later (especially since they removed the poison the cooking pot Scryer quest) and you'll likely have already dinged 70 long before you reach the Scryer quests in this guide.
Hope this tidbit helps!
Thanks, and a tip
I have been using your guide since starting my deathknight- now level 68, and am grinding out the Nesingwary quests. Just a tip for other dks who may be at this point: if you are leveling in the unholy spec (you followed the guide, right?
, you can clear these very rapidly. Aggro 2 of whatever you are grinding, attack as normal, but don't burn any runic power. After the fight, pop unholy blight, then mount up. Your UB will aggro the yellow mobs- I generally stack 4 at a time. Make sure you are using Death Strike liberally. When you finish, pop UB again, and repeat. I cleared thirty Windrocs in less than ten minutes with this method.
Thanks again for the very well written guide.
Very Important
ok the point whre it says you should have these quests: Your quest log should look like this at the moment:
[66] A Curse Upon Both of Your Clans!
[66] Creating the Pendant
[67] A Time for Negotiation...
[67] Culling the Wild
[67] From the Ashes
[67] Gather the Orbs
[67] Little Embers
[67] On Spirit's Wings (this quest right here is no longer in the new patch)
[68] Felsworn Gas Mask
i went back as far as i could tracking the quest line for this and i followed it exactly (i rechecked 3 times) and well its just not there anymore just letting you know so u can take it out!

It should still be
It should still be there.
It's a very long quest chain, it starts with this quest:
[66] Thunderlord Clan Artifacts
Awesome guide - Just wanna say thank you!
Hi Jame,
I started using your Death Knight guide, followed by your two Outland guides and it's just awesome. I'm near at the end of your 65-70 guide, runing the last few Netherstorm quests with 70 and 85% to 71.
Awesome work and awesome guide! Everything goes really quick and easy to follow.
Keep up your work!

Blade'ss Edge Mountains
Hey.
I'd like to say thank you for your guides
I hit 70 in Nagrand. For the sake of my OCD, I'm finishing all the zones in Outlands before going to Northrend.
After following your guide word for word in Blade's Edge Mountains, I found that I still have 15 quests left, before the achievement "On The Blade's Edge"
Could you please tell me where these other quests are?
Thank you.
Ogri'la. Go to lower city
Ogri'la.
Go to lower city in Shattrath, and find a red ogre. He'll give you a quest leading to the Ogri'la chain. It does have several group quests, though, and it might be quite difficult to find people to do those with, now that everyone's in Northrend.

Few ideas
Eya Jame,
Still using your guide. At 70 now, in Blade's edge, and going great.
I do have a few suggestions however.
I suggest simply taking the flight path to Ruaan Weald, and riding down the mountain from there. You come out just besides the ogres, and (I think) it'll save you some time.
Same as before, I think its faster flying to Ruaan Weald, and riding down the mountain there. If you leave the ramp, the marmot cave is just across from you.
However... I might pay to do this step:
first, seeing you'll have a few of the ogres out of the way that could kill your Marmot.
Thats all, will post when I find out more.

Thanks for your feedback.
Thanks for your feedback. I'm not sure if I'll change this part in the near future though, that would require re-doing some maps, and I don't have the time right now
Hi Jame, I finally got
I finally got round to registering to give you a big hug and say thankyou to you and the other authors.
I've only been playing WOW for roughly 3 months now - I finally gave into the hype XD - and I leveled my first char to 70, 2 days ago.
I started using the guides on this brilliant site when my hunter char was level 10, and by the time she was level 30, I was a constent 3-4 levels above the guide which made for a very quick and easy progression.
All the guides are very easy to follow and understand, Koudos to the guys/girls who put the time and effort into creating them.
I'm currently part way through the lvl 65-70 and have come across an inconsistency in a quest chain :-
This quest chain starts when you find a [Damaged Mask] off of a defeated Fel Corrupter.
You then need to right click it to start it and it asks you to take it to O'Mally Zapnabber.
so until you do this first, Wildthorn dosent speak to you as such.
Keep up the good work guys it's really appreciated.

hey this is a great guide mate.i want to ask that i am level 66 but according to your guide must be 64 .Anyways where can i start your guide for normal levelling .because doing 64 section when i am 66 is boring:D

The best thing to do is to
The best thing to do is to keep on with the 64 section - being ahead of the guide is a good thing! Unless you are killing grey monsters, its best not to skip anything. Green monsters and quests still give great experience and are much easier/faster to do. I actually dinged to 70 while I was still in the 64 section of Jame's guide!
