Argent Crusade Reputation Guide
Table of Contents
Introduction
The Argent Crusade is a faction created from the union of the Argent Dawn and the Order of the Silver Hand. It was formed shortly after the Battle for Light’s Hope Chapel. He assumed a leadership position over the Argent Dawn and united the two factions in order to take the fight against the Lich King to Northrend.
Author’s Note: This is my first guide ever written so feedback is very welcome. If this guide is received well, I’m going to write more.
Reputation
The Argent Crusade has something in store for everyone, but just like all the other factions, you need a significant amount of reputation to receive the ability to get access to them. In this section are all possible ways described to gain reputation with the Argent Crusade.
Once you are friendly or higher with the Argent Crusade, you can buy their tabard at the Argent Crusade Quartermaster. When you wear it, all reputation gained while killing mobs in a 5-man dungeon or heroic, will go to your standing with the Argent Crusade.
Here is a map where you can find the Argent Crusade Quartermaster:
There are a lot of quests available to you to improve your standing with the Argent Crusade. And you can complete the most of them while you are still leveling! Below is a list with all the normal quests you can do to earn reputation, and how much reputation you get awarded by completing them. Faction specific quests are indicated with an [A] for Alliance Quests, and an [H] for horde quests. Quest Chains are separated with blank lines.

Daily Quests
There are only 2 daily quests for the Argent Crusade. I guess this compensates the massive amount of normal quests you can do. The daily quests are:
- [80] Slaves to Saronite (+250 rep)
- [76] Pa’troll (+350 rep)
Pa’trol requires you to a task for 4 different memebers of the Argent Crusade. And you get 500 extra reputation if you succeed in completing it under 20 minutes.
A big help when trying to get it done under 20 minutes is this addon (Thanks to trollvink) It shows the ingredients you need for Dr’ Finklestein’s Task. Which can normally be a pain to find.
Instead of describing in words how to do these quests, here is a great video on how to do them.
Rewards
Argent Crusade rewards can be bought from the Quartermaster in Icecrown:
The rewards at the following reputation levels are:
Friendly
- Tabard of the Argent Crusade – 1g – The Tabard you need to champion the cause of the Argent Crusade
Honored
- Arcanum of the Fleeing Shadow – 50g – Mediocore enchant, woudn’t recommend it.
- Cloak of Holy Extermination – 21g 9s 13c – Nice physical DPS cloak, not worth grinding rep for, but good to pick up if you’re working towards Revered/Exalted
- Standard Issue Legguards – 46g 18s 42c – Very solid Holy Pala leggings, would advice you to pick it up as paladins are going to grind this faction anyway.
- Special Issue Legplates – 46g 36s 29c – Solid Tanking leggings, can’t find much better outside Heroics. Unless you’re not def capped yet.
Revered
- Arcanum of the Stalwart Protector – 150g – A must have for every self-respecting tank.
- Argent Skeleton Crusher – 89g 56s 27c – One of the best Pre-Naxx 2H DPS weapons you can get.
- Battle-Mender’s Helm – 32g 72s 90c – A great Elemental/Restoration head piece if you’re a shaman. Note that it lacks Hit Rating and Mp5
- Design: Guardian’s Twilight Opal – 4g – Pattern to a great Tanking gem, not the best though.
- Fang-Deflecting Faceguard – 37g 96s 85c – Don’t be fooled by the name, it is a DPS helm, and a very good one. Not the best though.
- Purifying Torch – 52g 35s 6c – Solid wand, can’t say much more/
- Zombie Sweeper Shotgun – 53g 94s 17c – A pretty good pre-naxx gun for Hunters, not the best though, but worth picking up besides the Hauberk
Exalted
- Boots of the Neverending Path – 35g 83s 98c – The best Pre-Naxx Rogue/Hunter boots you’ll find.
- Helm of Purified Thoughts – 53g 67s 12c – A great Holy Paladin head piece, it’s even better than the titansteel one.
- Pattern: Brilliant Spellthread – 5g – Recipe for a good healing enchant, consider this as a bonus, not something to be worth grinding for.
- Polished Regimental Hauberk – 61g 23s 79c – The best Pre-Naxx Hunter chest. Can’t go wrong with this one.
- Signet of Hopeful Light – 28g 49s 83c – A very good caster ring, for healers and DPS alike, this will serve you well in Naxxramas
Argent TournamentIt’s worth noting that with the addition of the Argent Tournament you can now get 1350 rep through the questline to open up championship level and an additional 1100 rep through the new dailies. Perhaps you could add a link to Zerinj’s Tournament guide when it gets posted?
I think soI think so, if you want your guide to look super spiffy! Otherwise…
No need to resize! No need to resize the icons, unless you mean you did it by code. The way I resize them is by using the code: [img=99×99] imagelinkhere.com [/img] without the spaces. The first number being the width, the second the height.
Hmm… Is it really worthHmm… Is it really worth the time and effort for something you can see by mouse-over te name?
Heh, trust me I hear yaHeh, trust me I hear ya there. *Eyes tree guide meaningfully* – I must have used over 20 icons in there, had to download, sometimes resize, and upload them all!
It’s from WoWHead, but IIt’s from WoWHead, but I guess it’s the same.
Too bad, as it would’ve been much faster to do this way.
Bad! This isn’t a good ideaBad!
This isn’t a good idea for a lot of reasons, but mostly because it steals WoWWiki’s bandwidth (at least, I think it does). Also, if WoWWiki ever moves the images, it will break your links. Always download and re-upload images, please 🙂
Very good job!Very good job!
I really am so sorry, II really am so sorry, I should have been more careful. I just overlooked it. I hope you’re not too disappointed.
Can’t we just copy the urlCan’t we just copy the url and place it between IMG tags?
[img]http://static.wowhead.com/images/icons/large/inv_helmet_20.jpg[/img]
Edit: Yes we can!
WoWWiki icon page = win.WoWWiki icon page = win.
IconsGo to [url=http://www.wowhead.com/]wowhead.com[/url] and navigate to the item or spell you want an icon from. Then, double click that icon and a little box will come up. Copy the text in that box then go to [url=http://www.wowwiki.com/WoWWiki:WoW_Icons/Icon_List]this website[/url]. Ctrl + F and paste that wowhead text into there, so you can find that icon, and there it is! You can download the icon then upload it onto wow-pro, then link to it in your guide.
Additionally, you can download the icons from wowhead, but they don’t link the pictures directly, which means you’ll have to look at the source code of the website. That isn’t too much of a problem if you know what you’re doing.
I hope this helps, as I think I didn’t sound very clear.
Unbreakable,When I sawUnbreakable,
When I saw this guide, I pretty much thought: “What the …? Wasn’t I supposed to do this?”.
I had all the pre-work done, and logged in today in order to start writing. Turned out there wasn’t much writing for me to do today.
Then again, I don’t really care. Wow-pro got an Argent Crusade guide, and it’s one with good quality, and that’s what matters.
But for the next time, don’t “steal” other people’s work. What if I had already written the guide, and were just about to publish it, but just to see that a similar guide has already been published? That wouldn’t be cheerful.
So for the next time, check if someone else is working on a guide on a subject you want to write about, before writing about it. Also, it’s wise to report on “Needed Guides” that you are going to write a certain guide before you start doing it.
I know Jiyambi has already said most of this, but as part of the core of this matter, I felt I had say this.
Thanks Trollvink going toThanks Trollvink going to add it in a sec.
I would like to recommendI would like to recommend [url=http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/finklestein.aspx]this addon[/url], it makes life awesome.
All it does is showing the items you need for the truth serum.
Added some feedback to theAdded some feedback to the items.
i agreethanks for the guide. Looks great and seems pretty complete.
I agree with Jiyambi on the extra discussion on the rewards and his link.
You described very well, and clear, HOW to level this rep.
Following the Kirin Tor stated discussion, it would also show us quick and easy WHY we would do this.
I feel that it will save everyone a lot of time and hassle when the rewards are more explained, and when we get told why they are great ( if they are great )
Will help us easally decide IF we are going to follow this guide and get us the rep.
My compliments on how it is written and layed out.
3/5 for now, beceause i am kinda missing the WHY to do this.
Add that and it will be 4/5 instantly.
( tough indeed some nice images might help to, give it a more “finished and detailed” look to it. Thanks for the guide m8.
Job well done on a first guide for shure.
How did you do those Icons? How did you do those Icons?
cant hurt :)Hehe, more work then needed allways sucks, but having 2 people make a similar guide might nett some added intel 🙂
Looks very niceLooks very nice, especially for a first guide! I’m afraid I know little about this faction, but I like what I see.
5/5
Oh, and it’s suggestion you’re hunting for, I can say that little item icons are nice, to differentiate the gear, as currently it’s just text. 🙂
That is true, if it’s onlyThat is true, if it’s only over a day then it’s kinda pointless to post. Maw only posted his intention up there yesterday morning, and I added it to the list last night. So it’s probably okay, he probably hasn’t written much of it yet.
Anyway, it sounds like you did know the procedure, so it’s fine 😉 these things happen!
Sorry i didn’t announce thisSorry i didn’t announce this ahead, but i looked at the needed guides section, and there was no one on the list to write it as I recall, or I just might’ve missed it. 🙁
I really wrote this in a few hours so I thought announceing something to be posted later on the day, wouldn’t be neccesary.
Guide Collision :(First of all, please check the [url=https://www.wow-pro.com/wiki/needed_guides#General%20Guides]Needed Guides[/url] page next time before you start writing, and leave a note of what you are working on – I know Maw recently stated he was going to write an Argent Crusade rep guide, hopefully he hasn’t done too much work on it!
Overall this looks pretty good, I have no issues with the formatting, though it also doesn’t jump out at me as really amazing either. It’s short but seems like the information is all here. A little more discussion of the rewards might be nice, see [url=https://www.wow-pro.com/Kirin_Tor_Reputation_Guide]lunargecko’s Kirin Tor[/url] guide for a great example of a rewards section.
Regardless, this is a great first guide, we always appreciate new members contributing to the WoW-Pro community.
