Draenei starting guide for 1-12 Levels - Azse

Hello there. Theres list of things you Should read. Smiling

Need to do: try to kill nearly every mob on your way... this will cut your grinding sessions nicely, also try to loot everything for your beginning skill cash.

Needed: World of Warcraft and The Burning Crusade

Not so needed: AddOns, Titan Panel: shows your XP/hour rate and many other nice things like coords. Load it here:http://wow.curse.com/downloads/addons/
Coords: Yes... not so needed but will help you to spot some places at my guide. load it at: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/addons/

Groups: we don't have to waste time on finding groups if we do everything carefully,if someone invites you to group please nicely tell why you won't join:better XP solo.

Friends: Of course! Have friends with you if possible but join group with them only at boss or other way too hard mob. also... if you don't want to join group you can do everything twice because won't take long for bosses etc. in this isle to spawn.

Races: If you're Gnome, Dwarf or Human i say you should stay at your home questing there,Night Elfs are welcome to Azuremyst at lvl 5-6+. (Don't know the way? go to Darnassus and from there step out of there to dock by portal, take ship to Auberdine. When there go to most western dock (if confused look from way showing things). Take boat there and in no time you see youre bit south of Exodar. From Exodar take a walk to east following the road until you find Azure Watch. (don't forget to take flight paths!)Note:I don't say other races can't come but choose your class wisely if you want to come.

Okies.... so you have found yourself in crushed pod. You think what to do, and see Draenei with ! over his head.

Level 1 to 2: Go talk to Megelon and take his quest. Right from road, you see Vale Moths go kill them until you reach Level 2

Level 2 to 3: Go to Crash Site, turn You Survived! in, get follow up Replenishing the Healing Crystals. Go meet Botanist Taerix west from where you are and get quest Volatile Mutations. Go back where you killed Moths and kill every Vale Moth and Volatile Mutation until you complete both quests and hit Level 3.

Level 3 to 4: Go back to Botanist Taerix and turn in Volatile Mutations get follow up. Next to her is Apprentice Vishael with quest Botanical Legwork take it. Go turn in Replenishing the Healing Crystals. Take follow up, inside ship, turn it in, get follow up (next time you see Draenei Survivor use Gift of the Naaru on him.) Go other side of ship, wear better armors, sell junk and learn new skills... while learning skills your trainer got quick class quest for you, take it and turn in right away.
At other side of ship are Zhanaa and Aldar with quests take both. Go west towards purple area on map(73,50). there you will find many Mutated Root Lashers also there is some big red flowers you can pick up, while killing Lashers loot as many flowers as needed for quest. With some luck you find Draenei survivor here.
When done with quests, if your not Level 4 yet, grind here a bit.

Level 4 to 5: Go back to Botanist Taerix, turn in your quests to Taerix and Vishael and get follow up Healing the Lake. Make a quick trip in to the ship and turn your quest in if possible. Learn new skills then sell, wear better armors and resupply. Then go south following river until you come to lake. Swim to crystal and use Neutralizing Agent on it. When done with it swim east, from there you should see Mutated Owlkins and Nestlewood Owlkins. Try to get near to normal ones and use your Inoculating Crystal on them. While killing/cleaning Owlkins move bit northeast until you find road that goes up to hills, go up there and start looking for Emitter Spare Parts. When you reach highest spot of hill, there is road that goes down but other side. When down there you will find many Spare Parts and Normal Owlkins for your quests. When both quests complete if your not Lvl 5 yet, grind here a bit.

Level 5 to 6: At southern part of Owlkin area you will find cave that you can go through to other side. (84,64) ---> (82,61). Now get back to the ship and turn Inoculation in at Aldar and take follow up The Missing Scout, then turn Spare Parts in at Zhanaa. Now wear better armor, sell and repair and resupply. When done go to Botanist Taerix and turn in Healing the Lake. Start moving towards southwestern part of isle. Find Tolaan (72,61) and complete quest at him, get follow up. Now you should see Blood Elves southwest of where you are, go and kill 10 of them for your quest. When done go back to Tolaan and turn in your quest and get follow up Blood Elf Spy. If you don't already know where Surveyor Candress is. Shes at the highest part of Valley. Loot Blood Elf Plans from her and right click it to get quest Blood Elf Plans Now you shouldn't be far off from Level up (if you haven't leveled already), so grind here until you do.

Level 6 to 7,From Ammen Vale to Azure Watch:
Go back to Crash Site and turn both of your quests in at Aldar and take quest The Emitter then turn it in at Zhanaa. After getting info take quest Travel to Azure Watch.
Again, Wear better armor, sell, repair, resupply and learn new skills.
Go west till 64,54 or until you find Aeun with quest. Take hes quest and go down to river and find Diktynna, take her quest. Fish at schools until you have 10 Red Snappers.
When done with fishes go turn it in and get follow up Find Acteon!. Now go to west still following the road. Soon you will arrive to Azure WatchWhen you arrive to Azure Watch, go to inn and make it your home. turn in:Travel to Azure Watch at Dyvuun, Find Acteon! at Acteon.

Get quests:
The Great Moongraze Hunt from Acteon, Medicinal Purpose from Anchorite Fateema. Go south, kill Moon Graze Stags and Root Trappers until you have completed both quests and Leveled up.

Level 7 to 8: Go back to Azure Watch turn in The Great Moongraze Hunt and take follow up then turn in Medicinal Purpose and get quest from Daedal. Sell and repair. Now go north and kill any Infected Nightstalker Runt for Faintly Glowing Crystal, right click it to get quest Strange Findings visit at Azure Watch turn it in and get follow up go back to forest to north. Kill 8 Infected Nightstalker Runts and Moongraze Bucks until you have 6 hides and if you find any Azure Snapdragon Bulb loot them. (blue lamp like things) When your around 4 bars away from Level up go to Azure Watch and turn in all your quests, this will make you Level up and few bars from next Level, train new skills, sell and repair.

Level 8 to 9: Get The Missing Fisherman, The Prophecy of Velen, then go south following road until you find Odesyus Landing. Turn in The Prophecy of Velen, get follow up and get Cookie's Jumbo Gumbo. Go to shore and kill every crab while moving east. Kill Venture Co.'s and loot map from camp (58,66) and compass from smaller camp. (59,67) If you haven't completed Cookie's Jumbo Gumbo yet then kill crabs until you do. Go to Odesyus Landing and turn in quests. Take all quests you can from camp. You can't be far from Level (if haven't Leveled yet) up so try to kill mobs on way so you Level up. Sell and repair.

Level 9 to 10: Go west among the shore until you find Wrathscales kill 5 of every for your quest while looting Ancient Relics, while killing Nagas you should get Rune Covered Tablet right click it to get quest Rune Covered Tablet. When done, go to woods and find 5 Piles of Leaves and Hollowed Out Tree (45,62)go back to Odesyus Landing, turn in all quests and get follow ups, sell and repair. Go west among the shore until you find cave (27,77) In cave you can jump down in small hole, you can see Warlord Sriss'tiz west from you. Go kill him, hes not hard. When done get out of cave. Go west from cave and swim to (18,84) and use Tree Disguise Kit to uncover the traitor. When you know who it is, go to dock at southern part of same isle, turn in quest and get follow up. Go to other side of island trough woods and find Magwin (13,73) and take her quest, in woods loot every Owlkin and loot them for Remains of Cowlen's Family. When at docks turn in both quests or if you didn't find remains kill some more Owlkins until you get them. You should be level 10 now, if not grind on Owlkins.

Level 10 to 11: Go to Odesyus Landing and turn in quest, get follow up from Odesyus and go to shore talk to Gnome and be ready for fight, get back to Odesyus Landing and turn in your quest, take follow up. HS to Azure Watch, turn in your quest and get other quest of hes. Train your new skills and do class quest. Get back to Azure Watch. Get quest Learning The Language from Cryptographer Aurren. Read book, turn in, take follow up. Follow Akida to next totem (55,41), turn in and get follow up. Wait for Coo to give you wings and fly east over river and find Totem of Tikti (64,39), turn in and take follow up. Wait for Tikti to cast spell on you and swim south following river until you find Totem of Yor. (63,67) Turn in, get follow up and follow Yor until you find Totem of Vark. (28,62) Turn in, get follow up, kill Bristlelimbs until you get 8 keys. When you have them free 8 Stillpine Captives. Go north outside of Exodar (81,51)turn in Coming of Age, get follow up. At this spot i Leveled. Maybe its class that means but anyway i mark it as next stage.

Level 11 to 12, The last run: If your HS is ready, use it and if not run to Azure Watch. Turn in at Arugoo and get quest Stillpine Hold. Go north to Stillpine Hold turn in quest. (46,20) Now get Beasts of the Apocalypse!, Murlocs... Why Here? Why Now? go east until you find Raveger Specimens (54,20) kill these until you complete your quest. Now follow road to north and when it forks go west to coast. At coast kill Murlocs and loot Stillpine Grains. When you have 5 Stillpine Grains you have to find Murgurgula, kill him and loot Gurf's Dignity, right click it to get quest. Now go back to Stillpine Hold and turn in all your quests. Get new quests Search Stillpine Hold and Chieftain Oomoroo. Go to cave, don't go up, go deeper in to cave. In water or small island you see Blood Crystal, go open it, get follow up. Get out of cave and turn in quest. Get The Kurken is Lurkin' from Kurz. Go back to cave and kill The Kurken, loot The Kurken's Hide. Then go upper path and kill Owlkins until you finish your quest. Get out of cave and turn in both quests, this may make you Level up... if not doesn't matter because we have few quests left. Take follow up and turn it in at other side of village. Go north over bridge until you reach Bloodmyst Isle. Turn in your quest and get The Kessel Run. You get mounted, ride to Odesyus Landing -> Azure Watch -> Stillpine Hold -> back here. You have to be 12 now or you missed something.

End of this guide! Congratulations for Level 12 and thank you for using your time to read this!
note, if you want to leave these isles, (and follow another guide) you should go to IF and follow http://www.wow-pro.com/node/1008.

Very nice guide

Submitted by Anonymous on Sun, 2008-01-27 19:15.

Took my right around 6 hours to hit 12 and I was almost 13 when I completed the guide. The only thing I did that deviated was in Odyseus Landing if you are lvl 10 the cave to the west killing the warlord is a mission. I went back and killed him for the mission and so I could mine in there Eye

Without stopping for the occasional mine and had I of not done that I would have completed about 30 min faster.

Congrats I look forward to using your guides for some future leveling!

Did it!

Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 2007-11-19 10:18.

Great guide! Did the whole thing very quickly and didn't have to consult thottbot. Only error I noticed was somewhere you said to go east but it was actually west (didn't matter since I followed the coords and they were correct).

Thanks for your work with the guide, couldn't have leveled as fast without it.

Laughing out loud thats good if you like it bit more now. And about that choosing thing its great! because our guides are having it done nearly same way, and some ppls don't really want to have coords or dont want to install/know how. so they can choose this and with coords they can use Strands. That doesn't really matter because at end you will be 12 Smiling

I agree with all Sven's

Submitted by Strands on Sun, 2007-09-02 23:34.

I agree with all Sven's pointers - maybe we should merge the guides and the three of us work on the ones already started? Might be better when you put it in the terms of what would be best for the guide-pool of WoW-pro Sticking out tongue

why not keep both

Submitted by Sven on Mon, 2007-09-03 20:49.

You could also both finish your guides, then the other users would have the choice between either Strand's light weight heavy coord-based guide and this more detailed one by asze. I would link both guides in mine then.

this one is actually getting better than I thought in the beginning, although there's still little things to change once it's done.

you should both keep it up Smiling

sven

Hello, In case you haven't

Submitted by Strands on Sat, 2007-09-01 13:13.

Hello,

In case you haven't noticed yet, i've started building a Draenei guide and Sven is constructing a 12-20 leading on from mine. Feel free to contribute to my guide and you will be credited, or you could, of course, finish your own.

Either way, good luck Smiling

Guide

Submitted by Sven on Sat, 2007-09-01 17:37.

Besides there's Strands Guide coming up, I noticed that your English language skills seem kinda weak, I found grammar and spelling mistakes spread all over your guide. I would strongly recommend running a spell checking program over it at least.
Many parts of the text also seem far too long, like it's faster to read the quest texts by yourself. I'd recommend cutting them shorter. Leveling Guides are meant to be short but precise to speed up the leveling process.

I just PM'ed you with examples and hints and tips to improve it.

I also think there's some false information here and there, but maybe I just think different.
Example: There's nothing against Human, Dwarfen or Gnome players to quest here in Azure- and Bloodmyst, as long as they aren't Warlocks (only trainer on Kalimdor is in Ratchet) or Rogues (nearest trainer is in Darnassus).
They just have to run to Ironforge or Stormwind and find a kind mage to portal them to the Exodar. I think it's quite worth it because I found the exp/hour in Azure- and especially Bloodmyst higher than in the Eastern Kingdom's alternatives AND because of the Bloodmyst quests you usually start the low 20's with FAR better equipment. Only little downside is that you can't take the final 3 quests in Bloodmyst if you're no Draenei, but you can just skip them.

Final point: Don't write "Coord AddOn not so needed" and use coords in your guides then. Smiling

Don't want to criticise you too hard, please just take them as kind advices to improve your style.

Sven
