Guides on how to improve the quality of your guides!
Many guides get submited on wow-pro everyday, but very few are actually good enough to be published. Here are a few guidelines you should follow before you write a guide, I've tried to keep it as short as possible.
1. Choose the topic of your guide very carefully, ask yourself these questions:
a) Do I have superior knowledge about this topic?
For example, do you think it's a good idea to write a mage guide if you've only played a mage up to level 42 or something?
b) Will my information be helpful to other players?
Don't state the obvious. For example, don't make a 5-liner guide stating "If you want to make gold, go kill mobs and sell what you find. Try to sell things at the AH at the highest possible price". Seriously, who needs such a guide?
In short, try to write a guide about something most people don't already know.
2. Once you've chosen the topic of your guide, don't start writing yet, check the following things first:
a) Did someone already write a guide on this topic? Browse the Guides library to find out.
b) Is someone currently working on a similar project? Check the Needed Guides list to find out.
c) If someone already wrote a guide on this topic, ask yourself this question:
3. Create your guide, put it in the right category and start working on it:
You don't have to write and publish your guide in one day, nobody actually cares for an unfinished guide. So if your guide is not finished, don't publish it, choose the "Work in Progress" option before you submit it.

Only you and the admins will be able to see your guide then, until you decide to publish it. Your draft will be easily accessible on the right side of the page. This is how it looks for me:

As you can see, I have a lot of projects going on at the same time and I'm not publishing any of them until they are finished.
Once you're done writing your guide, there are still things you should do to make it worth being published. Please read on.
Run your whole guide through a spell checker. It's easy, just copy the whole text into a word document or in your e-mail program and use the "Check Spelling" option, correct everything and then put the corrected text back in your guide.
==Note== Please do an effort with this. Use proper capitalization, spell the words entirely, nobody likes to read guides full of "ur" "u" "kthx", etc. It doesn't take that much time to write "you", "your" or "you're", and your guide will be of much higher quality if you do this effort.
This is the most important part. Nobody likes to read a big wall of text. You need to add paragraphs, colors, titles, bold text, italic.
For that, you need to use BBcode. It's actually very easy and quick, thanks to a nice little tool I use. It's a Firefox addon called "Text Formatting Toolbar". Here is the link to download it:
If you don't have Firefox, I suggest you download it and install it anyway. It's free and it's better than Internet Explorer. You can still use Internet Explorer as your main browser, even after you install Firefox. Just type "Firefox" in Google, it will be the first search result.
Once you have installed it, you'll have the following toolbar on top of your browser:

As you can see, I'm using it right now as I'm writing this guide. It's extremely easy to use, just like a normal text editing program, you just have to select the text you want to format and then click on the icon.
Now tell me, would you rather have this version of my guide:

Or the one you're currently reading?
I think the answer is clear and it shows how much of an improvement a little bit of text formatting can bring to a guide.
Images are also a nice addition to any guide. Of course, you must not add images for the sake of adding images. They must have a purpose, they must illustrate your content and if possible, make it easier to understand your guide.
Simply go to "File Attachments" and attach the image of your choice:

Once the image is uploaded, copy the link to it:

Then paste the link in your guide, add the following BBCode tags around it:
You can also add the img tag with one click thanks to the text formatting toolbar:

And there you go.
If you are STILL having troubles to upload images, please check this short guide: Nilz' Image Uploading Guide .
==Note== Images must be saved in .JPEG format before you upload them on wow-pro and they must not be too big. The max width of an image should not exceed 600 pixels and if possible, you should try to keep them below 400 pixels. Try to keep the images as small as possible. Images that are too big take a long time to load, take too much space and actually make your guide harder to follow and to print.
7. Seperate your guide into parts
It's quite easy, simply enter the following code and it will add an horizontal ruler. It's great to split your guide into different parts. Here's the code:
First, find the item on wowhead. Copy the URL.
Then simply write down the name of the item in your guide (it doesn't even have to be the name of the item, it can be anything really).
Select that text and click on the "Add code to format text as link" button on the text formatting toolbar (assuming that you have it).
Then simply paste the wowhead URL in the window that pops up.
Example:
If you don't have the text formatting toolbar, the code is:
[url = http://www.wowhead.com/?item=39769] Super Cool Weapon [ /url ]
(without the spaces of course)
9. Creating a Table of Content
Jiyambi wrote a very nice guide on how to create a Table of Content. You can't go wrong with it (I used it for this guide
). Here is the link:
Creating a Table of Contents
And that's it!
Once you feel that your guide is ready to be published, change the Guide Status to "Finished"!
I've covered this topic in details in one of my blog articles as well, I encourage you to read it if you want to know why it is important to follow these guidelines.
If you have any other questions or suggestions regarding guide writing, please read our FAQ. If you don't find an answer there, please leave a comment here and I'm sure someone will answer you quickly.
This guide was originally started by me to allow me to try and keep some consistency in the colours of my reputation levels.
I stole a few colours from people (by eye) if they fitted my system and I liked them and now I've decided to publish it, I hope those people don't mind. Credit in the guide.
This system is far from perfect, and there are a few near clashes. I hope it will help people with picking colours, though.
PS, if you haven't already, have a browse of Jame's Guide Writing Guide, and download the firefox formatting toolbar!
If anyone thinks they have a better shade of any of the colours listed below, please comment
And also if you think you have something that matches the colours shown here better than mine.

Back to the topI'm sure some of you have seen guides which have a table of contents with links in them. Some examples include my Tree Healing Guide and Shikamaru's Eternal Farming Guide. For long guides with multiple parts, these tables of contents (or ToCs, for short) are extremely useful for quickly navigating between sections of the guide. They can also be used to navigate between guides split up into separate chapters. This guide will show you how to create interactive ToCs for your guides.
A quick note: in the code shown in this guide, some parts need to be replaced by code specific to your guide. These parts will appear in green.
Let's start off with an example - the ToC for this guide!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Either of these methods will work for BOTH a "wiki" (group) page OR a "guide" (single editor) - you can use the wiki formatting even if it is a solo editor page, and you can choose not to use it on a group page.
BBCode
BBCode is the default option for WoW-Pro's input format. It is a type of code used on many online forums. Through BBCode, you can use many common HTML tags, but it keeps users from seriously messing up page layouts with bad HTML. You can get a lot of custamizability out of pure BBCode (for example, the only non-BBCode things in my Tree Healing Guide are the ToC links), but this input format is even better because WoW-Pro lets you use HTML as well - but only when BBCode is the input format, NOT when you use Mediawiki.
Essentially: A large amount of custamizability and the ability to use HTML, with the drawback of somewhat complicated and ugly code and the potential to mess up page layouts with bad HTML.
Mediawiki
Mediawiki is the code language used on most wikis, such as Wikipedia and Wowwiki. However, the Mediawiki available on WoW-Pro is a little more limited than on many wiki sites, since WoW-Pro is not a full wiki. In addition, you cannot use HTML if you chose Mediawiki as your input format.
Essentially: Sacrifices custamizability for easy to read and easy to write code.
Using Mediawiki to make a ToC is very easy, so we'll cover it quickly in this section. For an example guide with a wiki ToC, see the Loot Distribution Systems guide. For a cheat sheet of common Mediawiki code, see this page.
First, you must have your input format set to Mediawiki. The input format options are found just below your guide's main content textbox when you edit your guide. It is minimized by default - click the arrow to maximize it.
Next, you need to tell your guide where you want the ToC. Simply place the following code wherever you want the ToC in your guide:
Finally, you need to tell the ToC what to list. You do this by using equal signs around your section headings throughout your guide:
===Subheading===
====Sub-sub heading====
Each of these will be added to your ToC automatically, and it will also automatically format your section headings.
As mentioned above, BBCode and HTML allow a lot more customization at the expense of ease of use. See this page for some basic BBCode formatting information to help with the rest of your guide.
First, you must have your input format set to BBCode. The input format options are found just below your guide's main content textbox when you edit your guide. It is minimized by default - click the arrow to maximize it.
Next, you need to make the ToC itself. This is significantly more complicated than in Mediawiki. But, you can also make it look however you want!
I'll teach you how to make a simple ToC, but you can modify the formatting to suit your style. Please note that to format text that is a link, you need to put the formatting tags inside the link tags.
To make your ToC, start by making a numbered list. Use the following tag to start and end your list:
This is how you start and end your list. To put a numbered item on your list, simply use the following tag at the start of the line you want to add:
This should be all you need to create a list like the one at the top of this guide. However, it won't have any links in it yet.
Next, we need to make the anchors that will let you link to parts of your guide. Time for a little HTML vocabulary.
An anchor tag always starts with a, for anchor. An anchor tag is usually used to make a link - it's used to reference an anchor, usually another page. In this guide, we'll learn to add anchors inside our page, and then reference those anchors.
First you will learn to add the anchors. In your guide, find a section you would like to link to. Right above that section, you will add an anchor:
Choose a shortened name for the section - no users will see it, so don't worry about it being perfect. Make sure it is all lower case with no spaces. Also, make sure you add the closing </a> tag, otherwise the code won't work and may mess up your page.
Now that you have your anchors created, you can link to them from your ToC. Simply add <a href> tags to your already-created list as follows:
Make sure you include the # at the beginning of your anchor's name - this tells the browser that the anchor is in this page.
That's all you need to know to make a basic list!
This can be useful if your guide is broken into several chapters. Linking to other pages is very easy - you don't even have to use HTML, just the basic BBCode. Here is the code to link:
Also useful if your guide is in multiple chapters, this lets you link to specific anchors in other pages. First, make sure you have the anchors set up in the other page. Then, simply use the same type of link as for anchors within your main guide, except instead of just the #, use the other page's url:
For large guides, it is really nice to be able to click a quick link to return to the ToC at the top of the guide. You can very easily do this by creating an anchor above your ToC, then add a simple link referencing that anchor at the end of each section.
Example anchor:
Example end of section link:
You can even add a little up arrow as a link to the top, along with the words (or without them if you like).
Example with words:
Now you should know enough to make ToCs for your guides! Feel free to leave a comment with suggestions for improvements, questions, or corrections.
This guide is designed to teach you to create maps (and any other graphic) using the free image editor, GIMP. GIMP is a lot like Photoshop, though not as smooth or polished, but it is free. It allows you to do many nifty things like transparency, shadow, and outlines.
The GIMP page is a wiki. Feel free to add any useful tips!
For those unfamiliar with HTML a good site to check out is www.w3schools.com, there is a link that says Learn HTML on the top left.
First things first! Tags! Tags! TAGS! Pay close attention to your tags. You need an opening tag and a closing tag. Your tags will be surrounded by Angle Brackets < and >. Now you could just drop a table right into your guide but CSS has issues with doing that, or at least it does here. I'm still a novice when it comes to XML and CSS coding so bear with me. Its safer to start AND end your table with an html tag.
Example: < HTML > and < /HTML >
NOTE: When you create your tags there will be no spaces inside the tag, I have to do that here so you can actually see them. Please look at the whiteboard on w3schools.com for a proper representation.
Our opening tag is < HTML > and our closing tag is < /HTML >. The tags are identical except for the forward slash in the ending tag. So your tags will always have a mate, be sure you always have a closing tag! Next comes the BODY tag. The body is what it is, the meat and potatoes or your document.
Example:
<HTML> <BODY> </BODY> </HTML>
Everything will go inside your HTML tags and your displayed material will be inside your BODY tags.
Example:
<HTML> <BODY> HI! This is my website. What do you think? </BODY> </HTML>
Now try not to get discouraged here, coding is a simple thing. These will be the only HTML tags you will need while building your table. The next set of tags will be a little more complicated but fairly simple. These will be your TABLE tags.
Example:
<HTML> <BODY> HI! This is my website. What do you think? Here is a table.<BR> <TABLE> </TABLE> </BODY> </HTML>
Now, here is where CSS and HTML start to disagree. You'll note that I've added in a tag that I haven't talked about, < BR > is a line break tag and is similar to you hitting Enter on the keyboard. So why not just hit enter? HTML does not recognize word processing line breaks so you have to use the line break tag < BR >. I already have several of these tags listed here but you won't see them at work.
Back to our table. As you create your table you will have to define several things. First are borders. If you do not define the border size you will have a nice neat table but no dividing lines.
Example:
| Col1,Row1 | Col2,Row1 | Col3,Row1 |
| Col1,Row2 | Col2,Row2 | Col3,Row2 |
If you wish to create dividing lines you will need to define the border size in your opening TABLE tag.
Example:
< TABLE BORDER="1" >
| Col1,Row1 | Col2,Row1 | Col3,Row1 |
| Col1,Row2 | Col2,Row2 | Col3,Row2 |
Now I know I said to never put spaces in your tags, but there will be a few exceptions. Make sure to leave a space between each definition in your tag, such as the one between TABLE and BORDER in the opening table tag.
The BORDER definition tells the browser to load a table border width of 1, a single pixel line usually. You can certainly go higher and you can do some pretty fancy things with your table borders that I will not go in depth here.
Now if you've seen my blacksmithing guide you'll note there is a light gray underline at the top of my table and the text is in bold. This is done by adding a HEADER tag.
Example:
| Header1,Col1 | Header2,Col2 | Header3,Col3 |
|---|---|---|
| Col1,Row1 | Col2,Row1 | Col3,Row1 |
| Col1,Row2 | Col2,Row2 | Col3,Row2 |
By now you're probably like WHOA NOW! How did you even create the Columns and Rows, you're talking headers and such, I'm so lost! Fret not. Your ROW tags are like BODY tags, everything in that row will be contained within the ROW tag. A ROW tag looks like this: < TR > and a closing tag of < /TR >
Example:
< HTML ><br> < BODY ><br> HI! This is my website. What do you think? Here is a table.< BR ><br> <TABLE BORDER="1"> <TR> <TD> I'm ROW 1!</TD> </TR> </TABLE> </BODY> </HTML>
| I'm ROW 1! |
You're probably wondering what's up with that < TD > tag? That is essentially how we create columns. The < TD > is a Table Data tag. Each time you ad a new < TD > tag you create a new cell of data. You want to make sure that you keep a static number of DATA tags or you will end up with blank cells.
Example:
| Col1,Row1 | Col2,Row1 | Col3,Row1 | |
| Col1,Row2 | Col2,Row2 | Col3,Row2 | Col4,Row2 |
| Col1,Row3 | Col2,Row3 | Col3,Row3 |
Blank cells aren't the end of the world, but at least your columns are still even. And that is nearly everything.
All we need now are some headers and you're golden. Header tags are simple: < TH > just means Table Header. You can use these to define a bold text and a different shaded underline.
Example:
| Header1,Col1 | Header2,Col2 | Header3,Col3 |
|---|---|---|
| Col1,Row1 | Col2,Row1 | Col3,Row1 |
| Col1,Row2 | Col2,Row2 | Col3,Row2 |
And you're done! Hopefully I've made this easy enough. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer them in a timely manner as always.
Example:
| I'm huge! |
<html> <body> <table border="1" width="100%"> <tr> <td>I'm huge!</td> </tr> </table> </body> </html>
Example:
| I'm tiny! |
<html> <body> <table border="1" width="10%"> <tr> <td>I'm tiny!</td> </tr> </table> </body> </html>
As I was looking at Jame's Guide Writing Guide I noticed a lot of questions about images and why they weren't working and such. To me, it seemed that Jame was doing his best to answer all the questions but it looked very frustrating to keep answering the same question over and over again So, I have decided to write a focused guide on images only, to help those you are having trouble (just like I did, as a matter a fact)
.
So you've decided to write a guide that will be awesome ...at least it would have been if you get those GOD-BEEPIN IMAGES TO JUST UPLOAD ON THE BEEPIN BEEPIN WEBSITE. Well first things first, you need a picture, once you have that go down to the bottom of the screen and click File attachments then click browse and find your picture. After you have done this you have to copy the html code that is under your picture. Once this is done you click the icon for adding pictures on your text formatting toolbar or you type in [ img] your.link.goes.here [/ img] (without the spaces). and click preview. But then something happens. This shows up instead of your picture:
[img]http://wow-pro.com/files/Image'Guide.JPG[/img]
In order to fix this you need to go back to your picture file and rename it without any special characters or spaces. So it looks more like this:
[img]http://wow-pro.com/files/ImageGuide.JPG[/ img] (without the space).
Then once that is done you have to Submit your guide (still as work in progress) first then go back to your draft and hit Preview and your picture should be up.
Now you may want to edit a picture to make it better or add lists, etc. there several different image editing programs out there and couple would be GIMP (just google the download) or Microsoft paint, however my favourite is Picnik.com which is completely free and is really easy to use and can do some pretty cool things. However it is all up to you.
Sometimes, in your guide, you will want to add screenshots which is just a shot of your screen as you see it. You can take screenshots by simply pressing the Print Screen button on your keyboard. it may also be called PrtSc so just press this button and then open up your picture using any picture editor. If you use this while not on WoW then while on your picture editing program just paste (either CTRL - V {command - V for you mac users}or [edit - paste]). If you took the screenshot on WoW then just find it in your screenshot folder (i couldn't find the folder
) or just paste into the picture editor. After you have gotten the picture into your picture editor ten just crop out the unimportant stuff and viola! Save as a JPEG and then upload it into wow-pro.
That is really all there is to it
!
P.S if you want to not show the links to your pictures at the bottom of your guide then simply uncheck the list box in your file attachments.
P.P.S sometimes the file attachments box will be minimized which can make it hard to find but this is where it found when minimized (I.e. right above the preview and submit buttons)

Another frequent mistake I see is that your image will NOT SHOW UP if you just click "preview" when you first upload it. The image doesn't actually upload until you click "Save" the first time. So if your image doesn't show up at first, that could very well be the reason. *Jiyambi*

Guides on how to complete Achievements, written by the wow-pro community.
Brewfest is a WoW holiday that takes place in late September. It is somewhat similar to the Earthly Oktoberfest, celebrating beer, food, and good times.
In WoW, the Brewfest event includes some silly games, lots of special beer and food, vanity pets, mounts, and a seasonal boss. There is also an hourly event outside the main capital cities for both factions, in which players must defend the Brewfest festivities from the Dark Iron dwarves. In addition, you may be able to get your hands on a special item that will transport you directly to the bar in Blackrock Depths, allowing for all sorts of old world fun.
This guide aims to take you through the events, items, and achievements associated with this fun holiday. Read on for your full Brewfest coverage!
Note: This guide is based on information from Brewfest 2008. It will be updated as information for Brewfest 2009 becomes available. Please leave a comment if you notice any discrepancies.
At 6:15 AM and 6:15 PM server time, a short ceremony takes place on the Brewfest grounds. Anyone in the area will receive the Brewfest Enthusiast buff, granting a 10% XP increase for 2 hours. While not as easy to aquire as the Midsummer XP boost, this could still be useful for those leveling alts.
One of the main goals of this holiday is to accumulate [Brewfest Prize Tokens]. This is primarily accomplished through the ram racing mini game. These tokens will be used to purchase most of the fun Brewfest gear that are needed for the holiday's achievements.
Since the ram racing mini game is different for the two different factions, I will be discussing the specific routes and quests separately. However, I'll go over the mechanics of the game here.
Overall goal:
How to do this:
Using the [Ram Racing Reins]:
/use Ram Racing Reins
Ram speeds and their effects:
Ram fatigue, exhaustion, and how to avoid it:
Apple buckets will be sprinkled along the path of your delivery. The faction specific guides below will show where these buckets are and which ones you should hit for maximum delivery efficiency.
What's so important about being efficient in ram racing?
Of course, if you don't care about all that, just relax and have fun with the ram racing!
General efficiency tips:
For more tips and strategy, check out WoWiki's Ram Racing Tips.
Alliance
Opening up the ram racing quests:
The opening quest is very simple and simply requires that you use the [Ram Racing Reins] to get your ram to move at each of the different speeds for a few seconds each.
Alliance players should be able to get around 16 deliveries, for a total of 32 extra tokens each race.
Based on comments on Wowhead and WoWWiki, the best route for Alliance players appears to be as follows:
Route and strategy:
From the start, head directly to the barrel by the west side of the road by the small house. Go straight through here and run directly up the hill behind it.
At the top of the hill aim for the base of the barrel thrower. He has a huge range, so be ready to use the camera tricks described above to reverse directions fast. Head back to the house on the west side of the road and the barrel there.
After you are refreshed by that barrel, turn northeast. Aim for the left side of the sign post for the barrel on the east side of the road. Once refreshed, head towards the barrel catcher. Use the camera tricks to quickly reverse directions once you have delivered the barrel, which should happen right as you pass the tall flag in front of the tent.
You won't be heading back to the signpost barrel, instead continue just like you did at the beginning and head to the barrel by the house. After that, simply repeat the course.
For more detailed information and other possible strategies, check out WoWiki's Ram Racing Tips.
Horde
The opening quest is very simple and simply requires that you use the [Ram Racing Reins] to get your ram to move at each of the different speeds for a few seconds each.
Horde players should be able to get 10-12 deliveries, for a total of 20-24 extra tokens each race.
Based on comments on Wowhead and WoWWiki, the best route for Horde players appears to be as follows:
Route and strategy:
After you hit that basket, keep going until you get the keg thrown to you (you'll see the chat message when he throws it, rely on this if there are multiple people running the race since you can't always tell who he throws to). Use the camera tricks described above to turn quickly (IGNORE the basket behind the thrower). Run back to the basket between the rock and wall.
Once you're fatigue resets, continue on off-road to the keg thrower. I usually have to run right on top of him to get the keg to throw - you'll know when it throws because you'll receive two tokens. Take a sharp right turn, head straight through the tent and hit the apple barrel right behind it. Turn right again and jump over the fence (not always necessary but it doesn't hurt to do it and it keeps you from getting hung up on a post).
You should now be back where you began, just repeat this and you can easily get 10 and possibly as many as 12 or 13 runs.
For more detailed information and other possible strategies, check out WoWiki's Ram Racing Tips.
The second mini-game for the Brewfest holiday also involves rams, but it's significantly easier than the ram racing game. For the barking daily quest, you need to ride your ram around the capitol city and visit each of four different specific areas. When you enter that area, your character will automatically yell advertisements for the brewery you are barking for.
Each completion of this daily quest will reward 15
, which can be turned in for prizes. See the Seasonal Items section below to see what you can buy.

Every half hour, Dark Iron dwarves will show up and attack the festivities outside Orgrimmar and Ironforge. Successfully defending against these attacks (by throwing beer mugs) will allow you to pick up (and turn in) a daily quest which awards 10
. This is also the objective of the Down With The Dark Iron achievement.

Tip! Turning off the "Full Screen Glow" effect in your video options should stave off the blurriness from being drunk, allowing you to see and navigate much better.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You do NOT have to do the pre-quest in order to summon Coren, and you also don't have to do it to pick up the keg he drops.
Coren Direbrew has been upgraded and tuned for level 80 players for the 2009 Brewfest. The items he drops have also been improved, and those will be added here when they become known. In addition to dropping some useful gear, he also drops two fun trinkets involving brewmaidens, a remote control that will take you to the Blackrock Depths bar at any time, any where, and two seasonal mounts, the Brewfest Kodo and the Brewfest Ram.
Like most seasonal bosses, Coren Direbrew can be summoned once per day by each person in the party. The quest chain to summon him is as follows:

/use Dark Brewmaiden's Brew
Focus on Coren, for the most part. Make sure everyone stays out of his melee range to avoid the disarm effect.
As long as everyone is careful about removing the brew when they get it, Isla and be safely ignored when she pops up.
Ursula needs to be dealt with in one of two ways. The easiest way is to have the DPS burn her down rapidly. Alternatively, a hunter or warlock pet can off tank her. Since she will only barrel the highest thing on her threat list, this will keep the tank from getting barreled. Regardless, the tank should not touch Ursula.
The smaller adds should be AoEd down when they appear, until Coren is below 30%. After that they spawn fast enough that it is more effective just to burn Coren and ignore the adds.

Collecting [Brewfest Prize Tokens]
Note: If you want to complete all the achievements associated with this holiday in one year, you'll need to collect a total of 350 tokens, or 550 if you plan on keeping the clothes.
You can receive tokens in the following ways:
All of these are described in more detail in their specific sections above.
Item List
Note on Brewfest Tokens: To complete all Brewfest achievements from scratch, you will need to earn 350
, or 550 if you plan on keeping the clothes. Theoretically you can earn up to and over 1000, so this shouldn't be too difficult, as long as you log on regularly to complete the dailies and do decently well with the ram racing. 100
are earned through initial quests. For Horde, around 65 are likely per day if you ram race twice and are pretty good at it. Alliance might earn 105 a day based on the same criteria.

During the quests, lightly kill as many Skettis Kaliri, Skettis Arakkoa, Monstrous Kaliri and Talonsworn Forest-Rangers who give 5, 10, 10 and 30 reputation respectively, as you can.
Go to Shattrath City.
Find Yuula 63, 42 next to the Flight Master. She has a nether ray mount near her. Get Threat From Above:250rep
Go to Terokkar 19,13 and kill 20 Gordunni Ogres (any one). Watch out for wandering elites, and Slaag is a 139k lvl 70 elite if you are thinking of engaging him.
Return to Yuula. Turn in Threat From Above, get To Skettis!:10rep

Go to Severin 64.1, 66.8, and get World of Shadows:250rep.
Go to Skyguard Handler Deesak 63.1, 65.3 and get Hungry Nether Rays:250rep.
Head south, open the cage near warp monsters (hunters, stalkers et al) and kill warp monsters until the Nether Ray has eaten 10, and meanwhile kill Skettis until you have 6 Shadow Dust.
Back to Severin and turn in World of Shadows and receive Elixir of Shadows. KEEP ELIXIR. From now on, collect the Shadow Dust to turn in for the quest More Shadow Dust:150rep repeatable. It is a turn-in quest, so you do not have it in your log.
Find Deesak and turn in Hungry Nether Rays.
Fly to the tops of the Skettis platforms and you will see eggs.. use your bombs (AoE targetting) and destroy 20 eggs, but try and do them around these locations: (60,75), (75,86), (68,71) until you see a quest on the mini-map. Land and clear the platform, take the quest Escape from Skettis:150rep from the prisoner. Escort from one platform to another, then to the ground. There is one ambush in addition to the regulars in the area.
NOTA BENE: Starting with these quests, you will be annoyed by Monstrous Kaliri. They will try and knock you off your mount, and/or pick a fight. Land ASAP or go over water to assure you are not killed. Some people recommend skimming low then vertically to the upper platforms, bomb and then descend vertically. Its a good way to avoid being killed if you are just level 70 and attracting mobs.
Return to Doryn to turn in To Skettis! and Escape from Skettis

** Ishaal should drop a book, right click it to begin Ishaal's Almanac:75rep.
When all three talon priests are dead, go to Sky Commander Adaris, turn in Secrets of the Talon Priests, and Ishaal's Almanac, then get An Ally in Lower City:75rep.
Cash in More Shadow Dust to Severin for every 6 more you have. Start piling up the elixir.
Off to Shattrath. This is just a junket without any meaning. Seek Rilak the Redeemed about 51,20. Cash in An Ally in Lower City, and get Countdown to Doom:75rep.
Back to Skettis and Sky Commander Adaris to cash in Countdown to Doom.
The prisoner Hazzik 64.2,66.9 will call you over and you can get the next quest, Hazzik's Bargain:75rep.
Find the box in his hut 75,80 and return to Hazzik. Turn in Hazzik's Bargain and get A Shabby Disguise:150rep.
Go near the vendor's hut at 67,79 and don the disguise. Buy the item, Adversarial Bloodlines, from the vendor.
(Hint: Have 3g with you to purchase it.)
Return to Hazzik, turn in A Shabby Disguise, and get Adversarial Blood:350rep.
There are, in fact, two quests Adversarial Blood. You have the first one that requires you kill four summoned nasties. They each drop a saleable quest item (as well as other drops, usually a blue each): DO NOT sell or throw away the item. To be specific they are: Akkarai's Talons, Karrog's Spine, Gezzarak's Claws, Vakkiz's Scale. The second quest is a turn-in of all four of the items, and gives the same 350rep. The quest name at the turn-in, Hazzik's cage, is now called Tokens of the Descendants. If you look these quests up in wowhead you will find both names, which may seem confusing but is historically accurate.
Both quests reward you with an "Offering" that can summon Terokk, more on that later.
To summon each of the four nasties, you need 10 Time-lost Scrolls (You have been saving them, right?), that only drop from Time-lost Skettis, that you can only see when under the influence of the Elixir, that you can only get from turning in Shadow Dust. (whew)
After the first time through this, it will get easy. The next part is similar to the Talon Priest quest. Head south from the Skyguard Base and take out the two guards at the bottom of the ramp, then pop an elixir. Clear the area around the summoning circle, then up the ramp, do the platform, cross the bridge to to the next platform. You will kill about 11 Skettis and 10 Time-Lost Skettis, for 210rep and about ~3 Shadow Dust and ~4 Time-Lost Scrolls. Go to the next set of platforms and repeat. You can keep moving down the valley or go back to the first, depending on the number of other people doing these quests.
Aside: It has been written that you only need 40 Time-Lost Scrolls, complete the quests and put any extra scrolls on the AH. These people either did not get to Exalted or did it the hard way.
Turn in Shadow Dust for more elixir. Pop the elixir and kill all until you have 40 scrolls. Go to a pile of bones in a summoning circle, and summon one of the 4 descendants. You may need a group depending on your level. Form your group according to your needs. If you summon one and fail, you will lose the scrolls. Much has been written about the descendants, and here is a favourite from Kalaka on wowhead.
Karrog: Approx. 73,000 hp. Hits for about 1900-2500 on cloth. 'Fixates' on a target, drastically reducing his move speed and increasing his damage to about 5500 on cloth. When he fixates, just kite and damage him, no healing should be needed if you just run (he walks REALLY slow).
Gezzarak the Huntress: Approx. 59,000 hp. Hits for about 1500 on cloth. Casts 'warped armor' debuff, reduces armor to 0. Will 'focus' on a target, then warp to them, dropping aggro.
Darkscreecher Akkarai: Approx 47,000 hp. Does a frostbolt attack, 2.5 second cast, for around 1000 frost damage. Every few frostbolts, he will do a fire blast for around 1600 fire damage. Will also summon adds around every 20 seconds. They come 3 at a time, they are birds that don’t hit for much, have about 5000 hp.
Vakkiz the Windrager: Approx. 59,000 hp. Hits for about 1500 on cloth. Does a chain lightning with around 2000 initial damage for the first 50%. At 50% hp he switches to a bone form, and begins to cast 'Bone Spray'. Initially hits cloth for around 500. Each time he attacks, it adds a stack to a debuff he puts on you which increases damage taken by 5% per stack. He casts this around every 2 seconds. Save all your cooldowns for 50%.
Each descendant will get you 100rep. When you have completed all four, you are ready to turn in Adversarial Blood. But with the 4 dropped items mentioned above you can turn in the quest a 2nd time for another 350rep.
In this quest you will kill 100 regular skettis and an equal number of ghost skettis to get the 40 scrolls. That is 2000rep. You turn in 4 (maybe more) sets of Shadow dust for another 600rep. You kill 4 descendants for 400rep. You turn in 2 quests for 700rep. All for a total of 2700 rep for this quest.
After turning in Adversarial Blood and Tokens of the Descendants, you will receive a "Time-Lost Offering" for each, get Terokk's Downfall:1000rep from Sky Commander Adaris. You need to go to the island in the middle of the lake, Terokk's Rest. From inside the circle use the Offering, and Terokk will appear. This guy is tough and the most important piece of info is that he becomes immune to damage at around 25%, but, also, around that time the Skyguard will drop flares and bombs. The flares mark the positions the bombs will drop. Pull Terokk to the blue flares until a bomb drops. The blue explosions will remove his shield. There is an announcement of the shield removal, so then "have at him". (A 75 warlock, and an 80 Holy Pally had to work a bit to kill him, so create your group depending on your level and abilities). He gives 500rep when killed.
Turn in Terokk's Downfall with Sky Commander Adaris, and reap your quest rewards.
To get to exalted without leaving Skettis, you need to do the dailies, and repeatables. Most guides talk about how many days you will need when you do the 2 daily quests at a total of 500rep. But what about the repeatables?
Each day you can do the 2 dailies, but you can also do the Tokens of the Descendants quest as many times as you want. And you can kill Terokk as many times as you have summoning jars. As well, you are turning in the Shadow Dust. All are repeatable and give rep.
The Flow:
1. Get Fire over Skettis daily
2. Bomb 20 eggs and get Escape from Skettis
3. Escort prisoner
4. Turn in the dailies
5. Repeat: {pop an elixir; kill all skettis;} until you have 40 scrolls
6. Turn in shadow dust whenever necessary for elixir
7. Defeat each of the descendants until you have the 4 quest items
8. Turn in Tokens of the Descendants and receive the "offering"
9. Summon and defeat Terokk: go to 5.
The Math:
Assuming you are able to kill the nasties, you can do Tokens of the Descendants and reap about 2350rep by: killing the skettis, turning in the Shadow Dust, and killing the descendants. Then summon and kill Terokk for 500rep. This should be accomplished in about 80 minutes. If you spent 4 hours a day, then you could feasibly get 500rep + 7550rep = 8050 per day (dailies + 3*(A. Blood as described above + Terokk)).
You can turbo-boost your reputation gains by getting into a group. Each kill gives each member of the group the reputation for the kill. You must stay fairly close together to do this. If two people are trying to achieve the same goals and they each do the kills and turn-ins, they each would earn in 4 hours about 13000 rep. Each would receive all the rep the other gets except for the dust and tokens turn-ins. You only get your own rep for those. Yes, you get the full descendant and Terokk kill rep! Hint: Kill the skettis individually but close enough together enough to earn rep, then take turns on the descendants as you have the scrolls.
The Time:
How long does it take? That is really up to the amount of time you can spend. Here is the breakdown.
You are close to or already friendly before Adversarial Blood (including dailies), and with the first time through Adversarial Blood and Terokk's Downfall at 4,200, it leaves 33,800 to exalted. Assuming the 4 hours a day (above) you can get to exalted in just over 4 additional days. If you only did the 2 skettis dailies it would take just over 69 days. So find a balance that suits you.
Testimonial: 75 DK Tank with 80 Healadin killed both types of Skettis, did 8 descendants, turned in 4 elixirs, and killed Terokk twice for about 5000rep total in 70 minutes. There were no quest turn-ins other than Tokens of the Descendants and More Shadow Dust. Both toons get the rep for the kills but only one got the turn-in rep. Thus, the 2nd toon received 1300 less rep. You can save on elixir use by having one toon spank the regulars whilst the other pops the elixir and takes out the time-lost. Both scroll and dust are tradeable and saleable.
From Mekhami on wowhead: "In order to unlock this quest, you must complete ALL the Ogri'la quests up until Relic's Emanation. You also must complete the quests, 'Our Boy Wants to be a Skyguard Ranger' and 'A Father's Duty'.
When you finish that quest line, the Bombing Run quest will open up."
You get some Skyguard rep from some of the Ogri'la quests, but not much until you can get the bombing run. But first, you need the The Mog'dorg questline and it is very tough requiring a good 5 person group for most of the quests. Remember Slaag at the top of the article... he is one of the mobs that needs killing.
If your sole aim is to be exalted with the Skyguard, do not go to Blade's edge. It takes far too much time to start getting Skyguard rep. But if you want to get the Ogri'la rep as well allowing you access to the bombing run and one of the Winter's Veil achievements... by all means, have a go.
There is an achievement for doing the bombing run in less than 2 minutes 15 seconds, Bombs Away. Perhaps it is doable with a regular flying mount, but save your frustration and do it with a fast flyer.
There is an outland cooking daily, Revenge is Tasty, that has all its requirements in Skettis. Check the daily with Rokk in the Lower City 61,15 each day before going to Skettis. You get a little more cash, and possibly a cooking recipe.
Blade's Edge quests and dailies.
This guide strives towards the most efficient completion of the For the Alliance! achievements. This guide tries to cover as many bases as possible, from organizing the raid to actually downing the city bosses. If you would like to see additions, have questions or find any errors, please leave them in a comment below.
What is the achievement and why do it? For the Alliance consists of downing 4 of the 5 Horde race leaders in their respective capitals: Thrall of Orgrimmar, Lady Sylvanas Windrunner of the Undercity, Cairne Bloodhoof of Thunder Bluff, and Lor'themar Theron of Silvermoon City. Note that the Troll racial leader, Vol'jin, is not needed for the achievement. The reward for doing all of this work is 5 different achievements and a Black War Bear mount that will be mailed to you immediately upon completion.
For these reasons, it is better to organize during off peak hours such as on weekdays, specifically in the morning or afternoon, for your raid.
For class composition you can play fairly loose. Having a very well geared main tank can make the whole endeavor much easier. The tank should not wear PVP gear but the standard PVE tank gear. Have tank lean for a survivability/stamina set versus a high threat set. Your tank needs to survive the city boss, an onslaught of adds and defending players. It is also crucial to have multiple tanks who are ready to take aggro at a moment's notice. The opposition will target your main tank since this is the easiest way to dismantle a raid. It can also be helpful for Sylvanas who often aggro dumps.
You can toy with the number of healers you bring. I've done it with as few as three, but its smarter to bring 4-6. This will lower your overall DPS, but the more healers you have the more leniency you give yourself against lag and PVP. Make sure they're actual healing assignments, preferably with at least two healers on the tank and everybody else on the raid. Holy Paladins and Discipline Priests are excellent tank healers, but any healer can do the job effectively. Likewise Holy Priests, Resto Shamans and Resto Druids make effective raid healers, but again any healer can do the job effectively. Healers need to watch for aggro, not only will players target them to dismantle the raid, but NPCs will also aggro because of the healing threat. It is hard for tanks to see everything that goes on in the chaos, so communicate when you have aggro and do your best to get it off of you if you can. Paladins and can for the most part getaway with PVE gear due to their high innate survivability, but other classes should wear their PVP gear.
For DPS the main goal is to take down the bosses as fast as possible, but priority number one is to protect tanks and healers. Failure contain the city defenders will wipe your raid every time. In particular, look for casters who attempt to hide from a distance and kill off your members. Area Effect attacks are excellent weapons for both you and your enemy. High AE damage classes can help clear out spawning guards and players on the raid. However, enemy players can do the same and put a large strain on your healers. If you see somebody attacking your raid, whether it be a tank, healer or DPS, stop attacking the boss and immediately deal with the threat by killing or crowd controlling them. A Priest's Psychic Scream is especially effective since it requires no targeting and hits multiple enemies at the same time. DPSers do not necessarily need PVP gear since they are not usually focused. If you can survive a few seconds of a player's attack then you should be fine.
The next choice is between Thunder Bluff and Undercity. Thunder Bluff is closer, but also the obvious choice. Thunder Bluff is easy to get to for the Horde, and with Patch 3.2 a portal from Orgrimmar to Undercity was added, making it much easier for Horde to change cities. However, I still recommend going to UC next because it is unpredictable and most people will not go that far out of their way. The choice is ultimately yours but buying yourself even a little bit of time goes a long ways when the heat is on you. It is also optimal because after you down Sylvannas in UC, its a tossup for Horde as to what city you go to next, Thunder Bluff or Silvermoon.
But ultimately, Silvermoon will be saved for last. This is because Silvermoon is as dead as a city can possibly be and in fact, many Horde probably don't know even know who the Blood Elf racial leader is.
This is a good strategy but by no means necessarily the best for your raid. Use your own intuition and knowledge of your server to customize your plan of attack. Be willing to improvise as you go and make changes as needed.

Hello all, and welcome to my Coins of Ancestry guide for the Lunar Festival. The purpose of this guide is to give detailed instructions on the location of every Elder required for the Lunar Festival achievements, while also trying to keep the maximum distance traveled and time spent traveling at a minimum. The guide will be split up into three parts: Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, and Northrend.
In each section the elders found on that particular continent will be included, as well as the elders found in dungeons on that continent, and elders found in capital cities on that continent. Note that this guide is written for Horde players as I do not have an extensive knowledge of Alliance flight paths and such. An Alliance player could theoretically follow this if they simply substituted their own flight paths in place of the Horde ones.
All elders are friendly to all players. This means that horde players will be entering alliance territory and vice versa. Obviously, this means that it will be easier to complete these achievements on a PvE server, but it is possible on a PvP server. Because it is required to enter alliance towns/cities, I recommend anyone who follows this guide to be level 80. I wrote the guide as if a level 80 were doing it, and some of the elders might be impossible to get to at other levels. I have tried to include the coordinates and general geographic location of every elder in the guide, but at times it is not possible to include both.
I HIGHLY recommend installing a coordinate addon if you do not have one already as it will make your life easier. My personal favorite is “Koordinator” and can be downloaded at wow-curse.com
I use a color code during the guide, which is as follows:
• Cities/Towns are in Red
• Elders are in Dark Blue
• Coordinates are in Teal
Anyways, enough talk. On with the guide!
2. Take the flight path to Valormok, Azshara. Find Elder Skygleam near the Ravencrest Monument. (72,85)
3. Ride back to Valormok and fly to Everlook, Winterspring. Elder Stonespire will be located outside the bank.(61,37)
4. Mount up and take a ride to the Ruins of Kel’Teril. Find Elder Brightspear at 55,43.
5. Ride back to Everlook and fly to Bloodvenom Post, Felwood. Mount up and ride south to Jaedenar. Elder Nightwind is located at 37,52.
6. Ride back to Bloodvenom Post and fly to Zoram’Gar Outpost, Ashenvale. Ride east to the Alliance town of Astranaar, and find Elder Riversong in a gazebo in the center of town. (35,48)
7. Head west then north, following the path, until you enter Darkshore. Continue heading north until you find Auberdine. Locate Elder Starweave south of the gryphon master at 36,46. (He is on the beach, not in the town proper.)
8. When you’re ready, enter Auberdine. Yes, it is an alliance town, but it is also the only way to reach Teldrassil. Go to the docks of Auberdine, and go to the pier that is to your right as you are running down the docks. You will be attacked by guards, but they are low level and you should be fine. Wait for the boat (it usually takes forever) and board it. DO NOT attack the guards on the boat, as they will not attack you unless you attack them. If you are lucky, there won’t be any alliance on the boat and, if you’re even luckier, they won’t attack.
9. Take the boat until it drops you off in Rut’Theran Village. Make a mad dash to the purple portal on the rise. You should make it through without dying, and you will be in Darnassus. Head north, while trying to stay in the water, to the Cenarion Enclave. Find Elder Bladeswift at 33,14. If you die, it’s ok. Just rez right near your body and run to the elder. See following map.

10. Head east until you exit the city, trying to avoid the elite guards and giants. You will now be in Teldrassil proper. Head east down the road until you reach Dolanaar. Find Elder Bladeleaf at 56,60. If you are trying to get the explorer achievements, I would recommend exploring the rest of Teldrassil now to prevent the hassle of returning again.
11. Hearthstone to Orgrimmar. Exit Orgrimmar and head south to Razor Hill. Find Elder Runetotem at 54,44.
12. Go west from Razor Hill, entering The Barrens (enjoy Barrens chat during your stay!), and keep going west until you reach The Crossroads. Find Elder Moonwarden near the flight path at 51,30.
13. Fly to Ratchet, The Barrens. Find Elder Windtotem at 63,37.
14. Fly to Camp Taurajo, The Barrens. Find Elder High Mountain across from the Inn, at 45,57.
15. Mount up and ride west to Bloodhoof Village, Mulgore. You will find Elder Bloodhoof at 48,53 right next to Ahab Wheathoof and the bridge.
16. Ride north to Thunderbluff. Go to Elder Rise and find Elder Proudhorn.
17. Take the flight path to Shadowprey Village, Desolace. Set your hearthstone here. Head north to the Valley of Spears, and enter Maraudon. FindElder Splitrock using the map below. Hearth to Shadowprey Village when you are done.

18. Fly to Camp Mojache, Feralas. Head north to the Lariss Pavilion and find Elder Grimtotem at 76,37.
19. Go south back to Camp Mojache and then head west to Dire Maul. Go inside the building (not the instance) to the Dire Maul Arena. Find Elder Mistwalker at 43,67.
20. Ride east back to Camp Mojache and fly to Cenarion Hold, Silithus. Go to the moonwell right near the flight path and find Elder Bladesing. Go north west of Cenarion Hold to The Crystal Vale, and find Elder Primestone at 23,11.
21. Go back to Cenarion Hold, and fly to Marshal’s Refuge, Un’goro Crater. Ride south to the Slithering Scar and find Elder Thunderhorn at 50,76.
22. Ride east until you find the slope going up to Tanaris. Ride further east to The Valley of Watchers near Uldum. Find Elder Ragetotem at 36,80.
23. Ride north to Gadgetzan, Tanaris[/]. Find Elder Dreamseer in Gadgetzan.
24. Ride west to Zul’Farrak. Zone into Zul’Farrak and head to the pool where Ghaz’rilla spawns. Find Elder Wildmane there. See following map.

25. Exit Zul’Farrak and ride back to Gadgetzan. Head north from Gadgetzan and enter Shimmering Flats, Thousand Needles. Go to the Mirage Raceway and find Elder Morningdew at 79,77 near the start/finish line.
26. Ride west to Freewind Post and find Elder Skyseer at 45,48.
27. Congratulations on Elders of Kalimdor! Fly to Orgrimmar and take the zeppelin to The Undercity.
1. In The Undercity, find Elder Darkcore at 66,38. Fly to The Sepulchur, Silverpine Forest. Find Elder Obsidian at 45,41. Fly back to The Undercity.
2. Exit The Undcercity, and ride north to Brill. Find Elder Graveborn near the Inn, at 61,53.
3. Ride east and enter Western Plaguelands. Continue following the road east until you see Darrowmere Lake to the south. Cross the lake to Caer Darrow (the island) and continue up the path to Scholomance. Stand in front of the door that leads to the instance portal, and turn around. Go through that entry way, and continue all the way to the roof where you will find Elder Moonstike. (52,26)
4. Cross back over Darrowmere Lake, and continue north until The Weeping Cave. At 65,47 you will find Elder Meadowrun.
5. Continue heading east along the road until you reach Crow Guard Tower. There you will find Elder Windrun. (39,75)
6. Head even further east until you reach Light’s Hope Chapel. There you will find Elder Snowcrown. (81,60)
7. Go north from Light’s Hope Chapel, then west until you reach Stratholme. Enter Live Stratholme, head to King’s Square, then east. You should be in Festival Lane, and you should see Elder Farwhisper. See following map. If you do not have The Key to the City, you will not be able to go through the gate on the below map. head west instead, and around the path, careful to not enter the area of Stratholme with scarlet crusade mobs.

8. Exit Stratholme, using the Service Gate (if you have The Key to the City; if not, kill Magistrate Barthilas located at point B on the above map. He will drop the key that you can use at the service gate, marked A on the above map.) ride back to Light’s Hope Chapel, and fly to Revantusk Village, The Hinterlands. Head north from the village, until you find the path leading up. Head west across The Hinterlands and slightly south to get to The Creeping Ruins. Find Elder Highspeak at 50,48.
9. Ride back to Revantusk Village, and fly to Kragath, Badlands. Set your hearthstone here.
10. Mount up and ride east, then north until you enter Loch Modan. Head north, staying on the west side of the loch, until you reach Thelsamar. Find Elder Silvervein on the hill overlooking the graveyard. (33,46)
11. Head west from Thelsamar, and go through The Northern Gate Outpost to enter Dun Morough. Head west, then south until you reach Kharanos. Find Elder Goldwell at 46,51.
12. Head north from Kharanos until you reach Ironforge. Now, this part will be difficult. You are going to need to enter Ironforge and run to the Mystic Ward to find Elder Bronzebeard at 29,17. I would recommend taking off all your gear, then making a series of suicide runs into the city. See following map. Hearthstone to Kargath. If your hearthstone is not up, walk back to Kargath.

13. Fly to Thorium Point, Searing Gorge. Ride south until you find Blackrock Mountain, then west and up into the mountains. Find Elder Ironband in Blackchar Cave (you can see the cave icon on your map) at 21,78.
14. Ride east back to Blackrock Mountain, and enter it. Climb onto the chain to your left, and follow it to the large suspended rock in the center. Follow the stairs downward and out onto a ledge. Follow the ramp down some more, down another chain, and through an archway near a blood elf. Follow this path as it zigzags a bit and you will be in a large open area. Traverse this and enter Blackrock Depths. (I will be adding a map here shortly.)
15. Proceed east then north to the Ring of Law and find Elder Morndeep. Talking to him will start the Ring of Law event, so get ready to run out. See following map.

16. Exit Blackrock Depths the way you came. Go back to the chain we used to come down (the first one), and climb back up it. At the top, jump down. Head right from where you are and you should be going up an incline. At the top of the incline, you will see a balcony that you can jump on. Find the instance portal to Blackrock Spire in here. After you enter the instance, proceed forward, up the ramp. Head across the room until you encounter two small stairways. Take the one on your right, as you are facing the stairs. Make an immediate right at the top of the stairs, and jump down off the ledge. Hug the wall to the left and enter a passage which zigzags until you enter Hordemar City. Hug this left wall until you see a wooden bridge. Cross it to find Elder Stonefort.
17. Exit Blackrock Spire, go back down the chain, and proceed down the ramps of Blackrock Mountain to enter The Burning Steppes.
18. Head east to Dreadmaul Rock and find Elder Rumblerock at 82,46.
19. Head to Flame Crest (65,24) and find Elder Dawnstrider. Fly to Stonard, Swamp of Sorrows. Set your hearthstone here.
20. Ride west of Stonard, then south to enter The Blasted Lands. Follow the road south to The Dark Portal and find Elder Bellowrage at 57,54.
21. Ride back to The Swamp of Sorrows. Time for a bit of traveling. Mount up and ride west, through Deadwind Pass and Duskwood (avoiding the alliance town of Darkshire.) Enter Westfall and head south west to Sentinel Hill. Enter the large tower, and walk to the top to find Elder Skychaser at 56,47.
22. Jump down from the tower (or walk back down if don’t like your chances) and head north east to enter Elwynn Forest. Head east and enter the town of Goldshire. Find Elder Stormbrow at 40,63 behind the blacksmith shop.
23. Head north until you come upon Stormwind. You will need to go to the section of Stormwind called The Park. There, at 35,65, you will find Elder Hammershout. Once again, I recommend a series of corpse runs. See following map. Once you have talked to the elder, hearthstone to Stonard.

24. Head east of Stonard until you reach the lake, then swim across it until you reach The Temple of Atal’Hakkar. Proceed through it to get to the instance portal. Once in Sunken Temple, head left up the spiral staircase and go left around the circle to the first alcove on your left. Find Elder Starsong there. Proceed back to Stonard. Fly to Booty Bay, Stranglethorn Vale.
25. Jump off the balcony where the horde flight path is onto the roof of the bank. There you will find Elder Winterhoof at 27,74.
26. Exit Booty Bay, and proceed north until you reach Zul’Gurub. Proceed up the stair to the instance portal. At 53,18 you should find Elder Starglade.
27. Head west to Grom’Gol Base Camp, and take the zeppelin to The Undercity.

16. Fly slightly north west to Warsong Hold and find Elder Pamuya standing on a ledge above the quarry. (42,49)
17. Head further north west and find the Transistus Shield and Elder Northal at 33,34.

19. Keep flying north east to Rainspeaker Rapids and find Elder Wanikaya standing behind the Avatar of Freya. (63,49)
20. Hearth to Dalaran. If you’re lucky, Horde will have control of Wintergrasp and you can take the portal there and find Elder Bluehoof in the fortress. If Horde does not have Wintergrasp, log off and bake cookies or something until they do. Maybe Read War and Peace. Your choice.

The Midsummer Fire Festival is a great time for both leveling players and those at the level cap. Not only are the achievements fun and great for completists, these quests also provide a ton of gold. This guide for Horde players will get you every fire honor/desecration available. A paper version of the guide may be forthcoming, but for now you can download the guide in addon form.
Here is the full link:
As with other WoW-Pro Tour Guide files, you will need Tour Guide and TomTom or Cartographer to run this addon. The addon itself is self-contained and does not require the other WoW-Pro addons to run.
For more information about our addons, check out the Main Info Page for the addon. You can also find links to the supporting addons there.
Please post feedback here. The Northrend section in particular has not been playtested, so if you notice any mistakes, please post a comment.
One thing to remember while doing this is that, if you're desecrating a Horde fire, you will get flagged PvP. Just thought I'd warn you before you start.
Mages: you need alter some parts of this guide, after you've got the fire at Blood Watch, teleport to Darnassus, then get the Dolanaar fire, teleport back to Darnassus again, then go to Auberdine and on to Winterspring. Towards the end of the guide, if you know it, rather than flying from Thalanaar to Theramore, teleport instead.
Druids: i don't have a high enough level druid to test this, but Teleport Moonglade might speed up to travel from Blood Watch to Darnassus, then after Dolanaar, the time to get to Auberdine and Winterspring.
Ok. Lets start in Dalaran, portal to Exodar and head up the ramp and out of the city, then follow the path east until you find the fire just west of Azure Watch (44,53) now head back towards Exodar, and fly to Blood Watch, then head south out of town to the fire (55,69) go back to Blood Watch and fly back to Exodar, then head west and follow path to dock and hop on a boat to Auberdine.
When you get to Auberdine, head along the dock and through the inn. The fire is next to the platform that the flightmaster is on (37,46). Grab it then fly to Ruthe'ran Village and head into Darnassus. From the portal head east through the city and out into Teldrassil.
The easiest route is to follow path (or cut across country for those adventurous types ) to Dolanaar. The fire can be seen from the road, next to the inn (55,60). Get it then head back to the flightpath at Ruthe'ran Village and fly to Winterspring.
The 2 Winterspring fires are just north of the flightmasters, one for Alliance (northeast of town 62,35) one for Horde (northwest of town 59,35). With those 2 done, jump on a flight down to Forest Song, then head westwards towards Astranaar.
As you go past the Horde camp at Splintertree Post, desecrate their fire, it's right next to the path (70,69) then carry on to Astranaar. Just before you get to town you find the fire (37,54) again right next to the road. Head into Astranaar and fly to Stonetalon Peak.
Ok the next bit is quite time consuming due to the amount of running you now have to do, so mount up and head south, go around lake and continue south to Sun Rock Retreat. The fire is on the path between the hills before you get to the town (50,60) now go back north to the lake and take the path west and then southwards through Charred Vale and into Desolace then head east towards Nijel's Point, the fire is near base of ramp up to town (65,17). Turn and go southwest to the coast in the southwest corner of the map, southwest of the area where Maruadon is, is the Horde town of Shadowprey Village, and south of there, on the waters edge is the fire (26,76). Mount up again and this time go southeast, around the big crater and into Feralas.
Keep going south, on path and then head for dock and take boat (or swim, waterwalk etc) to Feathermoon Stronghold, the fire here is west of the town (28,43). Grab a flight to Cenarion Hold in Silithus, once there follow the paths east and west out of town to grab both the fires, again Alliance one to the east (57,34), Horde to the west (46,44). Once done fly to Gadgetzan, and get your walking boots on again as we now only have one flight left to take. Go east of town to the Alliance fire (52,29) then to the Horde fire to the west of town (49,27). Then go north into Shimmering Flats and onto 1000 Needles. Follow the path towards Freewind Post. Ok now look at picture below, go under this bridge, just before you get to Freewind Post lifts (you can see them to the right of picture) then turn right and grab the fire (42,53). Continue heading northwest through 1000 Needles, until you get to Feralas again.

Once you get to the border of the 2 areas, look left, there's the little camp of Thalanaar, you'll be coming back to there shortly, but 1st carry on into Feralas and follow the path to Camp Mojache. Now depending on your level, you can either charge through town, or go around it to the north, the guards are level 65. The fire is on the west side of town (72,47). If your a mage, teleport to Theramore from here.
Now head back to Thalanaar and fly to Theramore and head northwards along the path out of town, the fire is again right next to the path (62,40) and congratulations you've now done all the Alliance fires in Kalimdor, and have 6 Horde ones left including Thunder Bluff and Orgrimmar, now you have no choice but to run.
Continue to follow the path as it heads north, when it turns and heads south you'll come over a bridge, followed by 2 tents on your left, at the 2nd of these tents, turn and go directly west through the marshes, until you find Brackenwall Village, again level 65 guards here, so go around/through, the fire is just west of town (33,30). Then follow the path south and head out of Dustwallow Marsh and into The Barrens.
Once in the Barrens go north along path until you find one that goes west, then follow that into Mulgore, and on to Bloodhoof Village, again the fire is right next to the path (51,60), so can't be missed, get that one and carry on following the path, we are now going to Thunder Bluff.
The next part is easier to explain with pictures, so look at those below. Once you get to Thunder Bluff lifts, take the second one as you come up to them, then jump from lift platform, behind tents to the left You can see lift platform on the right, and the building we need to go through, with the guards (level 75) outside to the left of the picture, inside this building, there's a ramp on the left side, up to the bridge (seen in the second picture) across to Spirit Rise, if you aggro any guards they will lose interest by the time you get across this bridge. The fire is just up the top of the ramp from other end (20,26) as you can see in the 2nd picture, on the left side.

Now you need to get back to The Barrens, for speed, just jump off, yes you will die, that's the idea! (Hey! I am a suicidal 'lock after all!) res at Bloodhoof GY (it's about 1000yds away) then follow same path you came into Mulgore, back into The Barrens and go north again to Crossroads, the fire is on north side of town (52,28). Then carry on going north, and take the next path you see that goes east. Follow it across river to Razor Hill, the fire is south of the town (52,47). Ok that leaves us just one fire in Kalimdor - Orgrimmar.
Orgrimmar is the busiest of the Horde cities so, that's why, as you are more likely to die here more than anywhere else, mainly due to how far into the city the fire is, I've left it until last. From where you'll be going in, it's about 600yds, in a straight line, but we can't go straight, our path to it is "S" shaped.
From Razor Hill head northwest across country, until you find the river again, cross it, then follow it north, you'll soon see a bridge over the river into Orgrimmar, this is where you're going in, ok, you are going to aggro guards (again lvl75) here, unless you can stealth past them, what you don't want is to be stopping and fighting them, just run, get them off you as much as possible and try to steer away from collecting many more as dying here is annoying due to the corpse run being best part of 2000yds.
There might be a point where the path turns to the left, that you can get out of combat, heal as fast as possible and carry on following this path, past a bridge on your right, at the 2nd fire you come to on your left, there's a path around the back of a building opposite, go up it (there is a guard that patrols this path) the fire is in front of the building your behind (47,38) next to it is a tent.
Is this good? You ask. Well, you can jump onto this tent from the path behind the building, without aggro'ing anything around the fire. The only things you need to worry about from here are ranged killing you, or Deathkinghts pulling you off before you loot the fire. They say pictures paint a 1000 words, so to better explain some of these locations look at the following pictures.

Once you've got the flame, HS back to Dalaran (if you got killed, res at GY, then HS), well done you've got all the fires done in Kalimdor including the 2 Horde city ones...wasn't too bad was it
I've split this guide into 3 parts at the end of each you'll hearthstone to Dalaran, these parts can be done in any order you like
Mages: Remember to use your teleports to your advantage, and adjust the guide as required
_____________________________________________________________________
Part 1: From Dalaran, portal yourself to Stormwind, and head out of the city south to Goldshire, the fire is next to the inn (43,65), then head back to Stormwind and take a flight to Nethergarde Keep. Go out of town and head towards Swamp of Sorrows, the Nethergarde fire is just outside the town (58,17). Carry on north into Swamp and then head east, the fire at Stonard is just north of the town (47,47) Now run back to Nethergarde again, and fly to Duskwood. Once there take the road southwards out of town to find fire (74,51) then return to the flightmaster, and fly to Westfall.
The Westfall fire is right next to you when you land (56,54) grab it then fly on to Booty Bay. The 2 fires here are on the beach to the east of Booty Bay (behind the town). When you land, head out of town and turn right and head towards the beach, you’ll find them both next to each other (34,75) (33,75). Now go back into Booty Bay and fly to Redridge. The Lakeshire fire is just west of the flightmaster (24,59) get it then fly to Burning Steppes, head down the ramp out of town, the fire is at the bottom (80,62) then carry on heading northwest (about 1 minute run on epic ground mount) until you see the northern mountains of the area, the Horde fire is at the base of these mountains (62,29) in the area of Flame Crest. Once done go back to Morgan’s Vigil and take a flight to Thorium Point.
From where you land follow the mountains east, until you get to here.

Then turn south, and go along path until you find these 3 trees.

Turn east again up the path into Badlands, then north to the fire, which is just on the southern side of Kargath (4,49) and now hearthstone to Dalaran.
__________________________________________________________________________________
Part 2: From Dalaran portal to Ironforge and head out of the city down to Kharanos, you’ll see the fire just before you get to town (46,46) return to Ironforge and fly to Thelsamar in Loch Modan, the fire is just north along the path (32,40) now take another flight to Wetlands. Run out of town northeast across the bridge, the fire is just the other side (13,47) then head back and fly to Refuge Point in Arathi Highlands.
Take the northern path out of town, the fire is next to it (50,44) from here go east, across country until you find a path, follow this east to the Hammerfall fire (74,41) then go back to Refuge Point, and fly to Aerie Peak. Hinterlands is annoying due to how far you have to run, and at this point make sure your hearthstone is off cooldown or under 5 minutes, as you’ll be using soon, from the flight path run down the ramp and keep going in that direction to the fire (14,50) then head east and south to Jintha’alor, go past this area on the east side and down the ramp to the coast (Overlook Cliffs). Once at the bottom go south until you find the Revantusk Village fire (76,74) now hearthstone to Dalaran.
__________________________________________________________________________________
Part 3: From Dalaran portal to Ironforge, then fly to Hillsbrad, and head north for the Southshore fire (50,46) and further north following the paths for the Tarren Mill fire (58,25). Now you need to do a big loop through Hillsbrad, Silverpine Forest, Tirisfal Glades, ending up at Chillwind Camp in Western Plaguelands. Start by going west through Hillsbrad, following the path into Silverpine, past where Dalaran used to be. In Silverpine the path goes north, just stay on it, go past Shadowfang Keep, and Ambermill, then start looking for the fire on a path heading east from the main one you’re on towards The Sepulcher (49,38). Continue north into Tirisfal Glades and around to the front of Undercity.
Now you can do the Brill and Undercity fires in either order as both will flag you PvP. For the Brill fire head north, the fire is just to the west of the town. To get Undercity’s fire, go up the path leading into the city, the fire is just to your left as you enter the courtyard, there are no guards to worry about either. Once both of those are done follow the main path east until you get to Western Plaguelands, then head southeast to Chillwind Camp and the last Alliance fire (44,82).
From Chillwind Camp take a flight to Zul’Aman and go west on the path just to the north of where you land. Follow this path until you get to a T junction where you can go north or south, pick north. This path leads you to Tranquillen, and the fire is just north of the town (46,26) once you have it, carry on going north along the path. Keep following this path going north at any junctions you come to, in the end you’ll find the Northern Sanctum fire right next it (46,50). Congratulations you’ve now extinguished all the Horde fires in the Eastern Kingdoms. From here go east to the entrance to Silvermoon City.
As you enter Silvermoon go straight up the road in front of you and turn right at the end, any guards you have aggro’d will reset by the time you get there, and then go through Murder Row to the archway at the end. The fire is just through this archway on the left, as well as 4 guards (circled in the 3rd picture). If you need to lose them, run up and around the upper level of the fountain, then come back, grab the flame and hearthstone to Dalaran.

If you're here as horde, I must ask you to turn back, because i haven't done your guide yet, but don't fear, it will come in the future!
This is a guide for 5 Achievements combined (Tastes like chicken, To all the squirrels I've loved before, Friend or Fowl?, Old Crafty, The fishing diplomat)
1 Great proposal for those following the whole guide is to explore everything at the places I tell you to go! It will make it easier for you later when doing the exploration achievements!
For those of you who are leveling cooking or have finished the first Achievement already, just continue to the parts where the critters are.
I'm sorry to say there is no pictures because I couldn't get it to work, but it's no problem.
First of all, I wanna recommend an addon to make this easier, and that is mapcoords.
This guide actually requires level 65+ because some of the food requires 65 to eat (if you're doing the food part only, otherwise its 70+ because you will be entering Wotlk zones)
A quick teleport to Shattrath (HearthStone or Portal) will make things go smoother.
It will be much easier to finish though when you're level 80 because a lot more food will be available.
In this guide you will spend approximately 10~13g (if I counted wrong and you pay less/more, please tell me).
I will also tell you to start the secondary skill "Cooking" because it's very easy to get some easy food at start.
Start of by going to Stormwind. Depending on where in Stormwind you are, you can buy your cheese.
These are available to buy in the listed areas below:
Elaine Trias [Cheese seller] (SW harbor)
Ben Trias [Cheese seller] (66.5, 73.6 SW Trade district)
Alterac Swiss 40s
Dalaran Sharp 1,25s
Darnassian Bleu 25c
Dwarven Mild 5s
Fine Aged Cheddar 20s
Stormwind Brie 10s
/6 Pieces of food and you should have payed 76,5s in total.
Now make your way to the Trade district in SW if you didn't buy your cheese there.
You should find Thomas Miller walking around in the district. NOTE: He's a baker.
Thomas Miller [Baker] (walking around in SW trade district)
Freshly Baked Bread 1,25s
Homemade Cherry Pie 40s
Moist Cornbread 5s
Mulgore Spice Bread 10s
Soft Banana Bread 20s
Tough Hunk of Bread 25c
/6 Pieces of food available and you should have payed 76,5s (12 food and 1,53g spent in total)
Before making our way to the next city, we will visit a nice little inn, in a nice little village. YES! We're making our way to Goldshire.
Go straight to the trade supplies seller outside the inn Tharynn Bouden and get yourself some Flour and Mild Spices.
Then go slay some Boars and Wolves until you got at least 1 "Chunk of Boar Meat" and 10 "Stringy Wolf meat".
Now go into the inn and in the room behind the bar. There you will find Tomas.
He will teach you cooking and how to make Spice Bread, Charred Wolf Meat and Roasted Boar Meat.
Stand next to the fire and open up your profession book for cooking, and if you're level 65+ you should know how to do 1 Spice bread, 1 Roasted Boar meat and 9 Charred wolf meat.
After that talk to Tomas again and learn Spiced Wolf Meat. You should have the ingredients to make this now.
Now we're done with cooking.
Make sure you targeted and said /love to the critters listed below before leaving Elwynn Forest

Now, as the tram stops in IronForge, look around you for a gnome named Nipsy. He should be selling Deeprun rat kabob.
If not, just take his 2 (or 3) quests, which take about 5~10 min to finish, and you will get the kabob in reward.
And don't forget to /love a rat before leaving.
OK. As we're done in the Deeprun tram, we make our way into Ironforge.

After that, make your way to the east and enter Loch Modan and /love the critters listed below
- Ram
- Squirrel
- Sheep (If you missed it in Elwynn forest)
Now teleport to Shattrath City.
The first thing you should do in Shattrath is walking straight to 57.2, 22.0 and /love the Ewe you find there (it can't be found in another place).
Now make your way to the vendors listed below, just follow coords. Be aware that some of the coords lead up to either Scryer or Aldor, so make sure to go to the other coord.
- Brendan Turner (43.8, 67.9); (59.0, 68,6)
- Granny Smith (32.9, 29.7); (44.0, 67.9) ; (63.6, 68.4)

Ok, now we're done with the Taste of Chicken Achievement. Now we're gonna get the rest of the Critters.
You should have these so far:
- Cat
- Chicken
- Cow
- Deer
- Ewe
- Fawn
- Rabbit
- Ram
- Sheep
- Squirrel
10 done, 11 to go.
Remaining are:
- Hare (Durotar)
- Prairie dog (Nagrand, Mulgore, The barrens, Arathi highlands and Westfall)
- Steam frog (Borean Thundra)
- Parrot (Un'Goro Crater)
- Skunk (Terokkar Forest, Bloodmyst Isle, Azuremyst Isle)
- Borean Frog (Borean Thundra)
- Crab (Borean Thundra, Dragonblight, Ghostlands, Howling Fjord)
- Frog (Zangarmarsh, Eversong Woods, Ghostlands)
- Swine (The Barrens, Durotar)
- Gazelle (The Barrens)
- Toad (Nagrand, Darnassus, Wetlands, Eversong Woods, Teldrassil)
The best places to go to finish this quickly are:
Durotar (2 possible)
The Barrens (3 possible)
Zangarmarsh (1 possible)
Nagrand (2 possible)
Borean Thundra (3 possible)
Un'Goro Crater (1 possible)
Terokkar Forest (1 possible)
More info than this is useless, since critters are running all over the zones. All that's needed is some logical thinking like for an example Toad belongs to water, etc.
For the Achivement [Friend or Fowl?], Howling fjord is the place to do this. I'm not sure if there is turkeys in another place to be honest.
When you take the boat from menethil harbor, you will end up at vangarde keep. along the shore, there is a guy that can take you to explorers league by flight if you have done some certain quests. If you haven't just follow the road out of vangarde, and just head south until you reach the horde town New Agamand. From there just head east, cross the bridge and follow the road until you stand at a split road (69.0, 64.0). You should now see several Fjord Turkeys. Make sure you locate as many as possible before you start to make sure you finish the achievement
Good Luck
Now for the fishing achievements:
Old Crafty and The fishing diplomat are 2 special cases and requires at least level 72+ (to do it my way and to do it the easiest
)
Requirements to do it my way: Done with Veteran of the Wrathgate and not turned in and (not) finished Fate, Up Against Your Will. And according to some reliable fishing sources, a plus would be if you had the daily Crocolisk in the City.
Ok, here we go:
After obtaining the quest Reborn From The Ashes and just before you turn it in, I suggest you go make sure you got bait, fishing pole and the daily Crocolisk in the City with you.
Go turn in the quest at king wrynn and get the follow up Fate, Up Against Your Will.
Talk to the Lady next to king Wrynn and ask her to teleport you to Ogrimmar. When at Ogrimmar DON'T turn in the quest by talking to Thrall, instead go east and up to the Valley of Honor.
IMPORTANT INFO: Don't loot the baby crocolisk (quest item for the daily) if you should fish him up, then it doesnt matter that you brought the quest.
Now you should know what to do
! Just fish! And since you have (not necessary) Crocolisk in the City you should've finished both in 10 casts
maybe 20 or 30 or more, but just be patient. If you didn't bring the daily, you can stand there for lots of hours. What I know, it had taken at most 1300 casts to get the fish Old Crafty for the achievement Old Crafty.
You can always hs out of Ogrimmar and come back by talking to the same lady again.
IMPORTANT INFO: Don't loot the baby crocolisk (quest item for the daily) if you should fish him up, then it doesnt matter that you brought the quest.
OK, that's all.
I must apologize for the typos i probably have done in city names and item names, so I really appreciate all feedback on spelling and things in guide, that makes it better!
Horde guide for the cooking will be up sometime in the future.

The Snows of Northrend
Introduction
This guide is an guide on how to complete "The Snows of Northrend" Achievement,
it lists all quests and explains how to do them, I have also tried to use the same color coding and formatting as Jame uses in his leveling guide because people find it’s easier to do it the way people are familiar with.
Okay then we are almost ready to start, just one last thing:
Credit to those who deserves it.
-Brune For helping me with spelling corrections and formating of the guide.
- Jame For making this guide possible at all;) and for the help.
- All who post feedback/comments here:)
"Note: Last bits of formatiing of headlines etc. will come within the next few days, I have set the guide back to finished so it should be readable"
And here we go!

The Guide
1. Where in the World is Hemet Nesingwary?
Archmage Pentarus in Krasus’ Landing in Dalaran offers this quest at level 76.
Once you’ve got the quest, and are ready to leave Dalaran, talk to Archmage Pentarus and he will teleport you to Scholar Basin close to a guy named Monte Muzzleshot (39,58), Deliver the quest to him and get the follow up [Welcome to Sholazar Basin].
2. Welcome to Sholazar Basin
Travel east to Nessingwary Base Camp and deliver the quest to Hemet Nesingwary(27,58)

[Venture Co. Misadventure] from Debaar.
[Need an Engine, Take an Engine] from Weslex Quickwrench to the east of the camp.
Note: The ring for [It Could Be Anywhere!] the ring can drop from ANY mob in the zone so just keep the quest and hand it in when you get it.
4.Need an Engine, Take an Engine
Travel back towards where the guy in the parachute was, in the same area you should see a crashed plane, and in front of it is the [Flying Machine Engine] (38,56) loot it and return to Weslex Quickwrench
turn in the quest and get the follow-up [Have a Part, Give a Part]
5. Have a Part, Give a Part
Go to Swindlegrin's Dig(32,47) to the north/northeast, it's right on the north side of The Suntouched Pillar.
Go around here and kill Venture Co. Ruffians and Excavators and pick up [Venture Co. Spare Parts] from the ground, while looking for Engineer Helice(35,47) standing in the middle of the digsite, she gives the quest [Engineering a Disaster]
If she’s not here it means someone else is escorting her, she’ll probably be back in a few minutes. Take her quest and escort her to safety, after that go back to the digsite and do what you need to complete the two quests, then return to the Nesingwary Base Camp.
________________________________________
6. Back in Camp
Deliver [Engineering a Disaster].

Deliver [Have a Part, Give a Part]. Now Weslex will repair/rebuild his flying machine and it becomes a Flight Master. Get the new Flight path.
Optional: Right next to Weslex is Professor Calvert, talk to her and get the quest [Aerial Surveillance], we will go to where it's delivered later so you can just pick it up now if you want to.
7. Wipe That Grin Off His Face
Go back to Swindlegrin's Dig(32,47)
Meatpie is a big blue guy, patrolling a Wooden ramp (35,49)
Foreman Swindlegrin is a Goblin inside a shredder machine, he’s located atop of the same ramp as Meatpie is patrolling. Kill them both and return to Nesingwary Base Camp.
8. Shoot The Apple!!!

Deliver the quest and get the follow-up [The Great Hunter's Challenge].
Also get [Rhino Mastery: The Test] & [Dreadsaber Mastery: Becoming a Predator].
9.Let the Killing Begin!
Okay now we are going to kill Dreadsabers and Shardhorn Rhinos until you have got 15 kills of each.

11: To the Oracle

Go North into the river, and follow the river's north side eastwards while killing all crocs you find.
When you get to the river’s end then keep going east/north east towards where we found the Flying Engine and the man in the parachute earlier(39,58), while killing all crocs and Cobras you see. Now in this area walk around looking for "Sturdy Vines" they look like this:
![]()
Picture posted by: "menace" on www.wowhead.com
Right click a vine to make a random fruit drop down, loot it, keep running around killing cobras and crocs while using vines to get fruit. Also sometimes there might spawn an NPC instead of a piece of fruit, talk to him/her to get a fruit of your choice:)
Do this until you got the following quests completed:
[An Offering for Soo-rahm]
[Crocolisk Mastery: The Trial]
[Some Make Lemonade, Some Make Liquor]
Go south east to River's Heart(50,61)
If you don't have the Flight path there, get it now.

Deliver [Some Make Lemonade, Some Make Liquor] get the follow-up [Still At It]
Okay we are now going to do the quest [Still At It].
We need to click things,
There are 5 things to click on. There are 3 barrels: Papayas, Bananas & Oranges. Also there is a Brazier and a Pressure Valve.
Take a look around so you learn what’s where, then find a place where you can click all of them easily, I did it in front of the bananas. When you are ready talk to "Tipsy" McManus to start the event. When you are done, a barrel will spawn. Loot it, and then deliver the quest.
Get the follow-up [The Taste Test].
Go to Hemet Nesingwary and right click the [Jungle Punch Sample].
Turn around and look in the same direction as Hemet.
Haldarius is the Stable master he’s in front of you to the left, use the [Jungle Punch Sample] on him.
So then where is Tamara? She’s at River's Heart.[/] The place we were just before we flew back to the Camp.
Fly back there, when you land she’s to the right of you standing in front of a tent.
Use the [Jungle Punch Sample] on her. Fly back to Nesingwary Base Camp.
Deliver the [The Taste Test].
14. Grazer & Oracle steaks... Hey Wait a sec!
Then return to Oracle Soo-rahm(25,66).
When you pass the river look for Sandfern, green bushes that you can loot for the quest [Crocolisk Mastery: The Plan].
Remember to kill Longneck Grazers for [A Steak Fit for a Hunter].
Deliver [An Offering for Soo-rahm], get the follow-up [The Bones of Nozronn].
Go south to The Bones of Nozron, in front of the big skeleton there’s an Offering Bowl,
stand next to it and use the [Soo-rahm's Incense].
Wait for the event to end and the quest to complete.
Travel back to the River, look for Sandfern, go back to the Nesingwary Base Camp.
Deliver [The Bones of Nozronn] and get [Rhino Mastery: The Kill].

Right click them, and looking Sandfern plants to loot.
Walk around in the area and the beach until you complete both [Crocolisk Mastery: The Plan] & [Dreadsaber Mastery: Stalking the Prey].
If you have trouble with the footsteps/finding the place this video might help:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0yJJ0MJNrQ
Anyways when you are done, travel east to the eastern end of the lake, there you should find Farunn, kill him and loot him, then return to Nesingwary Base Camp.

Deliver [Rhino Mastery: The Kill].
Deliver [Crocolisk Mastery: The Plan] get [Crocolisk Mastery: The Ambush].

Go to it, stand on the middle of the upper part of it and use the [Sandfern Disguise] this will make
Bushwacker appear, Kill and loot him. go back to River's Heart and fly back to the Nesingwary Base Camp.
Note: If you have trouble finding the log or the spot to sue the disguise this video might help:

Go North/Northeast to Bittertide Lake(36,41) the place where we found the "Dreadsaber Tracks" in the sand
North West of that beach on the top of the cliffs there before the waterfall(32,35)
There you will find a Dreadsaber called Shango kill him and loot him.
And then return to Nesingwary Base Camp.
17. The Drakestalker
Deliver [Crocolisk Mastery: The Ambush]
Deliver [Dreadsaber Mastery: Ready to Pounce]
A new quest should now be available from Hemet Nesingway
get the quest [In Search of Bigger Game] from Hemet.
If you are not done with [A Steak Fit for a Hunter] yet
you might want to go south of the river and kill Longneck Grazer
until you got all 5 steaks, then go deliver the quest.
Travel northeast to Dorian's Outpost(42,28)
Marked on the map below by a red circle:

Talk to Dorian Drakestalker and

Now we are going to kill the Real beast, along with Hemet himself, while riding a mammoth!
Go to Dorian take his quest
You will mount/enter a mammoth along with Hemet,
we are going to kill Broodmother Slivina
She's at the red dot(47,20):

Here is how to use the abilities
#1 Standard Melee Attack ability.
#4 Target for Hemet, Makes Hemet attack that target, use it on her often.
#5 Charge, gain some distance, charge her to stun her for a few seconds.
#6 Gore - Spam use it on the dragon.
Tactics:
Go find the dragon. use charge to stun her then gore + run away, use #4 to make Hemet attack her and lead her to his traps, lead her to Dorian's Outpost and use charge+gore and run away + make her run into traps until she dies.
Should be easy.
When she’s dead, ride to Dorian and Leave the mammoth
Deliver [=#cc9933][Post-partum Aggression] to Dorian Drakestalker.
And there you go Snows of Nothrend achievement Completed.
- Congratulations! -
Since this is live now, I'm going to make sure everyone is aware that this is a work in progress, and when completed will be complete, have more detail, images and videos. At time of writing, I am 9 books short of the achievement. The alliance only parts have been completed, although much of the guide is still full of placeholders. The order used in the guide however is final.
I have written the guide with both Alliance and Horde in mind, and so the guide will split in two on occasion. The alliance should follow the blue parts of the guide, and the horde should follow the red parts of the guide.
This achievement is no walk in the park. Not everyone will have the patience to do this achievement, which makes it all the more desirable to have, so here's how to do it. Please note that all of this information was found in the Books Database of Wowhead. If anything is ever unclear or becomes inaccurate over time, everything can be found there.
These books are the lifeblood of the lore of World of Warcraft. If you are simply looking for more achievement points, then just open the book and close it. But if you are interested in knowing more about the game and the world contained within it, then go ahead and read the books! You might be surprised to know some of the "history" behind the everyday things you see in WoW. Give it a try!
What you will need..
Scholomance Key (The Skeleton Key)
Scarlet Monastery Key (The Scarlet Key)
Karazhan Key (The Master's Key)
Level 70
A Partner (Not 100% necessary, but it helps!)
Having a clear Karazhan instance for the week will simplify this greatly. If you don't have a clear karazhan instance of your own, you can ask a friend of guild member if they will allow you to use theirs. Here's a brief description of how that's done.
You need at least two people. You, unsaved to any Karazhan instance for that week, and your friend, who has cleared Karazhan in that week at least as far as Shade of Aran.
The player who is saved to the instance must invite the person who is NOT saved to a party. Note that the party MUST be started by the player who IS saved to the instance. Then, the saved player must turn the group into a raid group.
Once the raid has been created, the raid leader must walk into the instance first. Then you're free to use the instance to gather your books!
Part 1 - Scarlet Monastary [Video Here]
Head into the Library and follow the instance through, past the courtyard. Keep going until you find the first corridor with a red carpet. Along this corridor, enter the first room on your left.
Part 2 – Scholomance (Video Coming Soon)
NOTE: From this point onwards, we will occasionally trip over books that we already read in previous parts.
Get yourself a group. (Either 5 level 60's, or as few as 2 level 70's) It is entirely possible to solo the entirety of Scholomance at level 70, regardless of class or spec. While you're in here, you may as well use your Argent Dawn Commission and grab some Corruptor's Scourgestones to help boost your Argent Dawn reputation, helping towards the much covetted Argent Champion title.
Once you get the door open, using either your Skeleton Key or a rogue's lockpick ability, we begin!
Alliance Part 3 - Ironforge and Stormwind [Video Here]
Head to Ironforge, and look for the library behind the Hall of Explorers.
Horde Part 3 - Stonard(Video Soon)
Find the largest building in Stonard. It is a tower-like structure, with a Blood Elf NPC named Cersei Dusksinger standing just beyond the doorway. There is a large circular staircase in this building. Walk up it. At the top of the staircase is a room. Both of the books we want are in this room.
Part 4 - Karazhan(Coming Soon)
Unfortunately, this section of the guide will have to wait until I have done Karazhan this week. This will happen Friday at the earliest. This section of the guide may in fact be changed in WotLK, since few people will be running Karazhan then. One of these books can be found in Westfall for the Alliance, and Thelsamar, an Alliance town in Loch Modan, for the horde. (The horde can also go to Westfall but I suspect I will add this to the Wetlands route in part 8 of the guide for Horde.)
Both of these books can be find in the library after The Curator, and will be clear of mobs once the Shade of Aran has been killed. Exact locations and fraps to follow.
Part 5 - Booty Bay (Video Coming Soon)
Booty Bay is notoriously difficult to navigate for people unfamiliar with the town, so I strongly recommend using the video along with the directions here to find where you are going. Here come the directions, please read them carefully!
Step 1. Find the Big Shark (27,77) hanging upside down, outside the inn. It's probably the most noticable landmark in the town, so we'll start there!
Step 2. Face East. You will see a ramp going up to the top level of the town. Walk up this ramp.
Step 3. As soon as you reach the top of the ramp, you will see a bridge to your right. Walk across it.
Step 4. Once you have crossed the bridge, turn right. About 5 yards in front of you, there will be another right turn, to a ramp leading down slightly. Walk down this ramp, to where the stationary Booty Bay Bruiser is standing.
Step 5. Turn left and walk across the short bridge in front of you, then enter the building on your left.
Step 7. Enter the building in front of you. If you can see "Sea Wolf" MacKinley, then you are in the right place.
Step 8. Find the flight of stairs at the back of the room and follow them down.
Step 9. You will be in a room full of boxes with a stove. There is another flight of stairs going down at the opposite end of the room, find it and go down.
Step 11. As you walk out onto the main walkway, turn right and you will find a ramp leading upwards. Walk up the ramp.
Step 12. Turn around 180 degrees, and take the second ramp going up. You will find yourself back at the shark.
Step 13. Behind the shark as you look at it, you will see the Inn. Walk in a straight line as far as you can, under the Salty Sailor Tavern sign, and walk through the entrance on the right.
Step 14. You are now in the inn. Go upstairs and..
Part 6 - The Barrens (Work In Progress)
Once you're done in Booty Bay, get onto the boat to Ratchet. <
Alliance Part 7 - Darnassus [Video Here]
Make your way to Darnassus, and to the Tradesmen's Terrace. At around (65,75) you will find a house with a white lamp post and a purple vase outside. Enter this building and..
And that's it for the Alliance! Congratulations on your new achievement!
Horde Part 7 - Silvermoon
The first place you must find is Velaani's Arcane Goods shop, on the Walk of Elders at around (71,67). Once you're here, walk in and..
Horde Part 8 - Wetlands
Yes, Hordies, I know. It's been a much longer, much more difficult trek for us, compared to the alliance, who barely had to leave the comfort of their major cities. But unfortunately Thrall didn't see fit to add a comprehensive library to Orgrimmar. It just didn't seem important enough. And so, we head off on our final trek, the longest one yet, and the most dangerous by far! We're heading into enemy territory!
Fly to Hammerfall in Arathi Highlands. When you land, mount up. We are riding down to Menethil Harbor in the Wetlands.
When you arrive, stop at the bridge and work out your options. We need to get into the Inn of Menethil Harbor. This inn is full of civilians who will summon Level 65 guards to attack you. You will end up with 2 or 3 of these on you, and there isn't a great deal you can do about it. So let's think about what we can do.

As soon as you enter the inn, walk upstairs. As soon as you reach the top of the stairs, look to your left.
And for those of you who think there must be an easier way of getting these two books.. it was either here or Stormwind. Your choice!
And Congratulations to the Horde on their MUCH more difficult achievement!

I am currently finishing my Quests guide, then I will start the exploration guide.

Winter Veil Achievements
Colors:
Blue=Quest

Winter Veil, its the holiday event in December. Hallows End (Halloween) comes before it in October. The Lunar Festival comes after it in January. Doing all the below achievements gives you the title Merrymaker. Doing ALL of the world event achivement's rewards you with a Violet Proto-Drake. The achievement's for this event is not nearly as bad as stuff like Hallows end, which require many, many rare drops and lots of luck. So here we go!
The simplest way to get the hat is to do normal Nexus. You simply need to get in, do a couple blue dragonflight pulls, and keep going right. After that you will notice that there is a giant corridor of frozen soldiers of the opposite faction as you. Make sure that you sneak you take the largest space between soldiers as possible! They only unfreeze and agro if you get close to melee range. Now after you get through them there will be a sorceer chick with two of the mage hound things. Kill those, and then you have breathing room. The four mobs lined up facing the wall can be sneaked past. Just face the wall and slowly inch your way across. Now you have four mob pull to the mage herself. This is a tough pull, and if you do it, you should be able to do the boss no problem. The boss then. Burn her down really fast, but try to pop your cooldowns after the first gravity well (It throws you around and damages your a little bit). Then burn down the three adds, frost first, then arcane, then fire. Afterwards she turns normal, burn her down and loot! The hat is a uncommon and drops 100% of the time. I did this with a 75 Restoration Shamman and level 80 Death Knight. It was really easy, and I think it could easily be duo'd by a tank and a healer. We had the Druid stealth past the more stealthy parts because of his lower level.
Crashin' and Thrashin' and He Knows if You've Been Naughty
Both of these are quite easy. Go to your factions Capitol city (Stormwind or Ironforge). Then find huge tree that great father winter is right next to. Open all of the presents, all of them are quests. When you open the first one you get He knows if You've been naughty.
Now the second one takes a tad more time. One of the presents you will get is a Crashin' Thrashin' Racer Controller. Right click it and your actionbars are swapped with one that has one button on it. When you use it it rams into another targeted racer. Now you need to hit another one 25 times. You cannot let another person blow up yours, it does not count if you do. Now the easiest way to find another person is just to look around the tree. Plenty of people will be trying to get this thing just like you.
Simply Abomidable So for this you need to recover some stolen treats. Get the quest from the Smokeywood pasture Goblin's at your Major Capitol. Now head to Arathi highlands, this length of time this takes varies by faction. Its a quick trip for Hordies from Undercity to Tauren mill and longer for alliance going from Southshore. Once there find the yellow ?, its the yellow dot on the map.
Turn the quest in and get the follow up, then use the following macro to find and tag the Abomidable Grench (Found on Wowhead):
/cleartarget
/tar The A
/stopmacro [noexists] , [dead]
/cast Arcane shot(Rank 1)
/run RaidNotice_AddMessage(RaidBossEmoteFrame,"THERE IT IS! KILL IT!", ChatTypeInfo["RAID_WARNING"])
This macro clears your target, targets the greench, but not if he is dead, then casts a spell (Arcane shot in this case) Then in raid warning says THERE IT IS! KILL IT! Its a fun macro, for you non hunters just replace arcane shot with another ability, but be sure to put the rank in too.
A Frosty Shake So after you turn in the quest, around 24 hours after that you get a snowman disguise kit. It requires a snowball that you can buy for 5 copper. You need to /dance with another snowman in Dalaran. Just find another one with the disguise kit and /dance. You can even do this with someone of another faction

(Image from a Thottbot screenshot)
Now it shows them using five people. However you do not need five, I have done it with four, and some report doing it with three. You see when you stand in the Penagram, and someone else is to, a red beam comes between you and the other person. The more people you have, the more crisscrosy the beam's are. When you leave one of the circles, the beam of red stays there for a short time. You need to have everyone stand still, except the one or two people who are going to move. Both the people need to be on Epic ground. Once the others are assembled, you need to quickly move to the open circle next to you. If you do it quick enough, then he will be summoned. After killing all five sons of Gruul, you need to go to Ogri'la.
Then find 5 Apexis shards. For some reason these drop the most from etherals and elementals in Bash'ir Landing, which is at the top of the zone. After you find five shards head back in turn in. Don't get the follow up, get Our Boy Wants To Be A Skyguard Ranger. Find 10 more shards, then go to the Northern Forge camp. Find the evil forge thing, buy one Unstable Flask of the Beast from it. Turn in, and get The Skyguard Outpost. Turn in, get the Bombing run, just drop bombs on the marked objects. Turn in, use some Preserved or Fresh Holly (Get from saving Saving Metzen or a method below) on your flyer, and get the daily bomb them again. Do it as normal, but on the Reindeer. Turn in and you are all set!
For actually finding these people, all of them that are horde can probably be found in Orgrimmar while the Alliance ones can be found in Stormwind or Ironforge. Now then since you may have trouble getting in to the opposing factions cities, you should go to Dalaran or the battlegrounds. Wintergrasp is also a good option.

Ahune does not need to be tanked. During the first phase, have your tank pick up the largest add and have most of your DPS focus on it. One DPS should be designated to picking up and killing the other little adds. Mainly to keep them off the healer. Phase two will begin when you get a raid warning that says something like ‘Ahune has retreated’. He will change forms and become vulnerable to damage so all DPS needs to focus on him until phase 1 begins again. Note that Ahune will drop different loot depending on if the instance is normal or heroic.

Guides on how to obtain keys and attunements for certain areas of the game such as Onyxia's Lair or Naxxramas.
Step 1:
First, find yourself a group to UBRS that will do the whole place. Travel to Blackrock Mountain and run up along the chain that leads to BRD and jump down there, turn right and run towards some kind of place, jump on to it and your just outside the entrance to BRS. Get some guy who can help you kill the Scarshield Quartermaster. Start killing the mobs to the right and fight them until you reach the Scarshield Quartermaster, kill him and loot the letter he drops. Rightclick the letter and start the quest, Blackhand's Command.
Step 2:
Now go along with your group until you reach General Drakkisath, kill him and then touch the orb behind him.
Gratz, now you can raid Blackwing Lair!
To enter Blackwing Lair just go and kill that Scarshield Quartermaster again and touch the orb that he is guarding, that will teleport you into Blackwing Lair.
Happy hunting!
Author's Notes
This is a step-by-step guide on how to obtain The Master's Key, which is needed to gain access to Karazhan, a 10-man Raid Instance in Deadwind Pass. My guide also covers pre-questing and attunements for all dungeons needed to complete the Karazhan attunement questline. It does not, however, cover Karazhan tactics and raid content, it is just a tool to prepare you for this instance.
I strongly advise you to have a coordinates add-on installed, as I will use coordinates throughout the guide.
I will be using the following color code: quests, NPCs, locations and quest items.
This is also my first guide, so please leave as much feedback as possible.
1. Travel to the Deadwind Pass and find Archmage Alrturus standing just outside the entrance to the instance (47,75). Get the quests Arcane Disturbances and Restless Activity.
2. At (48,78) go down one of the two entrances leading down into an underground cave. Clear your way to the pond and use the Violet Scrying Crystal next to the water. Go back up and this time go down the other entrance, the one leading down into a cellar. Clear the way to the well and use the Violet Scrying Crystal next to it. By now you should be done gathering Ghostly Essences for the other quest as well. If not, kill some more ghosts. When done with both quests return to Archmage Alrturus and turn in the two quests. Get the follow-up Contact from Dalaran.
3. Travel to the Alterac Mountains. Go to Archmage Cedric, who can be found on the outskirts of Dalaran (15,54). Turn in Contact from Dalaran and get the follow-up Khadgar.
4. Go to Khadgar in Shattrath City (54,44). Turn in Khadgar and get the follow-up Entry into Karazhan.
We are done with the pre-questing, now it's instance time!
Instances
1. If you are attuned for The Shadow Labyrinth (or if you know you will group up with someone who can open this instance), skip this step. Get a group together and go to the Sethekk Halls in Auchindoun, Terokkar Forest. Kill the boss Talon King Ikiss and loot the Shadow Labyrinth Key.
2. Next we are going to get the First Key Fragment of the Karazhan key. Get a group together and go do the Shadow Labyrinth instance in Auchindoun, Terokkar Forest. At the end of the instance, in the room where you killed the last boss (Murmur) look for an Arcane Container, which looks like this. Make sure your group is ready, because when you open the container an elite First Fragment Guardian will spawn (looks like an elemental). Kill it and loot the First Key Fragment
3. Return to Khadgar in Shattrath City, turn in Entry into Karazhan and get the follow up The Second and Third Fragments.
4. Now we are going to obtain the Second Key Fragment. Get a group together and go to The Steamvault instance of the Coilfang Reservoir in Zangarmarsh. You don't have to do the whole instance, as the Arcane Container is located in the pool of water to the right of the first boss (Hydromancer Thespia). Same thing - open the container, kill the Second Fragment Guardian and loot the Second Key Fragment.
The next part will be completed inside The Arcatraz. To access it you need a flying mount and the Key to the Arcatraz, which is obtained by completing a quest chain in Netherstorm. However, only one person in your group must have the key and the whole party can enter the instance. Additionally, a rogue with maxed out Lockpicking skill can open the entrance. If one of your party members has the key or can lockpick, then skip the following step and go directly to step 6.
5. Attunement for The Arcatraz
6. Now get a group together for The Arcatraz in Tempest Keep, Netherstorm. The Arcane Container is found after the boss Zereketh the Unbound. You don't have to kill him, just pass by him and go up the ramp. Pass the corridor and then in a room full of voidwalkers you have the container to the right as you enter the room. Open it, kill the Third Fragment Guardian that spawns and loot the Third Key Fragment. You don't have to finish the rest of the instance.
7. Return to Khadgar in Shattrath City (54,44), turn in The Second and Third Fragments and get the follow up The Master's Touch.
For the next part, you will need to be attuned for The Black Morass, so if you already are attuned skip the following step and go directly to step 9.
8. Attunement for The Black Morass
If you are attuned to The Old Hillsbrad, skip directly to point 4.
9. Finally, form a group to go through The Black Morass in the Caverns of Time, Tanaris. Make sure your entire group has done the Black Morass attunement first. Turn in The Black Morass to Sa'at inside the instance and get the follow-up The Opening of the Dark Portal.
10. Complete opening the Dark Portal to be able to talk to Medivh in the instance, turn in The Master's Touch and get the follow up Return to Khadgar. And while you're here, go back to Sa'at, turn in The Opening of the Dark Portal and get the follow-up Hero of the Brood, if you haven't done this already (Hero of the Brood is turned in at Andormu outside the instance).
11. Travel back to Shattrath City. Turn in Return to Khadgar at Khadgar and you will receive The Master's Key.
Congratulations, you are now attunned to Karazhan!
You can take the quest The Violet Eye from Khadgar to continue the Karazhan quest line, but we won't be doing it in the guide.
Introcution:
When your guild starts doing MC, noone will want to go through BRD. The only way to avoid the long journey is to do the quest [60]Attunement to the Core. You get it from a blood elf near the entrance to BRD. After you get on the platform after the second chain you just can't miss him. You can get the quest only if you're lvl 55+. When you take it, don't leave. Turn around the place where he is and you'll see an orange crystal. You're going to teleport to MC after you finish the attunement. Now, let's get inside.
Inside:
When you get inside there's nothing special to do. Follow Jame's guide(click here) untll you get outside the room with the seven dwarves. You'll see a bridge with 6 elementals on it.Kill them and continue. You'll be in a room with an orange crystal on the floor. Take it and either continue with BRD or go back to the elf.
Grats, now your guildmates have someone to ask for the quest.
))
To get your key to Onyxia, you must go to Morgan's Vigil in the Burning Steppes. That is where the chain starts.

Step 11:
Step 12:
Step 13:
Step 14:
Step 15:
This might not be of any use, but I see it as a try for me to write and practise
Step 1:
First you have to travel to Kargath in Badlands and go to a tower not long away from where you landed if you flew. In this tower there is a guy called Warlord Goretooth. Talk to him and go trough his conversation you will then receive a letter. Warlord Goretooth's Command. (I think it was a letter) Right-click on the letter and you will receive a quest, Warlord's Command.
Step 2:
In this quest you have to travel to Lower Blackrock Spire. As Jame has written a wonderful guide to this place, why not use it? http://www.wow-pro.com/node/593
When you have completed Warlord's Command you will receive the quest, Eitrigg's Wisdom.
Step 3:
Travel to Orgrimmar and go to Thrall's Chamber and talk to his adviser, Eitrigg (a speech bubble) and then complete the quest at Thrall, he will give you the quest, For the Horde!.
Now you have to travel to Upper Blackrock Spire and kill Warchief Rend Blackhand. Just jump on to a normal UBRS raid, as Rend is not able to bypass. When you complete the quest, everyone in Orgrimmar will receive a buff.
Step 4:
Thrall asks you to seek out Rexxar who roams from north Feralas, through Desolace, and into southern Stonetalon Mountains. Rexxar will give you the quest, The Testament of Rexxar.
Now you have to deliver Rexxar's Testament to Myranda the Hag in Western Plaguelands. Myranda the Hag is located near Uther's tomb, south of Andorhal, standing on a tree stump. She will give you the quest, Oculus Illusions.
Step 5:
Once again you have to go to UBRS and get some Black Dragonspawn Eyes from the dragnkins inside. They drop 1-2 at a time and are common. It should be enough with one run
When you turn in the quest you will get an Amulet of Draconic Subversion and the quest, Emberstrife.
Step 6:
Travel to Emberstrife's Den in Dustwallow Marsh, it´s the cave at the cliff to the very south. The Amulet of Draconic Subversion will transform you into a Black Scalebane once inside Emberstrife's Den. While disguised, speak to Emberstrife. He will behave as an NPC. He will give you three quests called The Test of Skulls, Skryer/Somnus/Chronalis.
Step 7:
Axtroz can be found in Wetlands, at the Dragonmaw Gates region, the curved valley area in the east side of the zone. Travel down the valley and you will find Axtroz. Kill him and return to Emberstrife to receive the quest, Ascension...
Step 8:
Now you have to find Rexxar again. He will give you the quest, Blood of the Black Dragon Champion.
Now you have to travel to UBRS again and this time kill General Drakkisath. Kill him, and get the blood of him.
NOTE: General Drakkisath only drops 2-3 bloods each kill.
Step 9:
Return to Rexxar and you will receive the Drakefire Amulet, a necklace.
Keep the Drakefire Amulet in your inventory to be allowed access into Onyxia's Lair.
You are now eligible to raid Onyxia, Brood Mother of the Black Dragonflight!
This guide shows you how to take advantage of the level 74 quest "The Magical Kingdom of Dalaran". The quest has no XP or rep and its follow up will only get you 2100-2310 XP and +10 Kirin Tor rep. Following this guide you will save many hours of flight time and gold.
Step 1: Get the quest from one of the following NPC's:
Alliance:
Baron Ulrik von Stromhearth (Valgarde, Howling Fjord)
Archmage Modera (Star's Rest, Dragonblight)
Vas the Unstable (Wintergarde, Dragonblight)
Magister Dath'omere (Valiance Keep, Borean Tundra)
Magistrix Haelenai (Amberpine Lodge, Grizzly Hills)
Horde:
Image of Archmage Aethas Sunreaver (Agmar's Hammer, Dragonblight)
Magistrix Kaelana (Warsong Hold, Borean Tundra)
Magister Varenthas (Vengeance Landing, Howling Fjord)
Magistrix Phaelista (Conquest Hold, Grizzly Hills)
Magister Tyr'ganal (Venomspite, Dragonblight).
Step 2: Keep the item "Kirin Tor Signet" in your inventory. If you destroy it or put it in your bank, the NPC's will not port you.
Step 3: NEVER complete the quest. As long as you have the quest, you will always have an instant port to Dalaran from Borean Tundra, Dragonblight, Howling Fjord and Grizzly Hills. Once you complete this quest, you no longer get to take advantage of it.
Step 1:
Travel to Tirisfal Glade and go to the Bulwark in the west edge just before Western Plaguelands and talk to High Executor Derrington. Get the quest All Along the Watchtowers, it's marked as elite but it's very easy to do solo as the elites inside the towers won't aggro. Mark all four towers and return to High Executor Derrington and turn in the quest.
Step 2:
Now you get the quest, Scholomance. Talk to Apothecary Dithers and get the next quest, Skeletal Fragments.
Go back to Andorhal and kill the skeletons inside, you need 15 Skeletal Fragments to complete it. Get the fragments and turn in the quest and get the next one, Mold Rhymes With...
Step 3:
Make sure you have 15 gold and then travel to Gadgetzan in Tanaris. Talk to Krinkle Goodsteel and get the next quest, Fire Plume Forged.
Get two thoium bars from the Auction House if your not an miner or ask someone for them. Travel to Fire Plume Ridge in Un'Goro Crater. Go to the lava lake at the mountain and rightclick the Skeleton Key Mold there. Go back to the Bulwark and turn in the quest at Apothecary Dithers and get the last quest in the chain, Araj's Scarab.
Step 4:
Get some more people to help and go to Andorhal and kill Araj the Summoner, return to Apothecary Dithers to get your key to Scholomance.
Gratz, now you'll never have to be in a group without the key!
The Alliance one (As I read about it) Is exactly the same except guys are at another spot, Chillwind Point.
Well...going to Gnomeregan is really not so hard, but you need to know how, if you don't want to run all the way to Ironforge.
If you want a easier way, follow these instructions:
1) Go to Orgrimmar
2) Find a guard and ask for the engeniering trainer
3) Talk to the engeniering supplier Sovik and get [35] Chief Engineer Scooty
4) Fly to Ratchet and take a boat to Booty Bay
5) Speak to Scooty
6) Wait few moments to get attuned and then go into the teleport machine you see in front of you
This is very useful at any level, if you want to travel fast to ironforge.
I'm thinking of druids and rogues in particular, as they can even go into ironforge and reach the heart of Stormwind throught the subway that connects the two cities.

Guides on how to generally organise Guilds and Raiding.
Being in a good guild is one of the most rewarding and fun aspects of World of Warcraft. Running a good guild is like being the captain of a winning sports team - everyone loves you for it and you have a blast. Unfortunately running a guild successfully is also fairly difficult. Most new guilds never get off the ground, and those that do will always have occasional problem members, activity problems, and other upsets. This guide will help you make sure your guild is a place everyone wants to be, and help it stay active for a long time.
